Riku is the cool and collected type of guy who has a bit of an edge. He’s the type of pretty boy girls usually fall for and guys circle around to get a touch of his popularity. He’s a nineteen year old second year whose birthday is coming around pretty soon and has a pretty interesting personality. He’s actually bisexual although not many people know since he doesn’t go around dating guys all the time if at all as well as he likes to keep most of his life private. He’s an art major and participates in different club activities whenever he can.

Once you get past Riku’s surface personality of cockiness and cool aloofness you’ll find a friendlier guy. Riku is actually a pretty fun guy who likes to do things other teens like to do as well. He especially loves a friendly rivalry every once in a while. He doesn’t mind making friends though he’s not naïve to the fact people will try to use him so he knows they’ll be two types of friends surrounding him. The illusionary ones that just want to use him and get close to him while there will also be the true friends that will always stand by his side.

Riku hasn’t really had that many relationships but he’s familiar with them on both sides of the road. While more attracted to the male population it’s ironic that he’s had more relationships with females. Once in a relationship Riku isn’t the same person he is when he’s not in one. He’s a lot sweeter and less competitive when he’s in a relationship but it’s a side that is rarely seen by others since he’s very private when it comes to his intimate relationships but those lucky enough to call themselves his lovers are always lucky. Of course there are the mess arounds, one night stands, ‘with benefits’ but Riku rarely ever dips his fingers into this bowl of chocolate.

Riku’s surface attitude of cool aloofness often gets on peoples nerves. Add his cockiness and sometimes competitively condescending smirks and of course you’re going to have people that want to strangle Riku. He doesn’t snap very easily but Riku does anger at some points. He has a sharp tongue that has a habit of cutting into people and making them angry at him and his brash impulsiveness only makes things worse.

I'll just recap what we had before (or what I can remember of it) and we can go from there. Feel free to change things around or whatever. I won't mind. I'll just copy/past the major point from Riku's previous plotter and we'll go from there.

We've plotted these two before, I know, but I want to iron out some details and do a bit more plottage. Since a years passed and all. And I don't remember most of what we talked about before. xD Not to mention plotting is so much fun. Especially when you're bored and have nothing else to really do during work. >.>

I was looking at all the possible relationships listed in Addie's Plotter and decided to list some of them here. That way we can pick through them and then flesh out all the actual ideas. And I want to be able to list Riku's name in her Plotter and have you actually know about them. x3 So here goes~

They're already friends so I figured I'd start there. Of the relationships in that category, Riku could fit just about all of them. I was thinking Close Friends because they've known each other a while, maybe even Best Friends, though Close Friends seems like a stronger bond to me... Anyway~ They could also act as Emotional Support and Confidants/Secret Keepers for each other, since she mellows him out and all that.

I'm also thinking that she has a crush on him and doesn't want to say anything. Because they're friends and she doesn't want to mess that up. Even more so since she's not sexually into him (or anyone for that matter). But she'd probably let him do what he wanted, to a certain extent, because she cares about him and all. That'd more depend on where you wanted to take their relationship.

And aside from all that, a certain level of Respect and Admiration could be thrown in. And Riku's already Protective of Addie. I'm not sure about a You're My Hero kinda thing, but I definitely see him as her Shoulder To Cry On. And it's sort of a given that they Have Each Other's Backs. And aside from possible Wanting Each Other's Attention I'm done bothering you with the huge list of possible plotting. xD

it was decided that most of that was good. i think the only thing that really had any elaboration, really, was the crush and what would happen. basically, she tells him she like him when their both all vulnerable somehow (like, i dunno, maybe something happens and she thinks they won't see each other again so she tells him but it turns out nothing was going to seperate them after all) and at that moment he thinks he feels the same. But then he realizes he doesn't (either because he realizes he loves sora or just because he only sees her as a friend or whatever) so he lets her down easy.

but then she starts hanging out with another guy and he gets all jealous and protective but tries to keep it to himself. and no matter what, they both stay friends and move passed all the awkwardness and it turns out well even though she'll always love him!

this is already SO long, gosh! You're welcome to change any details and stuff. Or add to things. Whatever.

I think for this one, I'm just wondering if you're still interested in the plot we had for them? If I recall correctly, they don't know anything about each other, he doesn't know she's a girl when they meet, and she's basically playing heir to protect both him and their brother from their father. she's giving up on her own interests and dreams because being the heir keeps their dad happy and makes him a bit friendlier to her brothers. if there was anything else, i don't really remember it. but we can either re-think their plotting, change things around a bit, or basically pick up where we left of (which was only their first meeting anyway so...). however you'd like to play it.

Close friends are a definite and i love the idea of them both being vulnerable when she confesses. Maybe he finds something out about back home and he tells her and she shares something. They have a moment and she confesses and for a while he tricks himself into thinking he feels the same. I love the idea of an awkward period and a jealous period between the two lol.

I would really love to continue this plot~ yeah i remember they didn't know each other and she was curious about him. I know we'd agreed for her to follow him and accidentally bump into him when she loses sight of him.

He's gonna be all calm and oblivious while she's freaking out about him being so close and panicking because she can't swim and kinda fears water. If it wasn't so late, I'd go write a second chapter to that fic I posted way back when. But it's 2am so... yeah.

I don't think we made it very far into the original thread, so it probably wouldn't hurt just to start over. Because their first thread is their bumping into each other so... it should be fine? I can start it with Kyou seeing him leave the house and following, or you can start it with Riku leaving the house and then me posting that Kyou follows him? Or I guess, if you want, we can just skip the 'how it happened' and have them just run into one another right at the start. xD I'm fine with whatever.

So, since I've been stalking Sora's plotter. I just have to ask, how did the communications between Riku and Addie go over the summer? She was traveling around with her family but she did spend some of the beginning and end of the summer on the islands, but other than that she was off in various places.

So maybe they were texting and stuff a lot while they were apart? Since they're already best friends and all that. And I was also wondering if you had any ideas for when the whole confession thing should happen? I figure we shouldn't take too long to get to that point. Then can come all of the drama. xD

I don't want to drag out their plot too long, though I don't want to just skip too much, but I do want to get it done somewhat quickly so that you guys can get all that RikuSora stuff going!

Definitely texting and calling since Riku was mostly on lock down during the summer lol. I can see them having late night conversations and getting their timezones mixed up lol

Maybe we should start close to when she begins to realize her feelings. Like he does/says something and something happens for her? Not going straight into it but close enough that it'll make some sense. I'm pulling at straws xD um...maybe she's having a problem or she loses someone important and he promises never to leave her.

She'd stay up as long as she could manage talking to him and telling her about whatever she did that day and stuff. And just talking about random things once they ran out of 'i did this' conversations. She's probably have fallen asleep while talking to him once or twice, especially near the end of summer when all the lost sleep is really catching up to her. xD

If I had made her so cheerful, or as cheerful as she gets I guess, in that open thread, we could start of with a really close relative dying or something. Or maybe she gets a call after a round or two of posting and is told about the death then? She'd be all kinds of devastated and she'd probably end up crying and asking him not to ever leave her and stuff. I don't know. xD

She already knows she loves him and stuff so this whole scene would be really meaningful to her and she might even tell him how she feels both to get it off her chest and because she doesn't want something to happen and him never know. Like, maybe she never really told the relative that died how much she cared about them or something. So she just kind of blurts it out to Riku after he promises not to leave?

I think from there, it could move a little more slowly. Just enough to show that Riku thinks he loves her too before his feelings start to unravel and he realizes that it's all platonic on his end?

He'll tease her relentlessly about falling asleep on the phone and probably say that she's probably an adorable sleeper. After all this is Riku we're talking about and he's far too much of a smooth talker for his own good even when he's being completely playful lol and i just think it's completely adorable that they'd fall asleep listening to each other's voices :3 or well he'd probably fall asleep listening to her breath lol

Hmm~ i can just see Riku's reaction to get confession torn yet flattered. he wouldn't want to take advantage of her but being as close as he is to her he'd mistake his feelings for love and go along with it but he wouldn't want to rush it. It'd be a bitter sweet scene i think. I like the idea of their first meeting being cheerful then a little later getting the call.

BTW!Lol talking to jade about Kousuke and Riku have me an idea. I pmed you about it.

These two are gonna be so, so cute! Even after all of their drama settles, once they're back into the 'best friends' terms, I can see them still staying up super late on the phone talking about things.

Anyway~ she'd probably pout or complain about being teased for it but shed know that it was all in good fun and she'd never actually be seriously mad or upset at him for it. I keep picturing the two of them falling asleep on the phone, her to his voice and him to her breathing. At least she doesn't snore, though! xD

Poor Riku is probably gonna end up feeling worse at the end than Addie, just because he'll know that he strung her along because he couldn't properly place his own feelings after she confesses. But that's what's gonna make this fun.

I'll have to go read the PM now. I read a bit if the plotting you two had going and I was actually thinking about adding in Kyou but just haven't gotten around to it yet. xD

XD ikr!! He wouldn't give up those late night talks for the world. He'll be so sad when during that awkward period they dont do it as much (if at all) but once they go back to it he'll feel so much better just because he'd have so much to tell her and she's one of the only people he opens up to completely. he'll have missed his friend <3 XD they're so darn cute!

he really is going to feel utterly horrid lol poor guy is going to have so many problems but whats a little drama x3 during that whole time he's always going to be questioning his feelings and when he finally figures it out he's going to HATE himself. he wouldn't blame her if she stopped talking to him. he'll probably lay low for a while, worried about how she's going to take the fact he doesn't actually like her in that way. poor Addie D:
