~Too much light in this window, don't wake me up.~

It was with great reluctance Lili dressed herself on this particular Wednesday morning into a cozy ice blue sweater with a kitty printed on the front and black skinny jeans. She sat on her bed, bleary eyed, as her head swam full of colors. Her thoughts went something like this, 'Oh how I loathe Wednesdays...being right smack in the middle of the week and all. At least they're better than Mondays...mmm. Coffee...coffee. I need coffee. Like...unicorns. Haha...'

...wait a second, what had she been doing? Shaking her head vigorously as if to get rid of an annoying fly, the brunette ended up with several strands of long chocolate brown hair in her eyes and mouth. "Pfft, I can't function without coffee in the mornings." Everything was kind of blurry after that except for flashes, like when she ended up putting the right shoe of her black leather boots on her left foot, or when she tried to brush her hair with a blow dryer, or even when she just stood behind her door, staring, until the Hello Kitty watch she was wearing began to sing. Ack, couldn't be late to class!

It wasn't until she slid into her seat just in time that she remembered she had forgotten to pick up some caffeine along the way. Damnit. She just knew she was going to be useless in class today, fall asleep, or at least drift in and out of awareness. Was the boring English classroom so colorful before, because right now red filled the otherwise white canvas. Or maybe that was the dragon? Did dragons take English? Well, she certainly would be better than the dragon. English was so easy! It was...mzzz, easy as pie. The brunette sucked in a deep breath, still lost in her fantasy as her head tipped dangerously downwards. Her eyes were half-lidded as the Professor's boring voice filled her mind, seeping into the cracks, and pretty much ensuring her downfall. Not good.

A little warning went off in the back of Lili's mind and her eyes snapped open quickly, hands moving to anxiously rub at them in an attempt to stay awake. Right, she had to do her little habit thing of constantly moving her toes. And notes, notes! Take notes to stay awake! But gosh, did that clock move slowly. Her pencil made scratching noises along the lined paper, the majority of it nothing more than complete nonsense. It went from "make sure to pay special attention to the adjective because" to "and that's cool because I ain't got no man." She would stare at these strange sentences that were part doomed brain and a story just wanting to be formed with mild interest. But, um, she really should be focusing. She wouldn't want the dragon to eat her! But were dragons really evil like they were in most stories, or were they simply misunderstood?

Lili moved to form a long beard with her fingers and the air, stroking it wisely, except for the fact that she was not exactly sitting upright and both of her hands were splayed out on the desk. Oh gosh, this was embarrassing! She could feel a blush stain her cheeks red as she realized she had ended up with her head on the girl next to her's personal desk space. Outwardly calm, but inwardly panicking like a freak, the brunette settled herself normally. There was nothing like a little bit of shock to act like caffeine, right? "Um, sorry, I guess I drifted off there for a little bit." She laughed quietly, careful not to disturb anyone else as she forced her eyes to focus on the other girl. It was difficult: she really needed caffeine.

AJ's morning began rather uneventful when she got up. After cleaning up her dorm room, she took a shower and set out about her regular morning routine of getting ready. She packed up her bag with the necessary notebooks, textbooks, and writing utensils she would need for the day as well as her tablet computer.

She set out from her Van Ess, closing her eyes and enjoying the feel of the crisp fall atmosphere while most students dragged themselves around campus. When she arrived in the English wing of the Golisano building, she quickly located her room and sat down. Busying herself with unpacking, she couldn't help but awe at the different details of the classroom from the blocky plaster walls to the overhead projecter and the cold desks and chairs.

Today was AJ's very first classroom experience unlike the students who had probably spent the majority of their life in one. The professor, a grizzly old man, arrived right on the dot and after a quick introduction and the syllabus, he began to drone on about adjectives.

The raven-haired teen took careful notes, wrapped up so much in the lesson, that she did not notice the wavering girl next to her until she felt the pressure on her shoulder. Azure eyes blinked and glanced over to see a head against her arm.

AJ shot the girl a puzzled look when she said she must have dozed off, but quickly turned back to the teacher before he could notice her inattention.

The teacher droned on for the next half hour and finally released the weary bunch of students. As AJ packed up, she couldn't help but glance over at the girl and wing an eyebrow at her. "Uhm, are you okay?" she asked. The question may have sounded a bit harsh or sarcastic, but the girl was acting a little strange.
