•The shining starlight rain, looking at me.••My smile, and my voice, look••will become more beautiful than yesterday •Rose yawned, as she stretched out underneath a tree. She had already unpacked in her down, but she wasn't about to stay in her room longer than she needed to. One: because her roommate hadn't shown up yet, so, two: it was way too quiet in there for her. Anyways, she rather liked being outside in the sun, even in the winter. She would also choose to study outside, or during break during swim meets. She sighed wistfully, she couldn't wait until the swim meets started back up again. She felt as though she was getting really lazy, during the summer. She had been sleeping alot. Which... wasn't good. She'd gained a few pounds too, because being at home and her mother's cooking wasn't a good combination either. She yawned again and scanned the courtyard, looking for any familiar face. to come across. She probably should've brought a book. But she figured she would enjoy her day off from work by just laying out here. Another yawn and she settled up against the tree and pulled out a ear bud and stuck it in her ear, turning on her ipod, she began switching through songs... Touch your lips just so I know, In your eyes, love, it glows... So I'm bare boned and crazy for you... When you come crash into me, baby and I come into you... In a boys dream, In a boys dream...

Akii had stayed up till the ungodly hour of 4:30 in the morning the night before to finish a painting that she had started a little over a week ago. It was unfortunate that inspiration often struck her at the most inopportune moment, more often than not she would be lying in bed trying to sleep when suddenly her artistic muse was yanking her out of bed and over to her easel.
She sniffled a yawn with the palm of her hand, her eyes watering slightly from the action. The silver-haired 3rd year had been able to finish her painting and was rather proud of the outcome but at the price of her sleep. Now here she was, stuck on campus for another hour or so in between classes, completely exhausted. Though, really she supposed that she should've been used to only getting, at most, about 5 to 6 hours of sleep a night but that didn't subtract from the fact that it still sucked having to spend all day in classes fighting to keep her eyes open.
Akii repositioned the strap of her shoulder bag, it was starting to dig into the side of her neck and it felt incredibly uncomfortable. Maybe I'll just sit down for a bit...
She plopped down beneath the closest tree and leaned up against it, closing her eyes and reveling in how relaxing and nice it felt to not be on her feet anymore. She heard a slight shuffling noise coming from behind her, peaking out from where she was sitting she noticed another girl sitting just opposite of her. She seemed familiar enough, Akii recognized her from a couple of the classes she'd had over the years but couldn't remember what her name was...
"Oh hi. Sorry, I didn't see you there.."

Rose had yawned, turned onto her side and was very close to falling asleep, when the crunching of grass near caught her attention. The sound got close, stopped, and she detected from the sound of it, someone had sat down and leaned on the other side of the tree. She had half a mind just to continue to fall asleep, or she could be social and say hello to the person who had decided to join her.
Except the person who had sat down, acknowledged her first. She smiled, sitting up and tucked some of the hair that had fallen out of her ponytail and leaned around the tree. She was met with a girl, whom she's seen before in her classes and the halls, and she noted that she had the most beautiful silver hair she'd seen. People in this world had the most interested hair colors. She made eye contact with the girl and held out her hand.
"No worries, I really shouldn't be sleeping anyways. I'd stay up all night."
Rose laughed at her self. "I'm Rose, by the way. Don't we have a few classes together?"
She gave a pleasant smile.

As the other girl yawned, Akii's body forced her to do the same against her will and she stifled a small smile before quietly teasing the girl by saying, "Be careful with those, don't you know those things are contagious?" It was a wonder how she could openly speak to someone now when it was just last year that she was such a recluse. Though she still considered herself to be rather reserved and quiet, she didn't mind making small talk with other people, it was the polite thing to do, wasn't it?
"I end up staying up all night anyways, so I'd probably be better off taking a nap." She mused, her bright eyes closing momentarily as a light breeze ruffled through her hair, carrying with it the scents from The Commons, whatever they were making for lunch smelled really good for once, not that she often ate there anyway--she preferred to cook her own meals.
Rose. So that was her name, Akii felt a lot better now that the other girl had introduced herself, "It's nice to meet you, I'm Akii. And yeah, I remember seeing you in a few of my classes. It's nice to finally have a name to put with the face." She was glad that the other girl had introduced herself first because that saved Akii the trouble of asking for a name--especially if, for some reason, it had been expected of her to already know that her ame was Rose just because thy had had class together in the past. How embarrassing would that have been?
