Cloud is a good looking young man although he rarely ever really pays attention to his looks. He’s of average height, reaching a good five feet seven inches off the ground and weighing a hundred and thirty five pounds. His body is slim and lean but well muscled thanks to all the working out he does. He has a healthy complexion with a bit of color though not quite tanned. His skin is completely unblemished save for a tattoo on his right shoulder blade where a folded somewhat tattered yet demonic looking black wing sits.
Cloud’s most distinguishing features are his gravity defying hair and eyes. His eyes while an almost blue-grey (though mostly blue) seem almost to glow but underneath the glow is something very guarded as are his expressions the majority of the time. His hair is a bright blonde that the front seems to defy gravity as it sticks up in various yet coordinated directions. The back of his hair seems to be slicked back somewhat yet there remains to be a few spikes here and there. Full lips, an angled face and an earring in his left ear make him something to look at. While his facial expressions are usually guarded when Cloud chooses to smile or laugh his eyes seem to glow all the more and his face really lights up.

Even as a child Cloud had always been a quiet child and even now he doesn’t usually talk unless he feels like it. Cloud is a very passionate person, when he feels something he feels it with his whole being. When he feels guilty, he feels like there’s a weight on his chest. When he’s happy you can see it in the glow of his eyes and so on so forth. While not completely empathic he’s not as apathetic as he makes himself seem. All his friends know him to be a loveable guy who has had his rough patches like everyone. He has a fiery temper though and at times he can be brash with his actions but he has the attitude of someone who’s a leader.
There are many sides to Cloud though the most seen one is his more emotionless looking nature. Usually he seems very broody and quiet and in truth he can get to that point but he is a naturally quiet young man. The saying ‘a man of few words’ would apply to him and fit him perfectly. He doesn’t talk much except when he feels there’s something that needs to be said or whenever he feels like talking. However, the only reason he remains to quiet and seemingly emotionless is because he doesn’t want his friends to worry about him if something ever does upset him. So he learned how to hide his feelings add that to the fact he’s also a little shy and you have the reason to his quietness there.
Get passed the walls of seeming apathy and you’ll find a pretty cool guy who’s extremely loyal and kind. He adores his friends and is willing to do anything for them. He has a ironically witty but slightly dry sense of humor which becomes obvious whenever he’s playing with or playfully bantering with one of his friends. He’s always willing to stick up for his friends and he has a completely selfless nature and even though he pretends he isn’t, Cloud is actually extremely kind. He is highly compassionate young man that became apparent when he convinced his mother to take in two orphans when he was younger, a girl and a boy. All in all although Cloud tries to hide it he has a heart of gold.

Cloud’s biological parents gave him up as soon as he was born with only one request. That he grew up with parents that would love him and that bore similar features so while he grew up, he wouldn’t suspect the truth. So with that he was given to Rika and Erick Strife with there own son Ren Strife. Even back then Erick had never really played a big part in Cloud’s life thanks to the fact he was always busy with work and rarely came home. Cloud’s adoption had been a split second decision because Rika had been lonely with only one son and an absent husband. Cloud lived a fairly good life and was somewhat privileged although he wasn’t as spoiled as his year older adopted brother Ren. He didn’t understand this and he never really cared since he was happy to get any amount of attention.
However, Cloud was always kept away from the other children and his brother Ren never played with him so Cloud kept to himself mostly. He would see his father from time to time but mostly he clung to his mother’s hand and stayed by her. She didn’t mind since she was happy that at least one of her son’s appreciated her company. While Cloud grew he never doubted Rika and Erick Strife were his real parents or that Ren was his brother even if he didn’t look like him. As he grew older Cloud began to notice slight differences between him a Ren though as well as between him and his parents. Like how Ren’s hair was a darker blonde or how neither of his parents had his type of blue eyes that seemed to glow slightly.
It was only when he was thirteen that Cloud found out about the truth. Rika and Erick had been arguing about Cloud and how Rika thought he had every right to be the heir to Jenova enterprise. However, Erick didn’t believe so and that was when he let slip about Cloud not really being their child just as Cloud was entering the room. Without a thought Cloud ran from the house and continued running. He didn’t stop until he grew tired and then he sat down on the side walk and just watched everyone pass him by. It was at that moment he met another boy around his age and they began talking, Cloud revealing what he overheard. They talked for a while, Cloud feeling better the more they spoke and joked around but the thought of his real parents not wanting him still lingered in the back of his mind.
It was late when Ren found him saying good bye to the other boy and they walked back to the house in silence. Knowledge that they weren’t really brother’s making them somewhat awkward now. When they got him Cloud went straight to his room and didn’t come out, even when Rika knocked on his door and asked if she could come in. It wasn’t till the next morning that the change in the boy’s demeanor was noticeable. He was quieter than usual and the usual slight smile that had graced his features was no longer there. In its stead was a blank expression that let nothing show save when his mother managed to make him smile. That wasn’t the only change though, his brother also changed after that night. Becoming crueler towards Cloud and pointing out the fact that he wasn’t really part of the family. The once inseparable brother’s began to get estranged as they grew older.
When Cloud was sixteen he noticed two young orphans on the sidewalk near where he lived wearing nothing but tattered clothes. Remembering the fact he himself was an adopted child and feeling compassionate he brought them to his mother and begged her to adopt them. Using every low and dirty trick to convince her to adopt them, even his own adoption and the way he found out. Erick hadn’t been pleased when he found out but it was too late, the papers were signed. Alan and Sera were now part of the family and Cloud watched over them to the best of his ability. It was when he was seventeen that his father, behind his back, forged his application to Kingdom University so he could be rid of him. Only a few months later after Cloud’s eighteenth birthday he found out he got in on a Scholarship.
He was furious that his father had done something like this but Rika was so happy that he’d be getting into such a good school that he didn’t have the heart not to go. So with a heavy heart he attended KU, making friends and acing his classes like he had in highschool.
