Riku is the cool and collected type of guy who has a bit of an edge. He’s the type of pretty boy girls usually fall for and guys circle around to get a touch of his popularity. He’s a nineteen year old second year whose birthday is coming around pretty soon and has a pretty interesting personality. He’s actually bisexual although not many people know since he doesn’t go around dating guys all the time if at all as well as he likes to keep most of his life private. He’s an art major and participates in different club activities whenever he can.

Once you get past Riku’s surface personality of cockiness and cool aloofness you’ll find a friendlier guy. Riku is actually a pretty fun guy who likes to do things other teens like to do as well. He especially loves a friendly rivalry every once in a while. He doesn’t mind making friends though he’s not naïve to the fact people will try to use him so he knows they’ll be two types of friends surrounding him. The illusionary ones that just want to use him and get close to him while there will also be the true friends that will always stand by his side.

Riku hasn’t really had that many relationships but he’s familiar with them on both sides of the road. While more attracted to the male population it’s ironic that he’s had more relationships with females. Once in a relationship Riku isn’t the same person he is when he’s not in one. He’s a lot sweeter and less competitive when he’s in a relationship but it’s a side that is rarely seen by others since he’s very private when it comes to his intimate relationships but those lucky enough to call themselves his lovers are always lucky. Of course there are the mess arounds, one night stands, ‘with benefits’ but Riku rarely ever dips his fingers into this bowl of chocolate.

Riku’s surface attitude of cool aloofness often gets on peoples nerves. Add his cockiness and sometimes competitively condescending smirks and of course you’re going to have people that want to strangle Riku. He doesn’t snap very easily but Riku does anger at some points. He has a sharp tongue that has a habit of cutting into people and making them angry at him and his brash impulsiveness only makes things worse.

Well, since they're both from the Islands and probably went to the same school, or at least lived relatively close to each other? I'd say they'd be [best?] friends and all that.

Sora's really confused about his sexuality now [after having a really weird experience with his new roommate >.>] so he might develop a little crush on Riku out of his admiration for the older boy [of course it doesn't have to be reciprocated or anything like that, it could just be a fleeting thing for Sora]. But yeah, do you have any ideas? Or anything you'd like to add/subtract from what I wrote? :3

Maybe work our way up to best friends? Maybe they had a few classes together before but never really interacted fully? But either way friends sounds good to me since I cant think of them as anything negative lol. I’m so used to them looking out for each other in the KH games. Maybe when Sora found out Riku was in KU it was through a mutual friend that introduced them or something? Or maybe Sora needed tutoring or something? We could start it from there?

As for feelings, it isn’t exactly known that Riku is bi so it’d be interesting if he found out Sora had a little thing for him. At first he might be slightly confused and even amused by it but he might grow more curious as the days go passed. Though I think it’d be more interesting if he was completely oblivious to it even though. Actually I just had a thought, if Sora did happen to crush on Riku what if he found out Riku was bi in a round about way and became really awkward around him? Maybe a catalyst for Riku to realize Sora has feelings for him little by little?

Right, I keep forgetting that they wouldn't have been as close as they were in the games in this setting xD! Hm, well I could definitely see Sora needing tutoring--he's more of a sports player than someone who excels in academics so Riku being his tutor in some subject would definitely make sense.

Sora probably wouldn't understand what he was feeling at first, he hasn't had very much experience with relationships and he always just assumed that he was into girls because he had never really had an encounter like that with another guy before. So he'd probably be awkward from the get go since he wouldn't understand why he was feeling that way for another guy. He'd probably just automatically assume that Riku didn't swing that way since he seems more of a ladies man and all.

Ohh~! I like your idea. Sora accidentally finding out about Riku's sexuality and becoming even more awkward than he probably already is [if that's even possible? lol]. But yeah, that could definitely work :3

I just had an idea and it involves Sora of course. I like the whole love triangle idea and something could be added to that. If Tore found out that Riku was bi it’d be an interesting experience to have a guy chase after him. Plus Riku would have probably heard of Tore-n one way or another and already be somewhat wary of him. If Tore-n did end up chasing him around he could be the reason Sora ended up finding out about Riku’s sexuality since Riku isn’t above a little playful flirting or teasing. All in all though it’d be funny to see how these two interact with each other.

My suggestion about the how Sora finds out about Riku’s sexuality is with Tore-n plottage. I have a feeling with Riku he wouldn’t be crazy about the whole crushing thing because of the age difference at first since he’s really old fashioned when it comes to that stuff. But I have a feeling eventually if he does acquire some type of feelings for Sora he’ll eventually over look that. Also if he does acquire feelings, he wont really realize it at first but he’ll eventually realize how he feels about Sora. Yay to really seriously awkward moments xD. I have a feeling from time to time when Sora gets awkward around Riku, Riku is gonna start teasing him and be completely oblivious.

Hmmm so they meet first because Riku decides to tutor him? Maybe that’s how the admiration starts?

And it's not like Sora's not used to being teased because it happens on a daily basis [seriously, in pretty much every thread he's in there's someone teasing/making fun of his naivety/innocence/ignorance xD], he'd probably feel like Riku's teasing was more playful and innocent than some of the things his classmates have said to him so he more than likely won't mind it when Riku does it lol.

And yeah--but I don't know what Riku could be tutoring Sora in since they don't have any classes together. Unless you just say that Riku took the class his 1st year and did really well and that's why he's able to act as a tutor this year and all.

Well, she's not very talkative unless she's being forced to interact with others [i.e; on projects/etc], for the most part she's one of those quiet girls who prefers to immerse herself in her art/music/writings than put herself out there. But since they're both 2nd year Art majors [well, her's is a minor, but she's still taking all the classes and all, so yeah lol] I figure they'd have had classes together and would have seen each other around and all that. So maybe they could be acquaintances for sure, but be on friendly terms? She'd find his calm and mature demeanor to be refreshing since most of the kids in her classes [well, her Drawing class, at least] are obnoxious. xD

Lol Riku’s teasing would probably be innocent at first until he realized his feelings. He’d probably goad Sora into a few small competitions once in a while because this is Riku we’re talking about and he likes being competitive lol.

Uuuum maybe Riku starts tutoring him in History cause in all truth Riku sucks at math xD. He hates the subject and wishes it would just burn. He always zones out in math class so he could cloud watch lol. But yeah he could help Sora in history subject or any subject that isn’t math. But yeah since he is a 2nd year student he could be like he took it his freshman year and that could be the excuse we use =P.
