Sora Hiroaki; [atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2][atrb=style, background: url(http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/RynxEnvy/Decorated%20images/beautyful-beach-wallpaper.jpg); width: 450px, bTable][atrb=style,-moz-border-radius: 15px; border-radius: 15px;,true] | [atrb=style, background: #b2c7d6; padding: 8px;-webkit-border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; opacity: 0.6] Sora let out an agitated huff, re-adjusting the strap of his messenger bag on his shoulder as he shuffled his way towards Hopkins Library—he was currently failing not doing as well as he could have been in his Psychology class and had already received a warning from his Soccer Captain that if his grade didn’t improve then he’d have to be taken off the team until he got his grades back up. This spiky haired first year could not deal with being away from his favorite sport for long periods of time and therefore had decided to seek out the help of a tutor. He felt a little embarrassed, having someone else know that he wasn’t doing so hot in one of his classes…and having to ask for help. But it was necessary if he wanted to stay on the team and keep his scholarship—without his soccer scholarship he wouldn’t be able to continue his education at Kingdom University and would probably have to go to some less expensive school back on the islands. While he loved Destiny Islands, and definitely wouldn’t have minded being closer to his mother, Sora had taken a liking to Radiant Gardens and KU and wasn’t exactly thrilled with entertaining the thought of having to leave.
The brunet Islander pushed past the large oak doors of the library and made a beeline for the stairwell at the far side of the room, noticing that not very many people were present in the library today—but then again it was the beginning of the year and you had to be an idiot unlucky to already be off to a bad start in class. Marching up the stairs, Sora found an empty table close to the wall on the far side of the room, his bag sliding off of his shoulder and falling to the floor beside the table. He pulled out a chair and slumped into it, drumming his fingers against the table’s surface—he had a short attention span and despite the fact that he’d just arrived, he was already bored.
His bright eyes glanced over to the staircase in which he’d just ascended, he and his ‘tutor’ had exchanged a few emails to establish their meeting place, but it probably would’ve helped if Sora knew what his tutor looked like—it could be anyone! | [atrb=style, width: 100px; vertical-align: top;] | [atrb=style, background: #b2c7d6; padding: 8px;-webkit-border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; opacity: 0.6]Tagged: Riku Wordcount: 392 Notes: :3 Credit: JADE of FD & KU |

Riku was…well he was amused in all truth. He was good in all his subjects but excelled in a few, the only one he ever really had a problem with was math but then he had a tutor for that. Psychology had been one of his ‘okay’ subjects in his first year in Kingdom Uni so he was a little surprised a kid had emailed him about tutoring. Riku had honestly forgot that he’d signed up to be a tutor, generally the kids in KU were pretty smart…Not that he was saying the kid he was gonna tutor wasn’t. Everyone had their own problems after all…right?
Riku, with a heavy sigh, snatched up his backpack and fixed the single strap across his chest before heading towards their agreed meeting spot. This was his first time tutoring and not being tutored, he prayed he wouldn’t mess this up seeing as it’d be a first experience thing. He headed towards Hopkins library at a pretty easy pace, saying hello or waving to anyone he recognized. Riku knew plenty of people in KU after all his father had gone here and was someone who generously donated to the school. Although those weren’t the reasons why, his ‘bishounen’ looks were thanks to the fact he was pretty popular within the school’s circles. While he didn’t pay all that much attention to them or even bother with looks it seemed that he was the ‘eye candy’ so to speak.
It was why he’d decided to study in Hopkins Library, not many people realized he went there and he liked it to stay that way. It was his getaway so to speak when he didn’t want to deal with anyone else. It was always there or in one of the arts room where he could paint in peace. Art being one of the classes he excelled in even if he parents weren’t crazy about him being an art major. Psychology on the other hand, there had been some topics that had just confused him so Riku prayed that he’d be able to remember what he’d learned.
He pushed the doors to the library open slightly, easily slipping in-between. He held on to the strap across his chest as he jogged up the stairwell that would lead to the other part of the library where he and the student agreed to meet. He ran a hand through his hair when he reached the top, eyes darting around as he looked for who it was he was supposed to tutor. Then his eyes landed on a slim brunette figure that seemed to be waiting for someone. Riku hesitated for a moment, something oddly familiar about the brunette before pushing it away and walking towards the kid. When he reached the table he sat at Riku gave him a curious look before asking, “You wouldn’t happen to be Sora, would you?” There was a slight lilt to his voice, something he’d always blamed his mother’s genetics for. Right now he was focused on finding his pet project so he could figure out whether he was any good at this tutoring thing.

Sora Hiroaki; [atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2][atrb=style, background: url(http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/RynxEnvy/Decorated%20images/beautyful-beach-wallpaper.jpg); width: 450px, bTable][atrb=style,-moz-border-radius: 15px; border-radius: 15px;,true] | [atrb=style, background: #b2c7d6; padding: 8px;-webkit-border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; opacity: 0.6] Sora let out a sigh. It was such a nice day outside, one that he could’ve been spending playing soccer or maybe even going for a dip in the pool but instead he was in the library. He knew that getting help in Psychology was a lot more important than having his play time outside, he could do that any day of the week, but right now he needed this. But just because he needed it didn’t mean that he had to like it, school work of any kind tended to put Sora in a fog, boring him to death and all around making it difficult for him to pay attention. His mind liked to wander to more exciting things, well, things that got him excited—it really all depended on the person though—for instance, soccer and other physical activities really got him fired up, he could spend hours daydreaming about scoring the willing goal in some international championship game, only to be sorely disappointed when he came to and realized that it had all been in his head.
His bright eyes scanned the area out of boredom, as stated before there were hardly any occupants, beside Sora, in the room—he assumed that they all were out having fun rather than being cooped up in the library studying. Though to be completely honest he shouldn’t have been completely surprised at having the need for a tutor—back in high school he had had to have on in nearly every subject just to stay on the Soccer and Swim team [and to graduate!] so what made college any different? It was a little embarrassing to have to admit to people, especially when you were a guy who’s pride was on the line [luckily Sora’s not a very prideful person, so that doesn't really apply to him!], but it was still hard to admit that he needed help.
”You wouldn’t happen to be Sora, would you?”
The Islander snapped out of LaLa-Land and brought his sapphire gaze up to meet the stare of the boy standing before him, all the while wondering how he hadn’t noticed the arrival of the silverette but figured that his mind had been too far gone to really notice any part of his surroundings. So this was Riku then? He looked a little familiar, but the feeling was very vague and Sora just couldn’t place where he might have possibly known him from.
“Yeah, I’m Sora. And I’m guessing that makes you Riku then? |
” He smiled brightly, a trademark expression of his, “ Great! Now that you’re here let the learning commence!” His voice was light and playful, his cheerful attitude hiding the fact that he wasn't really all that excited to be pouring over a Psychology book--but as long as he was able to understand the concepts after spending a little time with Riku then what did it matter that he spent his afternoon inside? At least he'd better understand the subject.[/div] [atrb=style, width: 100px; vertical-align: top;]

[atrb=style, background: #b2c7d6; padding: 8px;-webkit-border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; opacity: 0.6] Tagged: Riku Wordcount: 460 Notes: :3 Credit: JADE of FD & KU

Riku immediately noticed brilliant blue eyes before he took in the rest of the brunette’s face. He guessed that the younger boy could be considered cute, it was strange for him to even take notice of that. That nagging feeling tugged at the back of Riku’s mind that he’d seen the boy but he brushed it off once again. He was a bit perplexed by that but he would ignore it for the time being. However, that wasn’t his concern at the moment when he spoke. It was the fact the boy seemed like he had been…well daydreaming. That was not a good sign at all. He’d have to figure out how to keep the boy’s attention.
The moment the boy opened his mouth and spoke Riku understood immediately what kind of person Sora was. The ever naïve optimistic person, he was all too familiar with those type of people. This was definitely going to be an interesting tutoring session. Riku couldn’t help the slight smirk that started curling his lips as he slipped off his backpack and slipped into the seat across from Sora. “Well you’re an energetic one.” He leaned back in his seat as he took out a few papers he’d found from last year when he took Psychology. They were papers that guided a person through explanations he’d gotten it from his teacher when he’d begged the Psychology teacher to give him anything that might boost his grade.
He slid the paper’s over to Sora and took out a practice book for Psychology. “Okay so you can keep these papers, they should help you with certain things. Have you tried asking your professor for anything that might help? Preferably beg since that was what they made me do.” The last comment was a slight joke, after all they had made him beg…somewhat. He ran a hand through his hair and looked up at the young man, curious he asked, “Any particular reason you need to be tutored?” Riku wondered if the boy was in a club or team and that was why he asked to be tutored. Then he could understand completely. The tennis team was his life and the thought of being kicked out made his blood run cold.

Sora Hiroaki; [atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2][atrb=style, background: url(http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/RynxEnvy/Decorated%20images/beautyful-beach-wallpaper.jpg); width: 450px, bTable][atrb=style,-moz-border-radius: 15px; border-radius: 15px;,true] | [atrb=style, background: #b2c7d6; padding: 8px;-webkit-border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; opacity: 0.6] Sora's hands twitched a little impatiently and he found himself tapping his feet quietly against the floor. He was known for having a pretty short attention span when it came to anything that wasn't sports related--this happened frequently with school related subjects. No wonder he often had a hard time in his classes, Riku certainly had his work cut out for him, that as for sure.
His cheeks tinged a light shade of pink at the silverette's comment, at least he was nice about his teasing, Sora had often been compared to an ADHD and ADD six year old on a sugar high. Though, of course, he didn't always act like that...he could be mellow sometimes too...but that wasn't something that happened very often.
"Haha, that's not the first time I've heard that. |
" He laughed sheepishly, he hoped that his somewhat childish demeanor didn't scare Riku away, he kinda needed the older boy if he hoped to raise his grade. His fingers curled around the edges of the packet of papers that Riku handed to him, his eyes momentarily straying to the various psychological terms printed on the pages. All this psycho-babble mumbo-jumbo went right over his head, he wouldn't have taken the class in the first place if it weren't for the fact that it was one of those classes you had to take for General Studies. Sky tinted eyes started determinedly at the papers before him--he would learn all of this before his next test, no way would this subject get the best of him! He was brought from his thoughts by his tutor's voice on again and muttered a quick 'thanks' for the papers, while the subject matter may have been a little less than interesting, he decided the the older boy's voice would help to keep his attention. Something about it just drew him in, perhaps it was the cool and collected air that surrounded Riku? The boy all in all gave off a very cool and charismatic vibe and it made Sora wonder if he was a popular guy, he definitely seemed like the type who'd have a million friends and admirers. " Huh?" Sora tilted his head and laughed, then remembering that he was in the library he lowered the volume of his voice, " Yeah, I'm on the soccer team and if I don't raise my grades then they're gonna put me on a probation. I can't not play--not just because I love to play but because I'm here on a soccer scholarship...so my being here kinda rides on the fact that I need to play..." [/div] [atrb=style, width: 100px; vertical-align: top;]

[atrb=style, background: #b2c7d6; padding: 8px;-webkit-border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; opacity: 0.6] Tagged: Riku Wordcount: not sure, I wrote this at school >.> Notes: Sorry it took a while, I was gone half of the weekend =/ Credit: JADE of FD & KU

there's a fire starting in my heart reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.tinypic.com/wb98wn.jpg');,true] ROLLING IN THE DEEP !
Riku listened to Sora explain why he needed a tutor and he felt himself sympathizing with the young man. He certainly understood how that felt, what with him being on the tennis team and everything. Running a hand through his hair Riku considered Sora for a moment before letting a small smile grace his face. “Well I can certainly understand that. I would be the same way if my grades were getting in the way of me playing tennis. I guess we better work extra hard then, huh?” Riku had only played soccer a few times when he was a bit younger, he even tried out for the team during his first year but in the end he ended up going to the tennis team. He was shocked when this year they had made him Co-Captain of the tennis team.
Scratching the back of his head Riku looked over the work before looking back at Sora a little quizzically. “So, uh….What is it exactly that you’re having a problem with in Psychology.” At a moments glance at the work Riku felt his heart drop a bit. While he had reread a lot of work he’d had from his last psychology class. There was quite a bit he hadn’t touched on and therefore he couldn’t completely understand. He just prayed what Sora was going to ask help with was something he’d reread. Or else they’d both have to be learning something today. In the mean time though Riku decided he might as well learn a few more things about the young man he’d be tutoring so he’d ask questions.
“Where’d you grow up? You from here or from someplace else?” Half of the question was out of curiosity while the other half was due to the nagging feeling he’d at least bumped into Sora before. Maybe if Sora grew up in the Islands or near to the school he’d be able to lay the nagging feeling at rest. It would certainly be a relief seeing as he was just a leap away from asking the younger male outright if they’d met before. Then of course they went to the same school so maybe he’d caught a glimpse of him while going to class or something. It was a strange feeling, to think you know someone from someplace else but not yet be certain of it.

Sora Hiroaki; [atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2][atrb=style, background: url(http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/RynxEnvy/Decorated%20images/beautyful-beach-wallpaper.jpg); width: 450px, bTable][atrb=style,-moz-border-radius: 15px; border-radius: 15px;,true] | [atrb=style, background: #b2c7d6; padding: 8px;-webkit-border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; opacity: 0.6] He felt a twinge of relief soar through him, so Riku played a sport too then? Then he could definitely sympathize with Sora if only because they were both athletic guys—maybe not so much with the whole ‘academic’ standing and all since Riku was clearly gifted in that department since he qualified to be a Tutor and all…
Sora laughed, “Thanks Riku, I really appreciate this. |
” His words were sincere, accompanied by a friendly smile and an upbeat personality. The silverette sitting across from him had, pretty much, been the only person willing to help Sora out—the brunet supposed that his reputation as being that ‘ADD knucklehead’ had kept the others from responding to his emails. And while Sora liked to keep a positive outlook on life, always searching for that silver lining in every situation, he couldn’t help but to feel a little hopeless, like maybe he was a lost cause? That is, until Riku had actually responded to his emails, agreeing to help him with his Psychology work—maybe that meant that his ‘reputation’ hadn’t reached the upperclassmen yet? Or perhaps it was just because he didn’t have any classes with the silverette. Either way, he was grateful for the extra help. His fingers absently played with the corner edge of one of the papers that Riku had handed to him, “ Um. Well I haven’t really grasped the concept of the Pia—uh, what was it called again?” The last part was said more to himself than to the boy across from him, Sora bit his lip, trying to remember the name of the Swiss Theorist that they had learned about in the last lecture. “ Oh, right! The class as a whole is kinda giving me trouble—but right now Piaget’s theory and the concept of cognitive development is giving me a lot of issues.” Maybe it was due to his short attention span, or because his professor was a little bonkers, but he just couldn’t grasp the simple concept of cogni—whatever development, or that theory that Piaget had suggested. Thank God he wasn’t majoring in this stuff! The islander was a little surprised by Riku’s next question. It had nothing to do with what they were currently attempting to studying, but even he too had to admit that he was a little curious. Curious about why the silverette seemed so familiar to him…so maybe answering his question could lead him to the answer to his own question. “ Oh, I’m not from around here, no.” For some reason Sora couldn’t quite imagine himself growing up in such a ritzy town such as Radiant Garden. Sure, he and his mother hadn’t been poor by any means, but they definitely wouldn’t have fit in in this town, that was for sure. “ I’m from Destiny Islands, lived there all my life. And you?”[/div] [atrb=style, width: 100px; vertical-align: top;]

[atrb=style, background: #b2c7d6; padding: 8px;-webkit-border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; opacity: 0.6] Tagged: Riku Wordcount: 475 Notes: Sorry it took me a while too x.x Credit: JADE of FD & KU
