Though that didn’t necessarily mean that he couldn’t dance, he just chose not to, it just wasn’t his style to just show up some place and start shaking his hips every which way. Though in a setting like this he figured that if he wasn’t dancing then he’d stick out like a sore thumb against the mass of moving bodies. It was one of those days where he felt like he needed to get away and just be a kid teen and let loose, rather than a rockstar with all the responsibilities that go along with his profession. He loved what he did—making music and pleasing his fans—but sometimes the constant stress put on him [and his bandmates] by the Label just got to be too overwhelming. In times like those he’d often find himself sneaking away in the middle of the night, in some sort of disguise of course, and having a night out on the town.
He wasn’t sure how long he’d been there, it could have been half an hour or it could’ve been 2 hours, seise time seemed to escape him, all he could do was keep moving in rhythm with the crowd. The dance floor was just one big mass of people, grinding against each other and dancing way too close for comfort, the idea of personal space was a foreign thought to everyone, it seemed. Tsukyoshii Sai didn’t mind the close proximity he and these strangers were in though, he was just thankful that his hat, as well as the darkness of the room and the flash of the multi-colored strobe lights hid his identity well. How awful would it have been if he had been recognized? He would have been trapped, unable to escape if a few crazies decided to jump him [which happened more often than you’d think in this industry!]
His clothing clung heavily to his body from his sweat despite the fact that he had intentionally worn a thin shirt to accommodate the heat of the club. Glancing around, he noticed that he wasn’t the only one feeling a little hot [though, he imagined that most of the people there were feeling hot…but not the same sticky, sweatiness that he was feeling, judging from the way some of them were dancing with each other].
Sai pushed his way through the crowd, slowly shuffling towards the other side of the dance floor where the bar was located. He was only a few short weeks away from being 20, the legal age for drinking in Japan, but that wouldn’t stop him from having a drink or two—he’d been drinking for years and no one had ever caught him.
“Oi, bar tender! I’ll have a shot of whiskey. |
[/color]” He decided that he’d start off small with the alcohol for now and depending on how he thought the rest of the night would go would decide how much more alcohol he’d consume. It’s not like he had anywhere to be the next day so he could afford getting drunk if he felt like it. words, 519 tags, OPEN. notes, Howdyy :3 credits, kiwii at btn! It was supposed to be his day off but apparently one of the other employees got sacked for mouthing off to the boss. That is what led him here...on his day off. Being a bartender at The Joker wasn't easy but it was a good paying job and it helped pay the bills so he didn't mind it too much. So long as it didn't cut too close to his education and personal life but Riku was good at juggling things. The minute Riku entered the club's doors, the pressure of the bass was pressing down on him as the beating music played. Tension seemed to drain away as he smiled slightly at the crowd of people who were pressed together. Okay so maybe he enjoyed it a lot more than he'd ever admit to. He made his way through the mass of writhing bodies, laughing and playfully flirting with anyone who tried to bring him into the tempting mass of people. When he finally made it to the bar, Ted was watching him with amusement. "They're like leeches whenever you come around." It was no surprise that in Joker everyone loved when Riku was on shift. They always said he was one of the more good-looking bartenders and definitely the friendliest one. Riku laughed lightly, slipping under the door and behind the bar where he entered the employee area. Ted slipped in after him and watched as he got ready. "The boss is pretty pissed so it'll be just me and you on the bar tonight." Riku relaxed a little at the news, it was always just a little bit tense whenever the boss was around since he didn't like them fooling around too much. however, he and Ted had learned to get around it and please the loyal customers. Once he was dressed for work in a no sleeve black t-shirt, tight black pants and a black choker, Riku stood up and grinned. "Shall we get this show on the road then?" Ted grinned as he replied, "I thought you'd never ask."The night was young but it felt like it was going faster than ever as Riku served customers and kept everyone at the bar entertained. When he lost himself into this crazy mass of music and heat, Riku felt like a different person and at the moment that was exactly what he was craving. he glanced at Ted, laughing when he noticed and winked at Riku suggestively. It was the fan service many of the customer loved about these two and that was why they got on so well. They were comfortable enough to just let go and not bring the outside, inside with them. They were professionals after all. Riku looked up when he heard a particularly young voice shout out for whiskey. He grinned when he saw it was Sai, a young man he'd become pretty good drinking buddies with a while back. He tugged Ted back and walked up to the young man as he poored him his drink. "You look like you've had a long day."-- Compliments of PhantomXO Post For SAI Note; hope its alright[/style] |
