Really quick threadage between Riku and Addie!

So Riku is going to have a birthday get together. Obviously going to invite her and Sora would of course also get invited. I'm wondering if Riku would be aware of her feelings by that time and how interesting the plot would get for this love triangle.

if we go with how we've set up the thread in the park, then her confession would be taking place there. So he woyld definitely know how she felt.

I was thinking, because I was reading all or yours and Sora's plotting. The birthday party could be a good time for him to realize that his feelings for Addie are platonic? Maybe they're all affectionate for a while, just holding hands or whatever, and he asks for a birthday kiss or something?

Sora was feel terrible and leave, he'd realize he wasn't into her like that, and then he could go after Sora after explaining to her that he can't lie to her about his feelings. She end up leaving the party, of course, because that's when their real drama would start.

We would need another thread or two to show their relationship during the point where they're 'dating' or whatever, but those can be filled in anytime, really. It depends how long you want to wait to have his birthday thread?

Well Riku's birthday is literally the last day of September so I'm willing to wait a while considering most of the threads I've written in hint that it's quite a few days away. So i don't want to speed anything up.

Well maybe that's when he starts questioning his feelings for her? Maybe (since he's going to be slightly intoxicated) he kisses her but sees Sora leave and pulls away from her and goes after him. Then the next morning when he remembers everything he starts questioning his feelings? Maybe go two more threads where he's not as affectionate and just plain confused? Before he realizes what his feelings are and then things get awkward one he tells her?

Boy kisses girl, boy runs after another boy, girl is left there all confused. This works! Addie is smart, she'd pretty much know what was going on but wouldn't want to admit it to herself, let alone say anything to him about it.

She'd feel pretty lonely after he runs off and then just go home. Well, back to her dorm.

So she'd pretty much know that he's not into her like that, especially when the affection level drops. She'd still be really upset at the end, but her ecover would be a little quicker since she'd have known it was coming all along.

Awkwardness ensues for a thread or two, where Addie avoids him as much as she can and they don't talk on the phone much, if at all. Then she finally gets her own thoughts together and her guilt gets the beat of her, and she calls and asks if they can maybe meet somewhere or something?

Yeah that sounds about right. Unless you want to do another thread before the party and then after? That way the shift in behavior is noticeable.

XD I feel like Riku is going to come off as a jerk in this thread lol stringing along both Sora and Addie although neither boys actually notice their growing feelings and then kissing the girl only to run after the boy. Yup I'm going to be yelling at Riku through out this whole thread telling him he's an idiot lol awe poor Addie D: that's why Riku is going to get sick after. Cause he's a big Meanie to his best friend.

Yeah that idea sounds solid though. They'd both probably feel really guilty and just want to put everything out in the open about what's going on. Riku well probably be apologizing profusely cause he'd feel terrible but i don't think he'd really realize that the reason why he couldn't feel that way towards her was because of Sora. He'd still be pretty oblivious to those emotions.

that sounds good. the more threads the better, i'd say. x3 i really would be better to really show off their relationship during each phase, though. their closeness before it all (which we're getting with the current thread), their cuteness when they first get together, the guilt and strain of him running after sora after kissing her, the confusion and distancing while he's figuring out how he feels, the awkwardness and avoidance after their break up, and then (finally) the closeness of their relationship conquering all.

yeah, poor addie. but after all of the drama, she really will be happy for him. and she'd let him know that. and she might even realize how he must feel about sora even before he figures it out. just because she knows what it's like to love someone, maybe she recognize that look in his eyes when he's with sora or something. she probably wouldn't say anything except for a little hint now and then maybe.

Yeah that's how i feel. I want to do a few threads for each stage just so that the growth and change is apparent. I don't want it to seem rushed or thrown together.

They could definitely have a class or two together, but I think, for the most part, Addie would be in more advanced CJ classes. But Addie could always help her out with her CJ classes if she ever needed it?
