Marulus has a graceful, slender build with milky white skin. He has well defined features with messy shoulder length bluish white hair. In combination with his eyes, many people are lead to believe he's albino, but he actually isn't, he just has a coincidental hair and eye color combination. Marulus tends to dress in Victorian era clothes, simply because he's always had a fascination with that point in time. He almost always carries his cane with him, which is ebony wood tipped at the bottom with stainless steel and sterling silver topper shaped like a rabbit.

Marulus is an odd duck to say the least. He collects Victorian era antiques, and even owns an old phonograph in his office. He's rather fond of tea, Earl Grey particularly. Marulus also is rather fond of absinthe, which he frequently puts in his tea. Quirk of Marulus' is that he seems to have some issue with Colonel Sanders, as if he's a rival of some sort. Even mentioning KFC can upset Marulus.

Past his eccentricities, Marulus is a rather polite and cheerful man. He's rarely seen without a smile on his face, and takes great joy in teaching. Marulus also loves to interject his lessons with random and useless, but often interesting trivia that's tangently related to the subject at hand. Marulus also frequently likes to try and invite his colleagues in the same building to dinner, often dragging his son children along with him.

Marulus was born to a rather poor family in a bad neighborhood. He managed to go to a good enough school, and despite his surroundings lead a relatively happy life, just the normal life of a kid.

In school, Marulus had two great passions, History and Chemistry. With Chemistry in particular, he was interested in how different chemicals entered into and affected the environment. Marulus was actually good enough in school that he skipped a grade from 7th straight to 9th while he was in school. He naturally received some bullying because of this, but otherwise was happy. Marulus graduated school at the top of his class and with a scholarship and acceptance to Kingdom University. This pleased his parents very much as it was an elitist school.

Marulus never quite fit into the upper crust society around the school, but muddled through with a few friends from similar home situations and friends that were simply sympathetic to him. Marulus left school with a PhD in Environmental Chemistry. During his time at KU, Marulus met Sopia Belmonde, who he married after a year long relationship.

Marulus came back to KU to become a professor. When he got the title, he celebrated by buying a home for his growing family. It wasn't particularly large, but it was home. Tragedy soon struck in a car accident that killed his wife, and maimed his leg. The accident is the reason he has his cane, he needs it to walk.

Marulus is still professor of Environmental Chemistry at KU, and doesn't plan on quitting any time soon.
