Hei-Lin is from China, and her appearance shows it. She always has ornate hair accessories in her hair that she brought with her from home, no matter what (even when she's sleeping, some kind of small clip is in there). She's grown her hair out in the past few years, as it now reaches her lower back. It's black, and always sleek due to some (slightly) obsessive use of shampoo and conditioner. Her hair looks pretty straight, with a bit of a curl towards the end/bottom. She's fairly tall, and slim, due to being a martial arts enthusiast. Her eyes are brown, and always seem to have a sort of sparkle to them, which adds to her overall happy aura. She typically looks like a porcelain Asian doll, that is always smiling.
Her normal clothes would include Chinese styled silk dresses with button-like knots coming from the neckline diagonally to directly below either her right or left shoulder. . (You know how the traditional Chinese clothing has, instead of buttons, things that go into loops of string located on the opposite end of each other? Those are the button-like knots). Some end at the middle of her thigh, other more school appropriate ones end at about the middle of her shin with a slit along one side that stops at about her knee. Regardless of the season, she'll wear slippers of various colors to match her outfit. However, as far as clothing goes for the seasons, she'll switch her short sleeved dress/tops for long sleeved ones in the winter. She's given herself a personal rule to not wear american styled clothing or, basically any other clothing besides Chinese. That is, unless it's truly required.

Hei-Lin is an extremely hyper person. She's always seen smiling, jumping, or moving in general. She has a bit of trouble staying still. Also, the way she talks is usually fast paced and quick to the point. However, if she calms down or happens to be not hyper, she'll talk at a normal pace, however, still sounding upbeat and happy. She's also the type of person you imagine that has a skip in her walk and stuff.
Hei-Lin also has an obsession with Chinese things. Her clothes,accessories, and sometimes speak patterns are all Chinese. (Speech patterns referring to the fact that sometimes, she'll speak bouts of Chinese in a conversation. That's what I meant by language, but didn't think to clarify XD) And she refuses to eat food that's not Chinese. That goes for drinks as well. However, she doesn't have a disliking to people of different heritages, or anything, unless they make it a point that their country is better. Then, she'd get into a huge debate about it, unless they back it off. If this was the case, she'd simply, though unwillingly, back off, and probably stay pissed for the day.
She also hapens to be an EXTREME otaku. She loves shoujo mangas, and is constantly comparing people she meets and certain situations to that of a manga she's reading or read. One of her favorite lines is about a relation ship, being" "That is so not like a shoujo manga!". Or, if the relationship happens to be like a shoujo manga's, she'll say the opposite and get all excited. She gets some weird stares whn he happens to do this, and often, will randomly shout out comparisons between the real world and her books when it seems to have no relevance at all. The only drive was that she just noticed the similarities between the two.
Lastly, she's got an obsession with attractive boys, AKA bishounens. She'll hit on any boy as long as she thinks they're cute, whether they're her age, younger, or older (though in a reasonable distance... she's not hitting on professors or anything -_-) She won't out right molest them *coughoughliketorencoughcough*. However, she will suddenly glomp them, kiss them, and have plain physical contact with them. Basically, everything besides actual molesting.

Hei-Lin is obviously from Chins. She grew up on a small farm, and her family wasn't very wealthy, but not exactly poor either. They got by fine, with some oney to spare. However, they all had to work pretty hard and the work is one of the reasons why Hei-Lin is a formidable fighter. She built up a lot of muscle and is also into martial arts. Also, she didn't have much intereaction with other people outside her family, so when she came to KU, she gets a bit... overexcited when she sees attractive boys. Although honestly, even if she had been around boys in China, I doubt she'd act much differently now (I mean, come on, this school's got Sora, Riku, and Roxas all in one!)
When her brother, Yozu, was born, her family found it a bit harder to get by, seeing as it took up a good amount of their time taking care of him and stuff. However, everyone did their best to make sure Yozu had a cheerful childhood and was always happy. When he turned 4 however, Hei-Lin's family was getting pretty desperate. Her parents worked on the farm more than on Yozu, and he was left to Hei-Lin. But, he didn't really like her that much, and made things difficult for her. She dealt with it the best she could, and finally, when it became too much, she requested to spend most of her time studying for college rather than taking care of her brother.
Her parents granted her this, and she proceeded to study in psychology, so to maybe try to get along with her brother more. When it came to, she got into Kingdom University with a scholarship, and she's been here for a year already. Her first year was like an introduction for her, getting to know the campus and students as well as teachers, but this year, she plans to do more since she knows everyone and stuff. Oh yes, and she happens to own a white cat with blue eyes named Mr, Whiskers, whom is a girl, and has successfully snuck her into her dorm room
