Face Claim: Sora from Kingdom Hearts
Brief Overview: A trademark of Sora’s is his crazily spiked head of milk-chocolate colored hair, perfectly sculpted in a disarray of spikes that shoot out at all angles. His eyes are a bright and innocent sapphire blue, always shining with a light from within. The corners of his eyes crinkle a little when he smiles from years of frequent laughter and smiling. Another easily recognizable feature of his is his perpetually smiling face, it’s a contagious grin so full of cheerfulness that it’s absolutely impossible for someone to look at it and not break in to a grin in return.
Sora is of average height, about 5’6”, although most of his height is from his hair, but he'll still argue that his hair has nothing to do with it. His skin is lightly tanned from all the time spent outside on the islands, summers spent lounging on the beach or playing various sports outside with his friends.
He weighs 128lbs and is very toned from years of athletic activity; from soccer to surfing to volleyball to basketball, Sora's played it all at some point or other. He's not overly muscular, but his arms, legs, and stomach are hard and toned.
He has a 2 and a half inch scar running down his left inner-thigh from when he was 7 and fell out of the bent Paopu tree on the Play Island, on his way down his leg had banged against the bark of the tree before he landed in the water several feet below.[/left][/size]

Overview:
Sora is an incredibly optimistic young man, always searching for the silver lining of every situation. He strongly believes that even when it seems that everything is going terribly wrong, it's just one bad thing after another--it can only get better from there on and you need to just hold out a little longer. He likes to remind people of this when they feel like they've lost all hope for a better future.
Growing up, Sora was known not only for his athleticism but also for his eagerness to help others. He's kind beyond belief and incredibly caring--whether you know him or not, Sora's willing to help you out if you have a problem [unless it's math, because he fails at solving math problems].
He's fairly outgoing, willing to do whatever it takes to make new friends and ensure that he's not on anyone's 'bad side'. Sora's pretty simple-minded, simple things such as candy, music, balloons, sports and coloring can calm him down in an instant when he's upset or angry.
With all the good things about him aside, Sora can be rather immature all the time at times. He'll laugh at something said that could be taken the wrong way, or at a funny name, his mother has told him time and time again that he needs to grow up and act his age but he's having too much fun holding on to his childhood to actually heed what she's telling him in regards to his behavior.

[/size]Mother: Aoko Ran Hiroaki, 39 (Destiny Islands)
Father: Hideki Issun Hiroaki, 48 (whereabouts unknown)
Siblings: none
Home town: Destiny Islands
Overview: Growing up Sora lived in the rich part of Destiny Islands with his mother, Aoko, and his father, Hideki. The first few years of his life were spent following his parents around like a lost puppy, he thrived on their attention and they certainly gave him more than enough of it, his mother especially! He spent his childhood days bounding along the sandy shores of Destiny Beach, splashing through the waves, and building sandcastles.
When he was around 10 years old he began to notice a change in his parents’ relationship, they were arguing a lot more and his dad was spending more and more time at work than he used to. But his 10 year old mind couldn’t comprehend what was happening or that the arguing and dad staying at work were connected to each other.
Halfway through the year, Sora remembered coming home from school one day to find his mother crying on the phone to her best friend. He had rushed to her side in an instant, burying his face in her thigh and wrapping his little arms around her in a comforting hug. Aoko held her child and cried for hours, explaining to him through coughing, hiccups, and sobs that daddy wasn’t going to be coming home. She had conveniently left out that his father had cheated on her and left the family to live with his new lover—Sora wouldn’t know this until he was 12 and found out on his own.
After his father left his grades dropped—but his athleticism increased. He’d spend hours outside with his bestfriends and the other kids from school playing various sports such as soccer, swimming, surfing, volleyball and basketball. Sora took a liking to soccer and swimming in particular—joining his school’s team once he got to high school. Of course, in order to stay on the team he needed to bring his grades back up, which he did, with a little help from some after school tutors.
His senior year Sora was the Team Captain of the soccer team and was appointed as the Co-Captain of the Swim team, his soccer team made it to the championships and came in 2nd place while the Swim team won 1st place. Sora’s natural athletic ability is how he was able to come to Kingdom University in the first place. Several colleges sent him scholarship offerings and after touring each campus he made his decision and accepted KU’s soccer scholarship.

How Did You Find Us? made the site :3
Roleplay Sample: It seemed as if people were coming out of the woodworks!—and all because there was mention of a possible fight. It was amusing to see just how bored everyone seemed, they were all looking to catch a glimpse of the action, or maybe even take part in it. Whatever the case, if the girl was an enemy there was no way she’d be able to take on Sora and the entire army. His ocean blue gaze danced from soldier to soldier, mentally counting the number of allies currently in attendance—well, the number was too great for him to count, but he definitely liked the odds.
He was brought out of his musings by a familiar head of dark spiky hair [though not nearly as spiky or gravity defying as his own!] calling out to him. The brunet tilted his head to the side, the boy definitely looked familiar—there was no doubt about that, but where had Sora seen him fr—oh! A sheepish blush tinted his cheeks a light pink. How could he have possibly forgotten Leon? He had played with Sora and his friends back on the island and although the boy was a few years older than the spiky haired brunet they had still gotten along pretty well.
“Leon? Wow, it feels like it’s been forever since the last time I’ve seen you!” Sora grinned excitedly, bouncing on the heels of his shoes while giving his friend the once-over. It certainly had been a while since he had seen the older boy, a couple years to be a little more precise, it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that Leon had grown over the years. But…Sora had grown too, as expected; he wasn’t that scrawny little momma’s boy who followed Riku around like a lost puppy anymore. He had matured become somewhat of an independent person, now especially, since he didn’t have his travel companions anymore—they were busy helping the King, he assumed—and Riku was traveling on his own which left Sora to travel the universe on his own as well. “How did I get here? Well…” He leaned closer to Leon conspiratorially, making sure to keep his voice low, and whispered, “I flew here on a Gummi Ship, of course. But shh! People from other worlds aren’t supposed to know about that kind of thing—the existence of other worlds or of the technology that allows up to traverse the galaxy and all that.” Sora used to think that it was stupid that so many people had to be kept in the dark regarding the existence of other worlds—but now, more than ever, he realized the importance of keeping such information a secret to the majority of society. If everyone knew of the other worlds then it was possible that it would start a panic. People would fear invasions and attacks from neighboring worlds that they wouldn’t be able to relax and live their lives the way they should.
“Oh..yeah, I’m alone. Riku’s off on his own and Kairi is still back on the islands.” He lowered his gaze, a little saddened by the change of topic. He would’ve given anything to be traveling with his friends, but at the same time he wanted to keep Kairi and everyone else safe so…it was for the best that she remained on Destiny Islands. Riku, however, could have easily joined Sora on his venture but had decided that it would’ve been more efficient for them to go their separate ways and meet up later on—much to Sora’s chagrin.
He quickly shook off the feeling of loneliness and plastered on another of his trademark bright smiles, “So…you live here now then? Ohh! Does this mean you’re in the military? How come I didn’t see you the last time I was here helping out?” So, did that mean that when Destiny Islands was destroyed all those years ago [well…it was more like..3-ish years] that this was the world Leon had ended up on? It must have been if he wasn’t aware that there were ways to travel from world to world, he had probably been stuck here the entire time. Sora felt a pang of guilt and sympathy towards the older boy. Guilt because Leon had been stuck here for the past few years [or, he was assuming that he had] and therefore hadn’t seen his friends and family from the Islands for that amount of time. If Sora had seen his friend during previous visits then he would have definitely offered to give him a ride back to the Islands. And he felt sympathetic because he knew what it was like having to go extended periods of time without seeing his friends or family—but the responsibilities of the Keyblade Master were never finished, he supposed.
The sixteen year old boy did a double take when, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a boy descend from the sky on a pair of…what looked to Sora to be roller blades. How bizarre. Though he supposed that he shouldn’t have found it too odd, he had definitely seen more peculiar things during his travels. The boy seemed cheerful enough, or perhaps Sora was misinterpreting the boy’s attitude—he never was the best at deciphering the meaning behind people’s words or actions. He was far too naïve and innocent—or at least that was what he had been told in the past. “I think we’ve got it all under control.” He still wasn’t quite sure of the situation but from the looks of things there wouldn’t be a fight…for now at least.
”Hellllooo~!”
Sora craned his neck to catch a glimpse of the newest addition to the already large group crowded around the army camp. She was…well, she was definitely…different, that was for sure! He’d never seen someone utilize so many colors in their appearance in his life! She was like a living, breathing rainbow! Which wasn’t a bad thing, he happened to like bright colors [but he thought he looked a lot cooler wearing semi-dark colors]. He noticed that she seemed to be paying him a bit more attention than anyone else in the area and it made him a little wary of her and her possible intentions.
He turned back to Tsunami, but made sure to keep track of the two bizarre new additions to the group [Proioxis and Xanadu] from the corner of his eye, something about those two kept him a little on edge. “Uh, yeah. I’m Sora, why?” The comment about his height made him frown a little, subconsciously raising his hand [the one not gripping his Oath Keeper] above his head as if he were trying to determine his height and compare it to her own. Sora didn’t think he was that short, he was of average height for a boy his age…”Hey! My height’s average—you don’t have to be a giant in order to be a hero and help people.” His voice held a defensive edge to it, not because he was offended by what she had said or because he was angry or anything—it was more the fact that the situation was a tad stressful and to add to it the two new comers made him a little hesitant.
“Wait…so you mean to say that that war that they fought in not too long ago…” One could practically hear the gears turning and grinding away in Sora’s noggin’,”…that was all because of you? You helped to start that?” Well, that didn’t exactly help her case very much…
He was a little ashamed to say that his grip had tightened around the hilt of his Keyblade, becoming more aware and alert of the situation when she brought her hands up—initially he had thought that she was going to pull something, a trick and attack them. Though how foolish did you have to be to attack a Keyblade Master [well, apparently not that foolish since plenty of people had done it in the past]? Or an entire army for that matter? His grip loosened and he let his blade drop a little once again once he realized that she was merely trying to help by releasing the guards that she had tied up before.
“If you’re here to make amends then what exactly did you have in mind?” Tilting his head to the side in a curious manner.
