Why was the girl in this place? Well, she didn't rightly know she just heard the music as she was passing by and decided to take a peek at what was going on. Paying the entrance fee on the door she was let in simply because she looked old enough and then with that she strolled in.
Amethyst eyes lit up at all the lights in the dark of the place and the sheer amount of people in the place made her worry.
A light squeaking noise came from her as she tried to back out but instead was pushed forwards in to the fray of the dance floor byt two rather large men who were behind her at the time. Now she was stranded. Slowly she edged her way through the crowds towards the bar. Scooting back to a far off corner she blinked a few times eyes darting around as they became teary.
She swallowed before finally turning to the bar tender and very very quietly ordered a glass of fresh orange juice. He asked her if she wanted vodka with it and since she had no idea what it was? She nodded, figuring it'd be something that was simply nice with the orange.
Sitting there in the corner quietly she realized now that she probably looked odd. A short white dress that was strapless and fell to her mid-thighs and strappy high heels. Sitting there she crossed one leg over the other as she tried to keep to herself.
Her peace didn't last for long.
Before long someone came and sat beside her and she'd just finished her vodka and orange, she actually found she liked the taste of the stuff, though it did taste a little... Odd to her. They bought her another drink and tried to engage her in conversation, that didn't go so well, all they got were stammers and very silent answers. Timid and shy she thanked them for the drink before she tried to slip away to a more secluded part of the club. However she ended up with that same person following her and asking her to dance with them.
Feeling it would be rude to decline, she slowly followed them to the dance floor and joined in though she felt rather uncomfortable and when she brushed against someone else she bolted right back to the bar. Squeaking and now staying to the corner the pink haired wall-flower decided that perhaps she should just keep her gaze on the floor and stay away from people now till the place emptied a little. If she just kept to herself no one would notice her, and she'd be left alone.
Or... So she hoped...

It kills me not to know this
but I've all but just forgotten,
Terra sighed lightly as he took a sip of his beer, only his second on the night. He had come to the club earlier in hopes of unwinding after a long day of teaching and dealing with students and every once in a while he enjoyed coming to the club as away of remember what it was like for him when he was a student. On occasion he would spot one or two students but he apparently looked different in his "street" clothes and without his glasses. Either way he did his best to avoid them in hopes of not having any rumors started around the campus of KU.
As he turned looked around the bar he spotted a rather odd looking individual, at least odd in the sense that she didn't seem to have any idea what she had just gotten herself into. She looked like she'd never seen the inside of a club and upon closer inspection she looked like she was rather freaked out. Terra chuckled lightly to himself as he took another sip of beer and watched a man begin to hit on the girl. He shook his head and couldn't help but laugh as he wondered what would happen next. For his own amusement he kept an eye on the two and eventually saw them hit the dance floor.
He shook his head as he watched the now uncomfortable girl brush up against someone and bolt to the corner of the bar. At this point Terra began to recognize her, even if it were just in passing. She was a student at KU and a rather timid one at that. She wasn't the type to come to a place like this and from the looks of it she didn't mean to. Terra quickly finished his beer, payed the bartender and as he saw the man who had been dancing with Solaris storming back towards her he quickly moved and intercepted him. Terra had a good 2 inches on the man and was more athletic than him. On top of this Terra had that face on that screamed "Don't even try it" and the man backed off without a word.
He sighed lightly as his face softened and he turned to walk towards the scared girl. As he walked up to her he smiled gently and put out his hand to her. "Hey, you seem to be lost... What do you say I help you get outta here and back to campus... Name's Terra by the way..." With that he nodded and made sure to give off a non-threatening aura and keep his smile kind, as he was not looking for anything other than to help her get out.

Now as she sat there in the corner she let her gaze flick around only to spot the man who'd pretty much dragged her to the dance floor, though a rather tall brunette got in the way and she wondered if he'd said something. She wouldn't have been able to say no if that person had come back, she didn't have it in her to do it. It seemed however that she now had a sort of... Bodyguard? Perhaps, or maybe a rescuer would be more precise. Either way he scared the other person away and she just watched in awe. How she wished she could do that when she got scared. Instead she just freaked out and squeaked.
Now she watched as the brunette started towards her! A pang of panic entered her as she made herself as small as possible. Scooting riiiiight back and shrinking in to that corner. Though he smiled at her and she watched as he stuck his hand out in her direction. She blinked a few times, large violet eyes shifting to his face.
"Hey, you seem to be lost... What do you say I help you get outta here and back to campus... Name's Terra by the way..." He nodded to her and slowly but surely she took that hand but she didn't let go. Instead she just slid off her seat. Maybe this guy was nice, maybe he wasn't going to be like other people and try to force her to do things that she didn't want too do.
"Th-Thank you.... That.... That would be nice... I-I-I'm Solaris... Sorry... I.... I stutter and stammer a lot.." The voice was meek and quiet, though there was a squeak here and there and her free hand moved gripping the man's hand in both of her own. Now? She just stuck as close to him as she possibly could.
All because she was horribly afraid of everything else in the place.
"Um... I... Didn't mean to come in here... I... Was just curious... I heard the music and then regretted walking in after I got through the doors... I'm... Well... I'm not so good with large crowds... Or small ones... Or just crowds in general. Sorry again if I'm being a hassle... I didn't mean to ruin your evening." Politeness, manners, appologies, they all came hand in hand with this little woman. It was something that was in-built, she didn't think the man was a teacher at her college that was for sure. If anything? She thought he might be one of the students that went there. Clinging to his arm she now waited for him to lead the way. She was going to follow and stay silent the entire time. Unless she was spoken to in which case she'd try her best to answer whatever questions and such he might have.

It kills me not to know this
but I've all but just forgotten,
Terra couldn't help but smile at the young girl. She was stunning and this had to be one of the first times he caught himself actually looking at a student and not thinking about school. She was beautiful and had an innocince about her that he rarely saw anymore. He sighed lightly as he looked for the best way out of the club and once he plotted his course he smiled at Solaris. "Solaris, that's a nice name. Nice to meet you. Don't worry, I was actually getting bored of this place as it is so I'm not going to complain about getting out of here."
With that Terra, noticing the girls fear as she pressed in close to him, put his arm around her and pulled her close. He began to scan the room once more and soon began to move towards the door. He spotted the other man at one point and noticed his anger as the man began to approach. Terra shot him a look, a glare that wasn't normally seen on his face, and instantly the man backed down. Terra shook his head and continued to the door until finally they were back out on the street. Once clear of the club he took his arm from around her but let her keep herself wrapped on his arm.
He looked down at her for a moment and smiled once more before walking down the street back towards the school. "There we go... Some fresh air. I'm sure you'll be fine now but don't worry... I'll walk you back so you don't have to worry about anyone following you. You have my word that I'll protect you until we get you home." For some reason Terra found himself wondering why he was doing this. To some degree he tried to write it of as his being a teacher and wanting to protect students but she wasn't even in any of his classes. He couldn't rationalize it in any way so instead of trying to he just wrote it off as him being a really nice guy.

He was smiling at her and so she just closed her eyes tilted her head and smiled right back at him. Considering he scared her at first? She was actually relaxing because he seemed like a good person.
"Solaris, that's a nice name. Nice to meet you." A giggle as he complimented her name.
"Don't worry, I was actually getting bored of this place as it is so I'm not going to complain about getting out of here." Though now he seemed to notice that she wasn't very comfortable with the place and she felt an arm around her. She flinched then her eyes widened after that her cheeks lit up in a rather deep red. She wondered if he'd be able to see it in the darkness of the club, if he did then what would he say about it? Ignoring it would probably be the best option.
A smile as she was being lead out, though when she looked up to Terra he was glaring at someone and she felt her eyes shift to the direction. That person! She should appologise! This was all her fault and now she'd caused trouble. A strong pang of guilt flooded her entire being before she just kept walking as Terra steered her out of the club and out of harms way.
A sudden chill ran down her spin as the arm was removed from around her and a slight feeling of dissapointment washed over her not that she'd say anything about it, her hands slipped from his arm letting him go. Now the man started walking again. She took a few quick, light steps to catch up and then walked right beside him hands went right back to his arm so that she didn't lose him. It was more a way of feeling safe than anything she didn't want to be out here alone, not now after being stuck in there.
"There we go... Some fresh air. I'm sure you'll be fine now but don't worry... I'll walk you back so you don't have to worry about anyone following you. You have my word that I'll protect you until we get you home."
"Thank you... Thank you so much..." Amethyst colored eyes lifted to Terra's face and he was offered the warmest, most gentle smile that Solaris could muster.
"I feel.... Bad for causing problems... I... I didn't mean to... I swear I didn't mean to... I'm-I'm so sorry for being a burden...." Oh there we go she was starting to panic again though this time? Her face was flushing almost as pink as her hair and she was starting to shake. Taking a deep breath she started to hum a melody. A few moments after she'd started she stopped and took a breath.
"There much better. Humming stops me from being so... Skittish around people... Sorry again..." She needed to be told to stop appologizing, it was just in her nature to appologise incase she hurt someone by mistake, sensitive to peoples feelings and actions. Always trying to do the right thing even if she didn't want to do what was asked of her. Easily manipulated and naive, maybe she really did need to be protected because she was her own worst enemy.
