Marluxia is a very tall man. He also has exceptional muscular build. While this might make him intimidating to some people, that's really not true about him. He happens to have a very feminine and elegant overall look. Factors that contribute to this would be his medium length, rose colored hair, and his face which looks much more like a female's than a male's. It doesn't look rugged/rough at all, and he's said to have perfect complexion.
Marluxia's clothes are usually fashionable. He hates to look "drag" and "out of style". As much as I'd like to say he does, he doesn't wear woman's clothing as his definition of style. He tends to buy the fancy looking clothes many men usually only wear for special occasions. He doesn't normally wear suits, yet it's more like replace the suit jacket with a purple vest and you've got it. Although he can be caught wearing jeans for school. Marluxia is... an odd cookie. He has a thing for flowers, and owns his own garden (somewhere). He likes to decorate his classroom with pots of flowers, all grow from seed by himself. If one of his students are allergic to flowers, he'll tell them to listen from outside the room due to his reluctance to remove his beloved plants. If anyone destroys or harms any kind of flower, whether grown by him or not, he will become enraged and start yelling at whomever it is. Surprisingly, he likes flowers more than people, as even if he's attracted to said person, he will still yell at them.
As for humans, Marluxia will hit on anyone. And I mean anyone. Whether they be a boy or girl, student or fellow teacher (unless they're REALLY old, like, in their fifties or something >.>), as long as they're attractive, he'll go after them. Now, he is a teacher after all, and would very much like to keep his job, so he limits his advances on students to just words, no physical contact. With teachers, Marluxia will not hold back as much. He will freely glomp and hit on the attractive ones, although he won't go farther than kissing since this site is rated PG-13...
As a teacher, Marluxia actually doesn't do that bad a job. He speaks several different languages, and often mixes them with English as he talks. This is fitting, however, for World Literature, as when he teaches it, he likes to say works from different parts of the world in their native language. Although he'll translate into English if any students get confused. He loves reading his students' works, and takes pride in what he's able to teach them. This goes for his history class as well. However, he tries to make sure he speaks in all English outside of World Literature, although his chances of success aren't 100%.

Marluxia has never had a real permanent home. He lived in an orphanage for most of his childhood, and life was mediocre. He was treated averagely, not great, but not poor either. His orphanage-mates(?) were usually teasing him about his pink hair and femininity, but while it bothered him a
t first, he eventually grew to deal with it and became completely comfortable with himself.
When he was about 7 years old, he was adopted by the elderly couple of Giana and Joseph Sakura, whom owned a greenhouse. While they did own a regular residence, they spent more time with their plants than they did without. They taught Marluxia all about the plants, and their love for them spread to him. He often helped water them, and grow them, and all of that. His time with the Sakuras was his happiest times, and their greenhouse/residence was the closest thing Marluxia ever had to a home.
However, this happiness obviously didn't last. About 8 years after they adopted him, there was a fire in the greenhouse. One of the hanging lights fell, and the plants caught on fire. Marluxia was able to escape, however, his adoptive parents were old (in their sixties by this time), and weren't as fortunate. By the time the firemen came, the greenhouse was burnt beyond repair, and his parents were gone.
15 at this time, Marluxia was offered the chance to go to another foster home, however, he refused. Instead, he stayed at a cheap local Inn, working there part time to pay for his room. He continued to go to the public school and excelled in foreign language. By the time he went to college, he was fluent in both English and French, and wanted to learn more, which lead him to studying global business. He learned several other languages while traveling, and on the way, found himself attracted to both genders and all ages over time. His previous attitude concerning other people's opinion came out again, and he didn't care about the other people's remarks about him. This behavior, however, got him fired from his international work.
While he was unhappy about not being able to travel for free anymore, he didn't really mind losing the job itself. It had become boring and bland, and he found he enjoyed the different languages more. The development of then and now also peaked his interest, and this lead to him going back to college to study fields regarding these topics. When he graduated, he quickly found a job at Kingdom University, seeing as they needed a professor fora few classes. He also promised in a contract not to do anything serious to students.
