It was just hitting eleven in the morning when Angel left for town square. Today was going to be her first day singing and playing her guitar in public. Since she refuses to carrying a heavy amp, she decided to bring her acoustic guitar instead. She held it to her side as she walked down the sidewalk. Her heart was pounding due to how anxious she was to play. She had played for her family multiple times, but she knew that nothing beats making a public appearance at town square to get noticed. Angel found a nice little spot and put her case down softly. She flipped the locks and opened it to show black accoustic guitar with angel wings on the front. Time to show what she was made of. She could already tell that her guitar was drawing attention which is exactly what she was wanting. She pulled the strap over her head and began to make some quick tuning. After the tuning was done, she slipped her pick out from her the strings and was to go. Despite wanting to have something original to play, she managed to bring something along that would work just fine. She worked day and night memorizing the lyrics and getting her playing in sync. Now to see what her practice has produced. She strummed it and and then began to play. "All that is near us, we must know. Could disappear any day, be careful. The main key to happiness lie nowhere else but in my soul!" Her strumming sped up and she began to lose her sense of reality and go into her music. "You could reminsce; you could recall. The very last time you felt joy or maybe you are blessed to a point where you can't remember anything!" Angel felt enveloped in her music and practically blocked anything of the world that could possibly break her concentration. "Its a harmony, a miracle; being able to breathe and live at all. So here is your one and only chance, life is an opportunity! Her playing got a little softer and then it began to get faster and soon it stopped. She strummed it slowly and continued to sing. "All this is near us, we must know. Could disappear any day so be careful. The main key..."[/I][/color] She strummed once. To happiness...lies...nowhere...but...in...my...SOUL!!" She played vigorously as she continued to keep the note of the last word going and then she strummed it once and stopped it. She breathed deeply and saw a lot of happy smiles around her giving her applause. You would think with all of the applause from her face that she'd be used to this. Her face turned red but smiled that it went well. She did feel quite exhausted. Maybe she should take a rest. As she laid her guitar down, she noticed a bunch of bills in her case. She picked them all up and began to count. When did this get here? It came up to fifty-three dollars. That's actually pretty good and she wasn't even playing for money. Maybe she should after getting this from her one performance. Angel stuffed it in her pocket and slid down on her rear to the concrete to rest.

~Enjoy the beat, there’s not much to it, so just enjoy this beat.~
'What a lovely day it is,' Lili thought with a contented smile as she tilted her face up to the baby blue sky like a flower seeking the Sun. Indeed, the Sun was up there too, and its light cascaded warmly down upon her bare arms. She giggled at the strange look a random passerby sent her way, sizing her up in one glance; she could care less. Here was some crazy, sickly looking young female with a thin crimson tank top that seemed to emphasize her skinny figure alongside her white skinny jeans. The people didn't matter, not at this moment anyway; it was just so nice to be out and about in the outdoors after a childhood locked up inside. Not that it had been her parents fault or anything, merely the troubles of this fragile body more delicate than china. Sometimes, she just couldn't help but be so envious of her big sister!
The brunette slid her fingers comfortably into the pockets of her jeans as she lowered her gaze to the ground. She wanted to take in the setting rather than the people present, breathing in the fresh air, only peering up through her thick lashes every so often. Now that she thought of it, she should have brought along her ipod so that she could listen to music while she walked around town. Darn! A small snack would have been nice too...
"All that is near us, we must know. Could disappear any day, be careful. The main key to happiness lies nowhere else but in my soul!" Lili halted suddenly, annoying yet another passerby in the process, as she curiously twisted her head in the direction of the music. What a lovely voice! She had to hear more. Her footsteps moved her in the right direction almost unconsciously, entranced by the quiet confidence and pure enjoyment the singer/guitarist possessed. The girl soon found herself staring at another girl, one with short green hair and matching brilliant green eyes. Judging by the other girl's expression, she wasn't paying attention to anything except for the music. Lili couldn't help but want to capture this moment with a camera, it just seemed so picturesque, with the perfect setting, beautiful music, and a pretty girl. Oh, and the crowd too! Surely the other girl would want to remember something like this.
The song seemed to finish all too soon, and Lili found herself applauding enthusiastically alongside the rest of the crowd. But like the dam had broken, the crowd parted ways leaving the brunette standing by herself. Didn't they want to stick around for another song? After all, breaks weren't that long...oh well.
She took the initiative to walk up to the singer, plopping down next to her without hesitation. "Hey," she began with a small, natural smile, "hope you don't mind if I sit here. That was amazing! Are you signed to Platform Fire Records or something?" Lili couldn't help but wince a little at the way her words came out; her Japanese was still a tad rusty. "Oh, I'm Lili Mao by the way." Her name came almost like an afterthought, not nearly as important as expressing her thoughts on the other girl's delightful music.
~Turn it up, turn the volume up louder.~

She sat there pondering if she should do one or two more songs or leave it at that. Her stomach began to growl loudly. Ah that's right, Angel forgot to eat before bolting out of the house. Maybe a quick meal would help regain some energy to play.
If she even played more, what would she play? She knew a lot of MCR(My Chemical Romance), which is what she's been listening to a lot recently. But would people even want to hear it? Sure they were awesome but not a lot of adults take fancy to their music. Eh they can either listen or walk. Maybe she'd do her favorite song by them next. Angel would have to look up the lyrics and read it over again just to make sure she remembered it. She could play it, but she needed the lyrics too.
As she was scrolling through the lyrics, a girl with long brunette hair plopped beside her. Was she in the crowd? Angel suspected she was or she would be so eager to sit by her. She mentioned on if it was okay if she could sit here. "It's cool." She then asked if she was part of Platform Fire or some other company. Angel never really thought about trying to getting a record company's attention. Maybe she should do that. "Nah I'm not part of anything yet. I'm just a freelance right now." Maybe finding a company wouldn't be such a bad idea. Would they still let her continue school? They better or she's going to be an unhappy girl. "Oh I'm Lili Mao by the way." Lili huh? She could tell this girl was interested in her playing earlier. "Well nice to meet you Lili. I'm Angel." She grinned and she felt her stomach growling again. She really needs to get some food soon. A musician can't play well on an empty stomach!
