Height: 5'2"
Weight: 110 lbs
Hair Color/Style: Long, straight dark chocolate brown hair in a heavily layered cut falls to her hips. Her bangs are long enough to cover her eyes.
Face Claim: Yuki Kuran of Vampire Knight
Brief Overview: Lili is a slender, short girl with an overall delicate appearance in part because of her near sickly paleness and thin form. Her long hair is normally left to flow freely, and when it's pulled back, she keeps it in a ponytail (due to its thickness and length it's a total pain to braid otherwise she would braid it as well). Her large deep red-brown eyes are framed by thick black lashes, stark in color compared to her fair skin. Her ears are pierced and she will often wear long, dangling earrings alongside a necklace. Lili prefers to wear more comfortable clothing, and her style is 'cute,' which fits her perfectly. Her favorite colors are sky blue and crimson red, and they often are incorporated into her wardrobe. While she understands that skirts and dresses may look good on her, she secretly hates them and will always be found wearing shorts underneath if she has to wear one no matter the occasion.

Overview: Many people consider Lili easy to get along with as long as you yourself are a relatively nice person; she doesn't deal with jerks. She was raised to be a well-mannered, hard-working, and thoughtful girl who is always polite no matter the circumstance. She's a bit of a neat freak/perfectionist and her friends like to tease her about being OCD. She's also more of the night owl type, so she stays up late working and survives on caffeine during the day. It isn't unusual to watch Lili's eyes flutter as they try to remain open when all they want to do is shut tightly together and not open for another fourteen hours. She prefers peace and quiet over loud and noisy atmospheres, although music is somehow counted in this category. She has a secret obsession with Jpop/Kpop. For someone who is so 'angelic' and absolutely abhors swearing, Lili doesn't have much of a problem with movie/video game violence as long as it's not too over the top. Bwah, ghost aren't real. Blood? Girls see blood all the time. Body parts flying everywhere, sigh, so not realistic. Or maybe it was the fact that when she was always sick, she would watch these horror movie marathons and got really used to them. Or her sister pulling pranks left and right when she was feeling moody.
Lili is always up for a good laugh, in part because she's had enough of being depressed. A childhood that was mostly regulated to being bedridden does that to you, makes you want to see more of the world, do more, interact more with others, just live freely. Watching all those movies, she wanted to be in them, an actress. It's her dream, alongside owning a stable. She loves animals, not including icky creepy crawlies, and talks to them like they understand her (which they obviously do, so shut up). Lili does have some issues being American born and bred but attending a Japanese University that interfere with understanding. She has a slight accent, which annoys her to no ends when people point it out. She must be perfect! Anyway, there's also the fact that she has like no friends here and that her older sister apparently was immensely popular. Suddenly, she can't help but be jealous and feel a little lonely. Lili really does not get along with mean people, for obvious reasons. They simply do not mix well, and contrary to what one may think due to her being such a fragile, cute girl, she'll completely go off on such people. They can all burn in Hell, and she'll be there, burying them with a shovel. Don't mess with Lili's friends, yo. Lastly, Lili purposely puts a barrier between herself and guys because she's honestly afraid of what being a girlfriend entails. She's never had a boyfriend before because she's been too sick/busy to consider even having one and is completely unsure of what she should do with one. How the heck do you kiss? Uh, er, hrm. Her sister likes teasing her about that as well.

Mother: Aimee Renee Mao (nee Perrotte)
Father: Jaw-long Kenshin Mao
Siblings: ____ Renee Mao (Older sister)
Home town: Some city in Southern California, now Radiant Gardens
Overview: Lili's father is half Japanese, half Chinese and American born. Her mother on the other hand is French Canadian and met her father when she studied abroad in the university Jaw-long went to in Southern California. They quickly fell in love and began to spend more and more time together even as the year began to draw to a close. When the time came for Aimee to return home, Jaw-long surprised her with a proposal. She was quick to accept and transferred for her final year. They were married at the end of their senior year despite an uncertain future with her father having a degree in Music Composition and her mother Dance. They struggled in the beginning to make ends meet each hoping for their breakthrough in their perspective fields. Five years later, Lili's father was a successful composer and her mother a backup dancer for many popular celebrities. It was also the time when Aimee soon realized she was pregnant with their first daughter. ____ Renee Mao became the focus of their lives. Another five years would pass before their second daughter was born, Lili Renee Mao.
Lili was the baby of the family, always small, delicate, and sickly. Her older sister wasn't sure whether to be envious of the attention Lili received or thankful that she herself was strong and athletic unlike her baby sister. Both girls were smart and quickly learned the languages of their mixed heritage: French, Japanese, Chinese, and English. However, while ____ found her talent in Tennis, Lili grew to enjoy acting. It was the feeling of escaping her life and breathing a new, interesting one that appealed to her much like books and video games. She could become anyone and anything she wanted too. Lili also spent much of her time with the family's horses, two gelding American Quarter Horses. She was especially fond of Robert and would spend many a day reading to him in the barn or trail riding at the local Equestrian Center. For her tenth birthday, she had also received a little white cat that she named Mew Mew who reminded her much of herself.
Soon, the time came for her older sister to go to college, and she picked KU in part because of the tennis scholarship. Lili would hear all of these stories from her sister, whom she seemed to become closer to over the phone than when they had lived in the same house, as did her parents. Lili was pleasantly surprised when an offer came from KU when it came her turn to pick her future school; it wasn't a full ride but her family wasn't poor, they just couldn't hope to afford such a pricey school by themselves. She accepted but requested that she be able to bring dear Robert with her. By this point, Robert was not as young as he once was, and so her parents instead decided they would allow her to pick a horse of her own. Satisfied in all aspects, Lili looks forward to her first year at Kingdom University with mixed feelings. Is it really as wonderful as her sister said?

Roleplay Sample: Silence. That was the creepy thing about this place. Not the dusty goblin masks hanging from pegs on the faded orange wall, their bulging eyes focused on some distant horizon. Not the tattered and dirty off-white sheets meant to resemble ghosts steadily crumbling into dust. Not the severed hands that played horror music if a person accidentally set one off. No, it was none of that. Even as the girl brushed up against a trick wire, sending skeletons into maniacal laughter and a dance worthy of Michael Jackson, she didn't even bat an eye. All she could think about was the fact that it was Halloween and nobody was visiting Drew's Costumerie for last minute costume shopping. Sure, the items were cruddy at best. But hey, they had all the deals and there was some pretty cool stuff if only you only looked hard enough!
Like that time she had come here searching for a pair of Minnie Mouse gloves to fit with her costume when she was just five years old, recently after her parent's divorce. That was when her Father had decided to move to Los Angeles, bringing his little princess along with him away from his crazy ex-wife. Drew Ways, at that time already seeming to be way past retirement with his corpse-like body and crinkly face, had carefully steered the red-headed princess to the Cartoon Aisle and adjusted a too-large pair of Mickey Mouse gloves. Throwing in a large pink polka-dot ribbon he had found in a cardboard box as an apology, Drew smiled his silver-and-yellow teeth at the little girl. "Bye, bye, Princess Minnie. Come back soon!" Her father quickly lifted the little girl high up on onto his broad shoulders protectively even as she giggled and waved. "Bye, bye, Mr. Dweeeeww!"
Of course, that was just an old memory. Very few people liked Drew Ways, and even if they did, fewer still cared to remember him. Almost a year ago he had finally retired, leaving Drew's Costumerie (he never did bother to change the name) to his nephew. Obviously, the younger Ways cared very little about his new piece of property. Drew's Costumerie fell into disuse, visited only by the most loyal and most desperate customers. This small group included Ariel Whitbread, though the teenage red-headed and gray-eyed Cheerleader of North Hollywood High School kept her strange habits a secret. Otherwise her popularity level would droop down close to the Zeroes. Ew. She couldn't stand being a nothing after middle school.
Ariel sighed softly, rolling her eyes up to the ceiling. She supposed the emptiness of the shop wasn't so creepy after all. More...melancholy. Sad. Even the spiders huddled close to one another, not daring to move except to snap up their prey or rebuild a lost piece of their web. Even if she wasn't a Nothing, Ariel was still a weird-o. Hah.
Peeling herself off of the cracked wall, she knew it was time to get going before Daddy turned bright red and exploded. He was the kind of father who could not stand letting his daughter go anywhere unless he knew right where she was, how long she would be there down to the exact minutes, and who would be with her. The last bit of the criteria was the most important one, Ariel knew by now to exclude a few of the bad boys' names and stress the names of several adults. Especially when it came to tonight's Halloween Party. Supposedly, all of Los Angeles who were 'sombodies' would be there. Supposedly was the key word. And Ariel Whitbread was most definitely a somebody. In fact, she was going to shine the brightest until 'Ariel' and 'Whitbread' were embedded into the minds of the awed audience. Yeah, she could be smug about that.
