Brief Overview:

Sumiko stands at the height of five feet and six inches. She is quite short for her age but she doesn't really care. She is also a light weight of one hundred and one pounds. Despite her light weight, it allows her to move quickly which is perfect for her.


She and her brother wear clothing that are relatively the same except one thing. She wears a black jacket with black and white stripes going down the middle of it and on the stitching of the sleeves. She usually wears a teal colored shirt with the skull under the collar. Now the one thing that differs from them is she wears a skirt instead of pants. She has been seen wearing pants instead, but she much prefers a skirt. It's rather short but her black stocking cover her revealing legs. She wears black shoes with them.

When she wants to be more casual, she'll throw on a dark gray t-shirt and black skinny jeans with converse. She also has to wear glasses but she dislikes wearing them because she thinks she looks geeky. She also likes fedoras because they look quite stylish on her, or at least she thinks so. No one has said that it looks bad or not....yet.

Dislikes:

♣ People who pick on Shouta - as much as Shouta hates being protected by a girl, she would protect her brother til the end and give them a piece of her mind.

Overview:

Sumiko is someone that can be hard to understand. She gets obsessed over things that make no sense and sometimes makes people wonder. Now she likes fedoras right? That's fine. There is nothing wrong with that. Now here is the issue, she has over thirty different kinds of them and actually wears every single one. She sees one she likes, she'll find a way to buy it. Even if it meant begging like mad which worked half of the time. She is also extremely obsessed over JRock and JPop. She will listen to some other genres of music but they are her two top favorite and her library is filled with it. I think the only band that isn't Japanese is called...see I can't even remember it.

She also loves candy and prefers lollipops above everything. I still haven't seen why she loves them so much. I mean I like them every now and then but you'll always see one in her mouth of she can help it. She also loves manga. Now hey, I like manga too and I'll read mine a few times over just because I like them. She reads them a few too many times..anyways! She is also into sewing, she started this when she was eight and was actually pretty good at it. She's even made some clothing for her brother Shouta which he is forced to wear by their parents so he doesn't make her feel bad. I wonder if she did it on purpose because the clothes were funny looking.

Despite all the obsessions and things she likes, there are a few things that she fears and despises the end of the world. The biggest thing she hates is people who pick on her brother, Shouta. Despite her appearance, she is quite capable of holding her own ground. She doesn't like to fight but someone messing around with Shouta is just asking for it. She is also terrified of thunder, if she even hears it she'll cover her face and begin to shake. Thunder has been one of the few things she could never get used to.

She is also scared to death of spiders. If she even glances and sees one, her eyes will widen in fright and start slamming her foot and turn it into basically nothing when she finally calms down. She is very claustrophobic. Even an elevator with no one else in it would probably make her hyperventilate. Eventually she'd be seen in feedle position. And is also the reason why she will only take stairs if she can help it. And one of the biggest fears is making Shouta mad. When she makes him mad he fears that he'll be mad for a long time and hide for a couple of days without food and water.

Overview:

Before I get into talking about the history thus far into Sumiko's life, let us talk about the parents. No one seems to talk about them that much and just skips onto the kid's life. Am I right?

Before they lived in Traverse Town, Sumiko's father lived in Twilight Town. He was the assistant principal of the high school and her mother was the principal for Traverse Town. Both pretty financial jobs right? Well the father was promoted but since a spot wasn't open in the one in Twilight Town, they moved him to Traverse Town. When he arrived and got settled in, he was to supervise a class room to make sure they are teaching everything that they should be.

Of course this was a day where none of the substitutes were open and her mother, who was the principal, ended up being the substitute for room 324 which was the art class. She was teaching them all she knew because she has a minor degree in art and also the lesson written down like teachers are supposed to do when they aren't there. That's when the two met and the spark was lit. They started talking after class during break and were getting along great. Eventually after a few days of speaking, he finally got up the courage to ask her on a date. They went on a several and after four or five months of dating, he finally popped the question and she said yes. They got married and after a year, they decided on kids.

That is when they had twins, Sumiko Asami Kurosawa, who was born five minutes after, and Isamu Katsuro Kurosawa.

Sumiko depended on Isamu quite a bit though he wasn't as dependent on Sumiko. But whenever Isamu went somewhere, she followed. Of course they were still very young so she didn't know anything about personal boundaries. After a few years, Sumiko's dependence on Isamu lessened just a tad. Though Sumiko started to show a more unusual way of playing. She liked to torture Shouta by destroying everything he built. At the time, she thought it to be funny to see him mad and loved it when he chased her. Though he never really got her because she managed to get up to places he couldn't get to due to her great body strength at the time. Eventually, she grew out of it when she turned nine and seemed to act a little more normal than she usually acted. One day, she saw her mother sewing some scarfs for the winter that was approaching. She sat next to her and was taught to sew. Sumiko enjoyed it quite a bit because she got to make stuff for Shouta and was forced to wear it regardless if he wanted to.

It was Sumiko's sixteenth birthday when a big storm blew through Traverse Town and their neighborhood was put under flash flood warning. Normally nothing bad happened so they believed they would be fine. Unfortunately, they were all wrong and it got so bad that the house began to fill with water. Sumiko was still not the best swimmer despite her age and when they were trying to get out, the water went past her head and panicked. She tried to swim back up but the room was almost at the top and wouldn't be able to get enough air and eventually passed out. Her father noticed she was missing and went back into the house to find her and saw her floating in the water. He grabbed her and got out of the house and they took her to the hospital. Fortunately, she was alive barely but was put into a very deep coma that she may or may not come out of. Shouta was distraught about the situation and constantly wished that he was in her place instead.

Every Wednesday, Shouta would visit her room and sit there for a few hours until she went back home around eight at night. Her parents then started to lose hope for their daughter and was just about ready to let her go. But Shouta was persistent and demanded that they didn't do it. He would do anything if they didn't resort to that. He even said he'd pay for everything. They both looked and each other and didn't do it. They decided that it would be better for Shouta if they just brought her home into her room and hired a personal nurse to watch everything to make sure nothing bad happens or if she wakes up.

Shouta, still upset about what has happened after three years, started to see things. Eventually it became clear and he saw before him Sumiko, or what he wanted to see. The sadness he went through caused him to create a figment of his own imagination that resembled his twin sister to comfort him. Now this was completely unintentional. No one can see her, only Shouta can see her by his side and believes that this is her. No one will know what will happen when or if the real Sumiko decides to wake up.
