It's been asked a few times and I haven't had an answer. Now I do though.
A year has passed at Kingdom University and, keeping with that, students have moved up both in age and year. Sora is the main focus of this age change therefore, for character's whose ages are based on his at all, some characters will sort of require and age and grade update.
This doesn't mean that everyone needs to age their characters. You are free to decide what you want to do with your character. Just keep in mind that upgrading your character is best if you had important plots with someone else who has been upgraded.
