AJ walked briskly to class, an unusual amount of hop and skip to her step. She was on her way to her first music class. Her love for music had followed her from the time she was about 7 years old and had stayed with her ever since, especially her love for the guitar.
She loved sleek texture of the guitar and the bristle of the vibration of the strings under her fingers. So of course she was naturally excited about her Music Appreciation class, although she wondered how someone could teach her to appreciate music anymore than she already did.
The raven-haired teen arrived to class about ten minutes early and found a seat at the front of the classroom, which was strange for her as she never liked to be in front of anything. Being the enthusiastic student she was, she promptly removed her book and notebook, getting ready to take notes.
Eventually, the class began to fill with other students and finally about five minutes late a man stumbled into the room, grasping to hold onto the music sheets and CD player in his hands.
"I'm so sorry class. I had to find the right CDs for todays class.
The harried teacher quickly handed out syllabi, then set out to putting a CD in the CD player. When he clicked the play button, Beethovon's Fifth Symphony filtered through the speakers and filled the room.
AJ's expression fell a bit as the teacher talked about the various pieces of music they would analyze, including many classical pieces. Having classical music crammed into her skull most of her young life, she was pretty sure she had developed enough of a taste for classical. She let out a silent groan and leaned her cheek against her palm as the class began.
