Look at me now i made it Feel my heart now i made it Reaching things now i never thought possible
Ichijo was sitting there listening to his father yell, he had gotten into some trouble at school, well more of his grades were slipping just a bit. And he had gotten into a bit of a fight with one of the other kids, his mother seemed to be trying to calm him down but it didnt' seem to be working. He heard his father slam his fist into the counter and the boy raced into the room. "Leave her alone...it's me you are mad at...please..." He was ushering his mother out of the room, as much as she told him to stop.
He shut the door behind him,and locked it just as his father dragged him away from the door. His father was a nice man when he wasnt' drunk, or doing something else. So right now his father was drunk and mad. Anyone else in the house would only hear kicking, and screaming. Like they were screaming then something smashing against a counter or a table. And what sounded like water being splashed on the floor.
Ichijo raced out of the room, with one last sentence. "You know I liked you a lot better when you actually acted like our father..." And with that the boy was gone, he had grabbed his phone, his school bag leaving his jacket, scarf and other things behind. He had his sandals since he didn't want to run upstairs to grab his normal shoes.
His mother could do nothing more then watch him go, she was too sick to follow him. His father had raced out of the house just to calm down, the boys were both alike. She had called Satoshi's mother after a few hours of Ichijo not coming back. It was getting dark and he was nowhere, usually he would have been back by now. She just thought he was going to cool down but he hadn't come back. She made sure to call Lily's mom as well to ask her to see if she had seen him.
Though the boy was at the park, he had raced off to the park and was sitting on the grass staring at the ground, or well water based on where he was sitting. His cheek hurt and there was dried blood on it, but he hadn't bothered to clean it off. It was just another cut to him. And he didn't really want to go home now, he would just sit here and wait till morning. Maybe even sleep here, but he sneezed and tried to pull his jacket over him only to realize in his rage he had forgotten it. "Oh well not going back...." He just sat there silent, there was nothing to say.
He had his phone next to him, but he dialed Satoshi's number and hung up as soon as the phone was picked up. He didnt' want to do that, so he would just stay there. As cold as it was going to probably get out here. "Why....what happened to him..." He sighed and put his backpack underneath his head staring up at the sky. don't look back I am beside you Close your eyes know I'm here I know it's hard to let go all that defines you You feel like you'll never be whole again

Satoshi had been washing the dishes when the phone rang. He'd stopped to pick it up only to find Ichijo's mother on the other end, asking for his mum. He had, of course, given the phone to his mother. Instead of going right back to the dishes, he stood next to his mum and waited for her to finish talking so that he could put the phone back on the hook. He couldn't help but listen in on the part of the conversation he could hear. He could get too much from it though. He could tell it was about Ichijo, though, and that something wasn't right. Before his mother hung up and handed the phone back to him, she said "I'll keep an eye out for him." He thought about that as he put the phone on the hook and went back to cleaning. Just as he was finishing up, the phone rang again. This time, though, when he picked it up the person on the other end hung up on him. He stared at the receiver for a second before looking at the Caller ID Display. He knew the number was familiar but, at first, he didn't realize why. "Who was it, sweetheart?" "I dunno, they hung up when I answered it."It wasn't until he reached the top of the steps, heading to his room, that the number clicked. Ichijo. He nearly tripped over his own two feet as he turned and headed back down the stairs. That would have been a painful fall. Grabbing the phone, he racked his brain for Lily's number but he just couldn't figure out what it was. So, he put the phone back in the hook and headed for the door. As quietly as he could manage, he pulled on his shoes and his jacket before slipping outside. Once he was out of the house, he ran to the end of the drive way, stopping when he realized he didn't know where to go. All he knew was that Ichijo wasn't at home. And it had seemed like his mother didn't know where he was. 'Did something happen? I hope Ichi-san's alright!'He was pretty worried, so he knew he wasn't going back inside. Instead, he headed to one of the places he and his friends went to the most. The park. Maybe he'd get luck and find his older friend there. But things like this were easier said than done, especially when you had to walk by a fence. A fence with a dog behind it. A big dog at that. Sure, he walked past that fence every day, but he always had someone with him. And it was always light out. Currently, the only things that lit up the sidewalk was the moon and a few scattered lamps. The darkness that creeped around him made things worse, not helped at all by the snarls and growls and barks he could here just beyond the gate as he moved past it. He was terrified of the dog but he managed to get past the yard. After that obstacle, he began to run again, making his way to the park. Even once he got there, his job wasn't easy. He was starting to feel a bit chilly and by the time he spotted Ichijo his nose, ears, and cheeks were pretty pink from the cold night air. All the same, a grin spread across his face and he made a dash for the older boy, latching his little arms around him as he fell to his knees by the thirteen year old's side. The smile faded away, though. Satoshi immediately began talking, arms holding on to Ichijo as tight as he could manage (what with the cold and the tears that he just could stop) "I'm glad you're alright, Ichi-san! I heard my mum talkin' to your mum and they were talkin' about you so I didn't know if you were okay or not! And then someone called and hung up and I thought it was your number so I had to come look for you. It was you right? I'm really glad I found you Ichi-san!"- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES; Long post is long. Yay? SATOSHI'S COLORS; speech. thoughts. SATOSHI'S VOICE; here~. Sitting in her room, Lily lied on her bed, staring at the ceiling. Her feet were hanging off the edge of it, since she had her shoes on and her mom would get super angry if her shoes were on her bed. The ten year old wasn't in the mood for getting lectured or scolded, so she figured if she wasn't doing it, she couldn't get in trouble. Naturally, the girl could have taken her shoes off instead, but she didn't feel like it at the moment. Whether it be out of laziness or some other feeling she couldn't identify, she didn't spend too much time thinking about it. There was nothing to do; all her homework was done, she didn't have any kind of video games or electronics in her room, and Ichijo nor Satoshi seemed to be available. Of course, she hasn't exactly called them or anything, but it was just one of those days where she didn't really want to. If they called her first, then she'd probably agree, but they hadn't, so that wasn't an option.
Soon after these thoughts occurred, the phone them rang. Bolting out of her room, eager to do something, Lily raced down the stairs and towards the kitchen, where the main phone was. Her mom however, beat her to it. She was already talking before Lily had even gotten into the room, causing the blonde to pout a bit. The expression made the little girl's mind reel back to rotting souls. But before she could actually dwell on it, her mother spoke, addressing her.
"Sweetie, have you seem Ichijo today? He's been gone for a few hours and his mom's worried." At this, Lily's eyes widened. Ichijo was missing?!
"I haven't, Mom, but I'm going to go look for him right now!" As she uttered the words, she dashed towards the door. It was a good thing she already had her shoes on, so she could waste no more time getting out the door. Sprinting out onto the road-which was usually deserted mind you-, Lily thought of where to look first. "If I were Ichijo... where would I run off to!?" she thought. A few hours... seemed like a very long time. He could be possibly anywhere by now! Her mind was beginning to panic, and she finally decided to act now, think later. Running off in the first direction she thought of (her right), she ran until she found she'd ended up in the Town Square. Could Ichijo be here?
"Ichijo! Ichijo! Ichijo!!" she called. Lily wasn't paying atention to the stares she got, she didn't care. All that mattered was finding the thirteen year old boy. Running in and out of shops shouting Ichijo's name, she only paused to ask the employees if they'd seen him. The answers she received were unanimous: No. Moving on, she left the Town Square with the destination Just Desserts in mind. Maybe Ichijo was there. Bursting through the doors, and frantically looked around, at all of the customers and everyone at tables and in line. No Ichijo. Rushing to the counter and bypassing the whole line- which caused quite a few shouts from the people waiting- she got right to the point. Leaning over the counter, she asked,
"Have you seen a thirteen year old boy with dark hair?" All she got was the shake of a head. Groaning, she could feel the tears starting to come. Holding them back the best she could, since she still had her soul rotting belief in mind, she rushed out of the store and back outside. Where was the next place to look? Racking her brain, she just couldn't think of it with all her thoughts ajar. "Of all times, why can't I remember now?!" she thought. Then, it hit her. The park! Picking up speed, she practically sprinted towards her, Satoshi, and Ichijo's usual play area. Arriving in just a few minutes, she strained her eyes. It had gotten dark outside, and she started to panic. What if she wouldn't be able to see Ichijo?! However, her fears were unnecessary, as she did spot him. Running full speed in his direction, she was only slightly aware that Satoshi was already there. The tears she'd been holding back were flowing freely now, as she threw her arms are the older boy and consequently Satoshi as well. She could have gladly voiced out all her worries and concerns, but all she could manage to say was his name over and over and over again. She was glad she found him.

Look at me now i made it Feel my heart now i made it Reaching things now i never thought possible
Ichijo didn't think anyone would follow him, he had been here alone. Nor would he have to think of what people would say of him. He had just wanted to get away from his father, not that he knew his mother had called the people. He probably should have tried to call Lily too, but he didn't want to. He wanted to get away from all of this, Maybe if it could just end all in once. He wouldn't have to deal with it again, and he would feel better. Yes of course he wanted Satoshi to follow him, but he was not sure if it was a good idea anymore.
It was cold out here and he didn't bring his jacket or anything. That and his friend has been sniffling earlier. So he knew his friend was still sick, and he didn't like the idea of him being out here. He felt the boy latch onto him, and patted him ever so slightly. Maybe he was not sure about it, he was happy he was here but his body was not happy with him for being out here in the cold.
It was just not a good idea for him or Satoshi, the fact that he was sick still really didn't help. Or the fact that he had made him cry and worried him it seemed. Ichijo sighed and tried to just not react much less show what was going through his mind. He didn't want anyone to know what had happened. Though the wound was still on his cheek. "That was me...Satoshi I'm sorry..." He didn't want to to worry him but he was so annoyed. So mad even he did not wish to go back to that place again. Never, even if his mother was worried about him. "Satoshi you should have stayed inside...it's too cold out here..." He tried to warm the boy up even though he was freezing cause of his lack of jackets and what not. It was just that way wasn't it.
He could feel Lily show up to, she seemed to latch onto him as well, it seemed that girls did that a lot. He was not that worried about it though he wanted to know what he was supposed to do from here. "Why are you two out here...I'm fine...." He was thankful they were here, but it was not something he wanted to bring up. He sighed and tried to focus though he was not sure what might happen next. "I'm really fine you two...really..." He was trying not to shake cause it was cold out here. don't look back I am beside you Close your eyes know I'm here I know it's hard to let go all that defines you You feel like you'll never be whole again

Satoshi had been so relieved to find Ichijo that he hadn't noticed much. He hadn't realized that Ichijo wasn't wearing a jacket. He hadn't seen whatever look had been upon his face. He hadn't felt the sticky wetness upon the older boys cheek, blood from the wound given to him by his father. He'd missed so much in those first moments with his friend. And even now, with blood on his own cheek, he didn't realize any of it. It was his friends concern for him that brought him back to reality. Just a little. Enough to realize that the thirteen year old wasn't wearing a jacket. He had a lot of room to talk about it being too cold for the younger boy, didn't he? When he himself had no protection from the cold October night air. He found it hard to voice any kind of opinion on the matter though, a little to busy crying. It didn't help that he was now shivering a little bit, and he couldn't help but sniffle every so often. Finally, he managed to mumble out, "But you're cold too!" He was about to pull away a little, to look at his friend, when he felt arms (or rather, an arm) wrap around his neck. It took him by surprise because it wasn't Ichijo and he hadn't heard anyone else approach. It didn't take long to realize who it was though. He'd recognize that voice anywhere. Lily was mumbling Ichijo's name over and over again, hold onto him tightly. She probably didn't even realize he was there, not yet anyway. She'd been too worried about Ichijo, just like he had been. Seeing as how he couldn't really move at the moment, Satoshi decided to just snuggle into Ichijo a bit. Not only did he feel the chill from the air, but he knew that Ichijo felt it too. He was trying to warm his friend up, even if only a little bit. He was sure that Lily, once she realized their friend was jacket-less, would do the same. And that was good because they could both help to keep Ichijo warm. Maybe. If Lily didn't go psycho on him or something. She did that sometimes. Though, he had no idea why. "We were worried! Of course we came," the younger blonde said. It was obvious that he was still crying, though he was a bit more receptive to what was going on around him. For instance, the sticky-ness of Ichijo's wound. While he didn't know the other boy was injured, he could feel the blood. Of course, he also didn't know it was blood. And he couldn't look to see what it was because Lily was sort of holding him in place. "Your face is all sticky, Ichi-san..." he muttered, trailing off and sniffling some. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES; Shame, Ichijo! After being worried sick and running everywhere to find him, Lily was overflowing with joy that Ichijo was actually here and that she'd found him. In the back of her mind, she was getting some outrageous ideas of Ichijo's disappearance. She was thinking he was kidnapped, stuffed in the back of a car, then shippe doff to some other country on a smelly old sailing boat! If that happened, she panicked about what would happen. The ten year old's scenarios got worse and worse. They were so bad, that Lily didn't even want to recall them. Not now, when Ichijo was here in the flesh.
Her tears hadn't fully stopped, but she could tell she was gaining composure. Sniffling, she unconsciously thought of Satoshi. He always seemed to have some sort of cold, and she was just like him now. Hiccuping, Lily could only hold Ichijo tighter, fearing if she let go he would slip away. Her tightened grip mildly surprised her. Lifting her face up, she saw her arm was around not only Ichijo but Satoshi too. Her state of mind hadn't been too clear earlier, but now that she thought, she did feel something other than the thirteen year old when she hugged glomped Ichijo.
"Sa-Satoshi...?" she asked, her voice betraying her emotions; cracked, with evident crying and sadness. There wasn't any real question, and honestly, the main thing on her mind was that Ichijo was safe and he was right here, but saying and letting Satoshi know she knew he was there seemed appropriate. The girl wouldn't have minded just sitting there with those two, but when Ichijo spoke, she couldn't help but pull away a bit. Now sitting up on her knees in front of her two best friends, she spoke. Her voice came out a bit muffled, due to her not-so-gone-yet tears and sobs.
"What am I doing here?! You went missing Ichijo! I was worried something bad had happened and you got kidnapped or something... All sorts of things could have happened and I didn't want to think of all the possibilities! I rushed out of my house and ran everywhere just to find you, so I don't want to hear 'why are you here' because it should be obvious! On top of our friendship I love you Ichijo, you're supposed to grow up and be my husband and I wouldn't be able to handle losing you!" pausing to sniffle and wipe her eyes, Lily looked over at Satoshi briefly. "And I'm sure Satoshi wouldn't be able to either..." she added, a bit softer than the rest of her rant. Falling down and putting her arms around both Ichijo and Satoshi, she held them as tight as she could. Losing anyone, not just Ichijo, close to her would be horrible. Overwhelmed and still not completely aware of everything, she didn't want to ever let go.
[OOC: Melodramatic much? Wow I can't believe how overly emotional Lily turned out to be... Sorry for waiting...what, three weeks for this?]

He hadn't wanted to make them cry it had just happened, he had gotten into a fight with that man that was in his life. He wanted to tell his father how he felt but he didn't see it working, of course the same time it never did work and he was always stuck putting up with things. Ichijo really didn't know what he was supposed to say, his friends were here, and they seemed to care about him. He wouldn't hold things against them, he knew he had to be a good person. Making them stop crying was what he was supposed to do now. 'They found me...my friends...Satoshi...Lily..." He didn't mean to worry them, but the water flowed from his eyes again. It was probably a mix of sadness, and fear of what his friends would say. He was a strong child, who sometimes put up with way to much, though he had never been one to complain.
If his father wanted to talk to him, then he would have to actually try, though the child had the feeling that he never would. So he would probably just give up on that. And not say a word about anything, he would just be nice because of his mother. That was usually the only reason he dealt with his father, sometimes it became way too much. Not that he would bring it up, his father had to get off of his behind and say it himself, it would be easier if he did. "I'm fine Satoshi...I'm not that cold..." He might have been ignoring it, but he was getting cold, only cause he had been out here for so long.
"it's nothing just don't touch it okay..." he didn't want them to worry about him, not now or ever but it happened and that was just the way it was. There was truly not way to get away from it, things had to go on and if he didn't do something about it he might have made a mistake. "No need to cry you two I'm fine..." He smiled and patted them, just holding onto them the best he could, they should probably go home soon though. don't look back I am beside you Close your eyes know I'm here I know it's hard to let go all that defines you You feel like you'll never be whole again

Satoshi couldn't help but find their current situation a little bit uncomfortable. It was true he enjoyed all of the physical contact with his two friends. He loved hugs and things like that. He loved his friends. Anything that combined both were even better. But still, he couldn't really move. And just when he thought he was free, Lily tightened her hold. Of course, he didn't mind enough to say anything about it. He understood that Lily wanted to just hold them close. Hold Ichijo close. Because she loved Ichijo and she'd though she'd lost him. Just like Satoshi had before leaving home and stumbling upon the park. He'd been so relieved to see his friend that he'd collapsed next to him, locked him in a hug, and started crying his eyes out. All at the same time. But his tears had stopped falling now. Ichijo was here and he was safe. That was what really mattered. Lily didn't seem to feel quite the same way though. She was still crying and she started rambling about all the things that could have happened to Ichijo. She mentioned, like she so often did, that Ichijo was supposed to grow up and marry her. And she told him that she wouldn't be able to handle losing him. Satoshi had to agree with that last one. He really wouldn't be able to handle losing Ichijo. The little blonde eight year old didn't completely believe the dark headed middle schooler. It was cold outside. Even with a jacket on, Satoshi could feel the chill. Granted, Satoshi was more sensitive to the cold than the other too. But still, it was cold and he knew it. He just wasn't going to say anything. He did decide to listen when Ichijo told him to not touch it. The stickiness on the older boys cheek that is. Not that he could really help it, seeing as Lily was squeezing them all together. It wasn't his fault that their cheeks were squished together. "Ichi-san, is it jelly? 'Cause it's sticky and it smells familiar. But I dunno what it smells like." His own voice was a bit muffled, by both his earlier tears and his face being all squished the was it was. It would've sounded quite funny in a lighter situation. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES; Sorry for the wait. Again. SATOSHI'S COLORS; speech. thoughts.
