Brief Overview:

small and sickly, that's satoshi in a nutshell. he stands at 112 centimeter, his 23 kilograms made up of childish fat and little else.

he has wavy blond hair that falls past his chin, curling under at the tips and cupping around his face. his bangs sometimes fall into his eyes but, as much as it gets on his nerves, he never tries to do anything about it. he runs a brush through it now and then but other than that, he lets it do whatever it wants, seeing no reason to bother doing anything fancy. he has red eyes that shine when he's happy or excited and, likewise, seem to dim when he's frightened or sad.

his skin is fair and clear, a little pale because he doesn't get as much sun as he should, and very soft. his cheeks are a bit chubby because he still retains some of his baby fat, but he has a very small and fragile sort of build. he's also not very strong, but he is quick and agile. he's left-handed, though he's trying to learn to write with his right hand as well.

there's a fang-shaped birthmark on his right temple, usually hidden beneath his hair, and he has quite a few tiny scars here and there. it's quite common to see him with scratches on his face and scrapes on his knees, as he tends to fall a lot. there's also larger scars on his left leg, from his ankle to about mid-calf, caused by a sever dog bite when he was five. each gash from the dogs teeth, four gashes in all, needed three stitches. so he ended up with a total of twelve stitches and a crippling fear of dogs.

he's nearly always wearing a loose jacket, even during the summer, accompanied by brown boots and a red scarf. the only time he takes the jacket off it when it's extremely hot outside and even then he still wears the scarf. beneath that heavy clothing, though, he tends to wear loose pants and tee-shirts.

even when wearing kingdom academy's elementary uniform, he keeps on the scarf and, if he gets chilly at all, pulls his jacket on over it. the uniform itself consists of dark brown trousers, a white button-up, a blue tie, and a blue jacket and/or vest with dark brown shoes, which he replaces with his own boots.

he has a chain necklace with his house key on it that he never takes off and an ever-present orange colored hood on his head that makes him look as if he has furry dog-like ears. sometimes he'll also carry around a messenger bag with various things inside, including his school supplies.

Likes:

ღ touya. he adores his older brother and loves to just follow him around. he looks up to touya and wants to be strong and brave like him.
ღ his friends. his friends are some of the most important people in the world to him. he'd stand up for them no matter who it pitted him against.
ღ ichijo. his best friend by far and, though he's a bit naive on the matter, a little something more. he'd face anything for ichijo, even a dog if he had too.
ღ cats. his preferred animal. he's not too fond of hairless cats and he likes really furry cats the most, but he does like cats in general. even the big ones.
ღ tater-tots. the best way to get some starch in him would be through tater-tots. fries work too but not nearly as well, and you can forget him eating regular potatoes.
ღ swimming. he doesn't get to swim very often, but he enjoys it a lot when he can. he's a really good swimmer, he just isn't supposed to swim unless the pool is heated.
ღ sweets. he has a pretty serious sweet tooth. he loves all kinds of candies and cakes, though his favorite sweet by far would have to be mint-chocolate.
ღ strawberries. his love for strawberries sort of goes hand-in-hand with his love for sweets, especially since he likes his strawberries dipped in mint-chocolate.
ღ music. he mostly listens to rock and country music, hardly bothering with anything else, but he pretty much enjoys anything music-related.
ღ drawing. he's not particularly gifted at art but it's something he really enjoys. he likes to doodle and draw when he gets bored in class.
ღ plushies. it's no secret that he loves soft and cuddly things and plushies fall in with that. he has a lot of stuffed animals in his room, all over the floor and bed.
ღ playing games. he loves playing games of any kind, be them board games or card games or video games. in the video game world, he likes anime-based games.

Dislikes:

✗ bad guys. he really doesn't like mean people at all, especially the ones that pick on other people just because they're bigger or have more stuff.
✗ homework. he usually manages to get it done easily enough but he always gets really sleepy when he's working on it and he doesn't like that at all.
✗ vegetables. he tries his very best to get out of eating most vegetables, though he will eat some of them without a word. he just doesn't like the taste or texture.
✗ dogs. he was bitten by a dog ones and now he harbors a very strong dislike for them. it doesn't matter how big or small they happen to be.
✗ sour things. he just doesn't like the taste. he loves sweet things too much and anything sour seems to leave his mouth feeling really dry and yucky.
✗ reading. it always makes him really sleepy when he has to read something, especially if it isn't something he finds interesting at all.
✗ being bored. he gets bored rather easily and he doesn't like feeling like there's nothing to do. he likes having something to do all the time.
✗ being picked on. bullies are just jealous and he really hates that they feel the need to pick on him. just because he gets sick so easily too!
✗ hot dogs. he really doesn't like the taste, ever. especially if they're not all beef hot dogs, then he can't even make himself eat a whole one.
✗ bugs and spiders. any creepy-crawlies kind of freak him out and bugs and spiders are definitely at the top of that list of critters.
✗ rain and thunder. he gets startled very easily so the loudness of the thunder freaks him out. and he doesn't like rain because it always makes him sick.
✗ scary movies. generally not something to watch if you get scared easily, like he does, so he tries really hard to avoid them. though he will watch them with touya and ichijo.
✗ people picking on his friends. he already doesn't like bullies and anyone that picks on his friends he sees as even lower than the people that pick on him.

Strengths:

❅ math and science. he has a knack for the two subjects and he actually really enjoys them.
❅ sweet and friendly. he puts others first and he's not afraid to go out and talk to new people and make friends.
❅ agile and sneaky. he's fast and quiet, able to sneak around very well without getting caught. most of the time.
❅ honest. he's not a very good liar at all so he usually doesn't even try. he usually get's found out right away.
❅ trustworthy. he can keep secrets very easily, despite being so honest, and he'd never tell anyone if he didn't think it was very important.
❅ thoughtful. he'll buy someone else something before himself every time. he'd give up his things for someone else too.

Weaknesses:

ϟ physically weak. he's not very strong. he can't lift much and though he can run fairly well, it wears him out quickly.
ϟ history and french. he doesn't really catch on to the history very well and, though he likes french a lot, he just can't quite grasp it.
ϟ a little childish. he is still a child and that shows in how he acts sometimes, especially when it comes to ichijo and touya.
ϟ easily manipulated. he's a little too trusting for his own good and that leaves him open to other people using him.
ϟ easily scared. he's a scared-y-cat. there's no other way to say it. he get scared very easily and he's scared of a lot of things.
ϟ gets sick easily. cool water and the slightest of chills usually end up leaving him with a cold. so he usually wears a scarf and/or jacket.

Overview:

❦ sports and games. among his main hobbies, sports and games are the highest on his list. he loves playing games of all kinds and he's always been really interested in sports. of course, being a sickly as he is, he can't usually partake in the sports. not as often as he'd like to.
❦ being artistic in some way. he loves anything artistic. he loves being artistic. drawing, coloring, writing. even though he's not particularly good and drawing and writing he still does it because he finds it fun. and what kid doesn't like to color now and then? he sure does. and he's pretty good at that.
❦ being with certain people. touya, ichijo, and his other friends. he doesn't have very many people that he really loves being around but the few he does have are enough for him. he wouldn't trade his few close friends or his brother for anything in the world, not even hundreds of regular friends.

though he's scared of a lot of things and people can easily startle him themselves, there are some things that frighten him more than others. there are some things that can only be classified as phobias. each one elicits an extreme reaction from satoshi, a reaction much stronger than his usual fearful reaction. he gets to where he can't breath, he starts shaking and crying. and it's all uncontrollable and he finds it really hard to calm himself down, usually taking refuge with his brother or one of his close friends, whoever's available at the time.
☣ arachnophobia. the fear of spiders. he gets to where he can't even move, let alone stomp on it. even though they're just tiny little critters, he just can't keep himself from hyperventilating when he comes across one of the small arachnids.
☣ cynophobia. the fear of dogs. it all started when he was attacked by a large dog, though he'd never really liked them to begin with. now he completely freezes up when he sees one, or even just hears one. he even finds it hard walk past a gate when he knows there's a dog behind it.
☣ tonitrophobia. the fear of thunder. or loud noises. he's very easily startled but thunder's just over the top. he has to hide away somewhere with his ears covered whenever it starts thundering. even when it's not all that loud.

♥ honest. he finds it extremely hard to tell a lie that's even close to being convincing. he usually gets found out immediately, though there are occasions when the lie lasts for a little while. but since it usually ends up not working, he tends to just not even try with the lies.
♥ trustworthy. he can definitely keep a secret though. and he always keeps his promises if he can help it. he would never tell anyone's secret to anyone else and he himself keeps his own secrets hidden in his heart. and if he can't keep a promise, he gets pretty depressed.
♥ friendly. he always tries to make friends with the people around him, right down to the bullies that pick on him. he goes up to pretty much anyone and he rarely ignores anyone. always returning hellos and the like with greetings of his own and a friendly smile.
♥ thoughtful. there's never a moment when he doesn't put someone else before himself. he'll buy stuff for them first, let them eat first, give them anything they needed before he'd worry about himself at all.
✗ naive. he's young. being young, he doesn't really understand a lot of things. he tries to learn more about anything he doesn't quite get but sometimes that just doesn't work. gaining actual experience is the only way to learn some things.
✗ childish. he's still a child and that fact shows sometimes. he can normally keep his childishness in check but sometimes he just can help but whine about things. the childishness tends to come out more when he's with his brother, touya, or his best friend, ichijo.
✗ dependant. he relies a lot on other people, namely touya and ichijo. they're usually the ones he runs too when he needs someone to hold him and tell him things will be okay. they're the ones that help keep his fears away.
✗ scardy-cat. as mentioned, he has a lot of things that he's scared of. loud noises, scary movies, dogs and bugs and spiders. there really isn't all that much that he's not scared of, at least on occasion.

he's also pretty laid-back and he's very sensitive and affectionate. though he's sometimes a little too friendly and sweet for his own good, he is getting better about it. someday it may come back to bite him but, hopefully, he doesn't run into any of those perverts who would take advantage of him at all.

Overview:

satoshi takeo konoe was born in radiant gardens and lives in crescentwood with his mother, father, and older brother. he was born very sickly and small, and that hasn't changed much as he's grown. he spent his earliest years limited to the house with an occasional trip to the backyard.

when he was five years old, he was at the park with a boy he'd met in kendergarden. their mothers were sitting on a nearby bench, talking, while he and his friend played on the jungle gym. they were having fun taking turns on the slides. that is, until someones dog got loose and came at them.

it just so happened that satoshi was the one who slid to the bottom of the slide when it happened. he was running back around to climb up the latter when the bog bit into his left leg. he, of course, screamed. the dog's owner was there pretty quick like, squeezing the dogs jaw until it let go. his mother came running as well.

at the hospital, he had his leg stitched up. three stitches per gash and the dog had left four of them. to this day, you can see the scars that were left behind and he's terrified of dogs now as well.

when he was seven, he and his best friend met a girl who, after a short time, became their other best friend. the three of them played together all the time, sometimes at the park and sometimes at one of their houses. they'd even wonder the streets of crescentwood and, sometimes, the rest of the town.

whenever he get's the chance, he follows his brother around. he's even followed the older boy to school before. sometimes he manages to not get caught but other times, well, his brother spots him. even when he does get caught, he usually ends up tagging along with his brother anyway.

not long after he turned eight, he was nearly attacked by another dog. he was walking home from the park when he heard it growling at him and he froze up. he was lucky this time around though, because a junior high student happened to be close by. the guy moved in front of him and let the dog chomp down on his arm when it broke free and lunged.

it was the same dog as the last time. the owner got the dog off the guy (the dog was later put down for it's behavior) and apologized to the both of them. despite his arm bleeding, the guy helped satoshi back to his feet and made sure he was okay (he had stumbled back when the dog had lunged).

so began the friendship between the two of them. satoshi looked up to the teenager as his hero and he grew a strong fondness for him. much like he followed his brother around, anytime he got the opportunity he'd follow the junior high boy around. this eventually led to his two friends meeting the older boy as well.

the four of them often hang out together (and satoshi's brother is often with them as well, keeping an eye on satoshi) now, despite the age difference between the three kids and their teenage friend.
