Your Name: Leon Characters Used: Sora, Lenne, Rune, Riku, Vanitas, Namine, Atsuko, Jennifer, Aqua, Tore-n, Texia, Adelaide Word Count: 5,084 Quick Synopsis: Vacationing at the beach is fun, but when the death of a friend occurs who will be there to put the pieces together? The Story:
Beach Blood
The rain was falling down on the brittle sand as the world seemed to become darker. A figure on the ground lay motionless as a few hands came to take the body away. The lights of the ambulance illuminated the faces of those around the body. Some scared, some confused. A boy without a care in the world just stood there in shock as he saw the girl’s body leave the scene. Was he going to be alright? Who killed this poor woman? Tension seemed to be the main factor in the atmosphere as a figure away from the group stared on in the shadows. These people, who came from different parts of the world and with different personalities now, had something in common. A body filled with water and a beach full of blood.
Chapter One: Taking a Break
It was that time of year again when school had let out. Students flocked to their favorite places visiting friends or meeting long lost family members or just enjoying the time they had to themselves. Sora Hiroaki was a college freshman enjoying his first summer off from school. He had a weird year as many events seemed to cause him to be in very awkward moments. He was going to be vacationing at a beach resort with his mother this year and he was very happy for it. To be spending time with his mother in a place where both of them could relax and escape the world they knew would be a great feeling. When he got home though he found out his mother wanted to give him some independence so she gave him his plane tickets, luggage, money, and instructions on what to do once he gets to the beach. Sora was going to be vacationing alone for once and it would definitely be a vacation to remember.
Chapter Two: Fun with Rooms
When Sora had arrived at his location he had made sure to follow his mother’s instructions to the dot. Of course this didn’t stop him from looking at all the beautiful scenery and admiring the beach. His hotel was called The Kinen Hotel. It was a marvelous site to behold twelve stories of about twelve rooms to a floor. When Sora entered through the automatic double doors he was greeted with the aroma of freshly baked cookies. To his left was a small sitting area with a few magazines, the sofa and chairs each with a look that made them seem like they were comfortable. Sora had to try it out so he went over to a chair and sat down. His body sunk into the chair and he sighed in comfort, he wished he could just sit in this chair forever, but he was sadly interrupted as a man in a white suit came and asked him if his name was Sora. “Ummm…. Yes I’m Sora….Sora Hiroaki. My mother reserved a room for me here.” Sora got up from his chair when he said this so he could look at the man with a bit more respect. The man directed Sora to the front desk where after checking him in on the computer he gave Sora his card key. Sora took the key and went on his way to find his room.
He rode the elevator up to the twelfth floor and walked down the long hallway to the twelfth door. He looked around and saw that he had only one neighbor and he was hoping that they wouldn’t be too loud so he could relax. He entered his card key and opened the door to see his room. The room was filled with the basics of any hotel room a desk, a queen size bed, a lamp, a TV, and a restroom. Sora felt very comfortable to be in this room by himself, so he decided this would be a great time to unpack. He walked over to his closet and started to hang his clothes up in a nice and somewhat tidy fashion. When he was finished he stored away his luggage bags and decided to look out the window real quick. Sora opened the blinds and saw to his astonishment he had a great view of the ocean. He could see miles of water as the waves would beat on the sand that seemed to be so close to him. He could see figures of people playing in the water and others playing in the sand. This was going to be a great vacation and Sora was very happy to be here.
As Sora continued to look at the beach he heard a clank from behind him and when he turned around he saw the door to his room open. In the doorway was a familiar face from his college a boy by the name of Riku. “What are you doing here Riku?” Sora asked as he stared with a blank expression at his friend. Riku told Sora that he had won a room in this hotel in a contest. Sora thought it was weird that his mother would rent a room for him to be with someone else he knew, but he didn’t question it too much as he could now hang out with Riku. “So where would you be sleeping then?” Sora asked Riku as he looked around the room. There was only one bed and no couch for someone to crash on so Sora just thought Riku would sleep on the floor, but when Riku explained they would be sharing a bed Sora slightly blushed. He had never shared a bed with anyone else before and to be sharing it with Riku that would be awkward, but then again it wasn’t like he didn’t trust Riku at least he was better than Tore-n. Sora agreed with sleeping accommodations and told Riku he would be going to the beach. Sora went to the bathroom and changed into his swimwear. When he finished he took a towel he brought with him for the beach and headed off.
Chapter Three: Bumming the Beach
Sora had reached the beach and it was just as beautiful as it was when he saw if from his room. The warm sand seemed to shine in the sunlight as many footprints have worn into it. The calm and peaceful sounding waves of the ocean just beating across the sand made this even more beautiful. Sora walked around the beach for a while before finding the perfect place to sit down and relax. The warm sun started to beat on his face as he basked in its warmth, but it wasn’t long before his relaxation ended. Somehow someone kicked sand into Sora’s face and he sputtered trying to get the taste out of his mouth. Who was the person that did that to him? Sora looked around to see if he could find the person and he did see someone running off away from his direction someone with black spiky hair. Sora didn’t recognize this person so he thought it was local person just being rude to a tourist. Sora went back to his sun bathing, but was a bit more aware of his surroundings now. He saw a girl who looked older than him, but still was beautiful. She had said something to someone who looked younger than her and when she said he was the best boyfriend ever Sora couldn’t believe those two were together. To Sora they seemed they might fit of a more just a friend’s relationship than a dating one.
Sora wanted to say something, but before he could do that the voices appeared. A little white angel and a red devil appeared on his shoulders. The white angel was named Namine and she was the quiet good natured one while the red devil was named Atsuko and she was a nasty bitch. “You should go over there and tell that girl she should go out with you instead,” Spoke the devil pointing at the couple with a fierce look, but the angel wouldn’t stand for this and said calmly, “No, respect those around you and leave them alone so they can enjoy their vacation.” The two shoulder people started to get in an argument and this confused Sora to the point of breaking under pressure. He yelled at them to stop telling him what to do and this made people stare at him. The couple in the distance heard him and the girl being who she was walked over to see what was wrong. When she got to Sora she recognized him immediately and responded, “Sora! I didn’t know you would be vacationing here too!” The girl was Lenne a student at Kingdom University. She was a senior there, but she hadn’t graduated just yet so she was spending the summer with her boyfriend Rune. She sat down next to Sora and asked him if he was here alone to which he said yes. The two got into a conversation about soccer as Rune was left to sit with them silently. Time flew by and it was time to go as Lenne and Rune left to go to their hotel room leaving poor Sora all alone on the beach. Riku never showed up to the beach which upset Sora somewhat since he was hoping to hang with his friend, but they are sharing a room so it’s not like they won’t see each other. So deciding it was time to call it quits Sora got up and left the beach.
Chapter Four: Hotel’s Mystery
When Sora had reached the hotel he heard from the manager that there was going to be a storm brewing soon so it would be best if he went back to his room. Sora was confused by this so he asked why, but the manager didn’t respond and left to care for someone else. “It’s probably because of the curse,” said a voice coming from the sitting area. A girl in a white dress was sitting down on the couch by herself looking out of the window waiting for the rain to fall. “What do you mean curse?” Sora asked somewhat frightened at the idea he was living in a possibly haunted hotel. “There is a legend that goes around every year that during a storm a person wonders the halls looking for their room. This room of course doesn’t exist anymore ever since the hotel was burned down about ten years ago.” The girl looked at Sora with eye’s that could hypnotize. “This figure carries a curse that if someone were to touch them or see their eyes they would die in two days. Of course no one has ever seen this figure before so it is safe to assume it is just a myth.” The girl got up and walked over to Sora and introduced herself, “I’m Texia….if you ever need to hear more about this place I’m in room 904.” She then walked away towards the elevator and waved at him with a smile that would make anyone feel awkward.
Sora was stunned as he stood there for a few minutes only to be brought back to the world by a hand that was placed on his shoulder. Sora jumped in reaction and turned around to see who it was. Sora’s face went pale as he saw Tore-n standing right in front of him. He ran to the elevator, but Tore-n caught up to him just in time and got on with him. Tore-n pushed the seventh floor button and the elevator went up. There was an awkward silence as the two shared the elevator ride to the seventh floor. When the doors opened Sora was expecting Tore-n to say something, but he didn’t he just left the elevator and went off to his room. Sora was confused as he saw Tore-n’s figure leave his sight with the closing of the elevator doors. He stood there stunned once again as the elevator went up to the twelfth floor where surprisingly enough Riku had been on. Riku was just about to go to the beach, but Sora explained how a storm was coming so Riku and Sora decided to go back to their room.
Later that night Sora decided he was hungry so he was going to go find somewhere to eat. When he awoke it was still raining outside which meant he would either have to find a vending machine or brave the storm and run to the nearest twenty four hour café. He got dressed and left his room making sure not to wake Riku in the process. When he got in the elevator he noticed something he never saw before. There was a thirteenth floor to this place. Feeling adventurous he decided to go check it out and rode the elevator up. When he got there he saw that it was quiet and that the carpeting looked a lot older than on his floor. He felt like he might be in an old scary movie set as he walked round the halls. He found himself eventually looking at the rooms and saw that there were also thirteen rooms here unlike his floor. A bit confused he stared at room thirteen for the longest time when someone grabbed his wrist suddenly. He jumped again thinking it was Tore-n once more, but it was actually Lenne. Relived Sora asked, “What are you doing here?” Lenne looked confused when he asked her that and she said, “That’s what I was going to ask you!” The two explained their reasons for being here and Lenne being a bit assertive said, “I want you to go back to your room the Manager has told all customers to stay in their room!” Sora asked, “Then why are you out?” Lenne sighed before responding with, “The manager is my uncle and he asked me to help make sure people like you didn’t wander the halls during a storm. Now if you would please go back to your room.” Sora looked at Lenne and agreed so he went to the elevator and rode it back down to his floor.
Lenne now stood in the hall of the thirteenth floor by herself and as she stared to go back to her own room she heard a noise of rusting feet. She then saw a figure at the end of the hall and raced over to them to tell them to return. The figure didn’t respond though it just continued walking so Lenne grabbed the figure’s wrist and tried to pull them to the elevator, but they wouldn’t budge. The figure then looked at Lenne and the two stared each other down as they both tried to go opposite directions. Lenne gave up though she decided it wasn’t worth her time to help this person out and went back to her own room. When she left the floor the figure went to room thirteen and touched the number plate which then started to bleed.
Chapter Five: Fallen Singer
Sora and the residents of the hotel lived each day with fun trying activates and enjoying the beach. Not much happened until two days later. Sora and Riku went off to the beach together to have some fun in the sun. The day was beautiful and lots of people were enjoying the great weather. Lenne and Rune splashed around in the water, Texia sat down under an umbrella reading her favorite book, Tore-n was even there luckily he was asleep, and last but not least another girl was there. This girl seemed out of place compared to the rest of them or at least to Sora she did. She stood on the beach staring at the ocean as if waiting for something to happen. Sora stared at the girl for a few seconds before returning to what was going on with Riku. Riku had sat down on the sand and started to make a sand castle. He was doing pretty well, but he needed more help so he asked Sora to fill a bucket with water. Sora took the bucket Riku brought and went to the water and as he filled it up he saw out of the corner of his eye something that seemed weird. There was blood in the water, but how did it get there? Sora then looked all around and it seemed the water around them had turned red and before he could process this image he head a scream that made his hair stand on ends. He looked over to where the scream came from and saw Lenne’s floating body in the water. Sora was shocked to see her body immobile and he wasn’t the only one it seemed like they all couldn’t move that is except Rune. He was filled with many different kinds of emotions as he tried to yell at Lenne hoping that she would be alive. Sora couldn’t handle what was going on and as the people stared on the rain started to fall.
Eventually the girl who had been staring out at the ocean called an ambulance. They got there about five minutes later and they took the body away. The people just stood there wondering what had happened and how. Rune now showed his true colors he pointed at three people in the group; Tore-n, the girl who made the phone call, and Sora. Those three besides Rune were the closest to Lenne location wise and he wanted to see if they knew anything. Rune interviewed them one by one. Sora eventually found out the girl who he had seen staring was named Adelaide, but this didn’t matter right now. Who killed Lenne and how did they do it? These were the questions that buzzed though Rune’s head as he tried fitting each person’s stories into play, but no matter what he thought of it seemed like none of those three knew any more than he did. Rune decided to let them go, but he told them he would be keeping an eye on them so they better not do anything suspicious. Sora and the other left the police station and when they got outside they noticed it was already dark. The day may have been destroyed by the death of Lenne, but it seemed the world itself was still intact as the starts seemed to brighten the night sky.
All of Sora’s woes seemed to disappear as he looked at the stars and even though he didn’t notice him at first Riku was also there staring. “It is a beautiful sight isn’t it?” Riku asked Sora in a kind and gentle voice. “Yeah….It makes it feel like nothing could disturb the world.” Sora was talking rather worldly considering who he was. Riku stared at Sora, “Sora?” “Yes Riku?” “Would you like to go on a walk on the beach?” Riku asked Sora with a slight blush on his cheek. “Of course, I would do anything for you.” Sora said with a cheerful goofy smile. The two then walked on the beach close to the water avoiding the area where the death had occurred. As they walked Riku wanted to brave something he took his hand and placed it in Sora’s hand. Sora looked at Riku and trusting him left his hand to be held by Riku. The two walked for a few hours together before returning to their room. The figure had appeared once again though and it followed their path leaving the same foot prints they had left before it.
Chapter Six: The White Clue
When Sora had woken up the next morning he was alerted that all customers were not allowed to leave the hotel. Apparently Rune was putting everyone on house arrest so he could find the killer to Lenne. Sora felt sad for Rune he knew that Rune was dating Lenne, but he had no clue how much he loved her. Following the orders he was given by the manager he went to hang out with the girl he talked to a few days ago. She was sitting in the same chair as she was last time and still looked out of the window. She was a strange thing that’s for sure. Sora sat with her and looked at her wondering what she was thinking when suddenly she started to speak. “It’s a terrible thing,” She said looking out the window with a vacant like stare. “What do you mean?” Sora asked very confused. “Lenne, her death was in no way an accident.” She turned her head and looked at Sora, “Could it be the legend of the cursed hallway?” “Wait! Are you saying that legend is true?” Sora didn’t think anything about this curse before, but could it really be true? “It is possible. I have never looked into it myself though,” replied Texia as she thought about it for a moment. Just then Rune appeared behind them and asked, “Curse? What Curse?” Texia was the one to answer first, “There is a legend that says this hotel is cursed. When it was burned down ten years ago a figure seems to haunt the halls at night during a storm. If you should touch it or look it into the eyes you’re doomed to die within two days. The legend doesn’t tell much of anything else though.” Texia stared at Rune with her eyes still the same as it has always been. Sora didn’t think this information would prove useful to Rune, but boy was he wrong. Rune took a few notes on a notepad and left them saying, “Thank you.” Sora looked back from Rune and Texia with an even greater confused face than normal, but he decided to ignore it and continue what was left of his vacation.
The next day it started to storm again and Sora being a bit adventures again decided to explore the hotel once again. He went into the elevator and saw that the thirteenth floor button was lit up. Was someone going up? Sora then looked at the elevator and its occupants and saw Rune standing there. Rune stared Sora down with a suspicious gaze before asking, “Are you going up?” Sora felt nervous around Rune. He did reply with a very stuttered, “Yes” They rode the elevator to the thirteenth floor and the hall looked just as Sora remembered it. Rune was the first to step out as he started to examine everything here. He even started to question why it was in such a poor state and why it didn’t seem like anyone roomed here anymore. Sora just watched Rune as he did his investigation wondering himself these same things. He didn’t pay much attention last time to it and then it hit him he was stopped by Leene when he was up here before. “Rune I think Lenne was up here before.” Sora said with a slight scared voice. Rune looked back at Sora and asked him a series of questions pertaining from what happened last time Sora was here. Sora of course told him everything that happened and how he was forced to return to his room by her. Rune then asked him if Lenne followed him back to his room, but Sora said no. There was nothing else Rune could do at this moment as the dots in his head wouldn’t connect. About to give-up for the night Rune was going to tell Sora to go back to his room when he suddenly saw something from the corner of his eye, a figure in the distance and a suspicious one at that. “STOP!” yelled Rune as he darted forward after the figure leaving Sora to stand in his spot.
Stunned Sora stayed put and not long after it seemed Rune had returned with what looked like a hat in his hand. “Whoever dropped this must have a connection to the crime,” said Rune thinking aloud. Sora looked at Rune puzzled and then asked, “How does a hat link someone to a crime?” Rune looked at Sora and then said, “Because this floor doesn’t exist. This is in fact the Hotel’s curse at work and apparently someone besides the staff and their family know about this is suspicious.” Rune examined the hat some more and pulled out a piece of hair and put it in a small tube. “With any luck this will tell us who that person was and if they have any connection to the crime.” Rune was eager to find and capture his love’s killer and Sora could feel it. Rune then told Sora he should go to bed for the night and not wanting to displease a cop Sora did as he was told.
Final Chapter: Burn
When Sora woke up next morning it was to a knocking at his door. He got up and checked to see who it was to see it was the Manager. “The inspector would like to see you downstairs in the lobby,” said the manager. Sora nodded and got dressed before departing for the lobby. When he got there a few people besides the inspector was there; the manager, Texia, Adelaide, Tore-n, and a woman he didn’t know. He had a feeling as to why the other four were there, but that blue haired woman looked out of place to him. When he joined the group he saw Rune sitting in a chair that looked like it was brought in from somewhere else. Sora stared at Rune for a few seconds before asking, “You called for me?” Rune gently nodded at Sora before getting up to pace. There was a pause in his steps every now and then as if he was going to say something, but he didn’t. Finally Rune spoke, “The case of Lenne’s murder has been solved.” Rune then took his finger and pointed at a near-by pillar, “Would you come out from behind there?” When he said this everyone looked at the pillar to see if there was someone there. A woman appeared wearing a trench cape. The woman looked pretty in her clothes, but she had an air of herself that made her seem as if she was scared. Rune looked at the woman before saying, “You’re under arrest for the murder of Lenne Kashu.” There was a gasp as people seemed to be confused on how she could have killed Lenne. Sora looked from Rune to the woman who was being placed in handcuffs. He was confused he was pretty sure she wasn’t at the beach when Lenne died so how?
After a few minutes of placing the woman in a cop car and sending her off to the station Sora looked at Rune and asked, “How did she do it?” Rune looked at him with a smile and chuckled slightly. “You see I was stumped myself that is until Texia told me about the legend of the hotel. Then when I went to investigate it further I found out about the floor that appeared only when it stormed which is where I met you in the elevator.” Rune pulled out a zip locked bag from his pockets apiece of the hat he picked up, “This was found on that floor where no was supposed to even be and there was a single strand of hair on it. I took it to a lab to see if I could get a DNA match and it matched that woman. Now connecting her to the crime was a bit harder. You had told me you had been up there two days before with Lenne. Let us say the curse about the figure is true then Lenne would have had to have touched or seen the eyes of this figure. I figured that Lenne had to have touched her because when the body was examined Lenne somehow had a strand of hair on her that wasn’t hers. How that strand of hair stayed on her body I could not tell you why, but when tested it matched the hair of that woman. Intrigued by this I decided to look up the history of both that woman and the hotel. About ten years ago the hotel had burned down and most of the members of a family died except a little girl who had been playing in the lobby with another child. The girl then was sent to an orphanage where she lived the rest of her life there. At the age of eighteen she left the orphanage and came back here to see that the hotel was rebuilt and became a very loyal customer here. She eventually started the legend about the curse and scared off many customers who didn’t like this type of thing, but she also encouraged more people to come to the hotel to explore the curse.” Rune took a deep breath before continuing, “Eventually she started to dabble into the dark arts and made the curse real. During a storm a thirteenth floor would appear and would be accessible by elevator only, but it appeared shabby and worn out making people avoid the area if they ever came across it. She would walk down those halls like a ghost and try to keep people away from the floor, but some people were stubborn and touched her or looked into her eyes. The curse was bestowed on to them and they died two days later. Lenne must have touched her when she was up her with you Sora. Her death was caused by someone playing in the dark arts without thinking of the consequences and ended up killing people.” Rune finished talking and looked at the other woman with the blue hair. “Did you get your story now?” he asked her as she finished writing down what he wrote. “Yes I did thank you,” she replied as she closed her notepad.
The next day there was a report of Lenne’s death on the news and the capture of the criminal who killed her. Sora had returned home at this point and when his mother found out the story of the hotel she felt scared that Sora could have been the one who ended up dying. Sora comforted his mother by hugging her whenever she started to cry saying, “It is alright mom. It is all over now.” When Sora looked back at this vacation he thought that this was easily the most interesting vacation he has ever had in his life.

Your Name: Keiran Characters Used: Akii and Vanille Word Count: 3830 Quick Synopsis: Akii gets dragged to a party by her friends and then meets a strange pink haired girl from FFXIII. They talk for a bit. The Story:
“Come on, you gotta go.” “Yeah, it’ll be no fun without ya.” “Don’t be so lame.” “You just hafta come.”
These were some of the things Akii heard from the people standing around her. I say people, because Akii did not consider any of them to be anything other than people nearby, not friends at all. Still, she spent a lot of time with them whenever she came home for the summer, mostly because it beat sitting alone. It was odd, a year ago, she did not feel this terrible need to hang around people she did not really like. It must have been university, hanging around those people with whom she had things in common, she got along, and she wanted to interact. But now, she felt that she had become too reliant on these people to relieve her loneliness, whereas before a book or empty sheet of paper, a painting or blank canvas, a sunny, cloudless sky or starry, dark night was enough to make her feel content and safe. Wanting to be around people you don’t like just so that you might be around someone was a terrible feeling, but it was where she was right now, with these folks trying to get her to go to a party that she really did not want to attend. These people were bad enough, but to see a whole host of other people she did not know and would probably hate, that was even worse.
“Fine, I’ll go.” They had broken her down. One of the boys in the group, some guy who had had a crush on her for a few years by this point, patted her on the back and reassured her that it would be fun. It would be a waste of an evening. Was it even better than being alone? Probably not, and she knew that, but there was just this compulsion to be with them. So as they started walking, first out the door of the house of one of the kids, then down the street to wherever it was they were going, Akii followed along. All that she really knew about this was that it was a party to celebrate and mourn the end of summer and start of their second (or third or first for different people) year of school, that there was supposed to be copious amounts of alcohol and cute boys, and that it would be the best night of their lives. Of course, neither the alcohol nor the boys were particularly exciting to Akii and this was far from the first time that the group had promised her that the night would be the best or one to remember or whatever other cliché they decided to spout that particular time they were trying to coerce her into something. But yeah, tonight would be different, sure, of course it would be.
As they walked down the street, Akii turned to one of the girls near her and asked, “Hey, where are we going again.” The girl laughed a bit before answering, saying, “You’re so silly, Akii, we only told you a couple hundred times.” She did not answer. God that was annoying, for her to act all cutesy, joking with Akii, when it was clear that she was asking a question for information. Sure, she could just turn and ask someone else, but they would probably respond the same way, since they were all idiots, every last one of them. With a loud, audible sigh, Akii just followed along with her gang of friends.
After about a ten minute walk, Akii found herself at the entrance to a large field. Ah, it was going to be a bonfire party – those were always sort of nice, since it was easier for her to get away from other people and slink away without being noticed. On the other hand, it was always sort of creepy, since they stayed sort of close to the tree line at the edge of the wide, open field. At least there hadn’t been a drought this summer, so the trees and grass were not dry and susceptible to catching on fire. Damn, when that happened last year, that was scary. But, never mind that, now, hopefully, the bonfire would not end with fire engines and kids screaming as they run away. Well, there was a fairly long field to cross, but she could already see a few kids waving, some holding silver cans in their hands, others with red plastic cups – she could not really see that well, but after attending parties every couple of weeks, she knew what sort of booze her neighbors liked. And it was at this point that most of her group started running, wanting to get to their other friends as quickly as possible.
And Akii was left behind. Not unusual. Though, it did not really feel any different while the others were with her. Still, she trod across the field. Then, after her group met up with their friends, those other kids, she didn’t know, started waving again. Akii paused and cocked her head to the side. Why were they waving to her? It wasn’t like she knew them. Maybe they were just being friendly or her group had told their friends to make her feel welcome. Either way, she appreciated it a little bit.
But quickly, those thoughts were dispelled as she heard a girl behind her yell out, “Hi y’all.” As she was turning her head around to see who it was, the girl came running past her. Well, the girl wasn’t really running, but it was sort of… she was like skipping and running at once. She seemed to be bobbing up and down as she moved, but at the same time she seemed to be gliding along above the ground. She was dressed in a skirt, a rather short, orange skirt, and a pink bikini top, with her pinkish hair in pigtails. She looked sort of young and sort of silly.
Though something strange happened: as the girl skipped past Akii, who was looking back at her, the girl turned her head to look at Akii and then, when she went by Akii, turned around and ran backwards for a bit, looking right at Akii before turning back around to run to the people who obviously knew her. What was really the oddest part, to Akii at least, was that this pink girl was able to turn around a hundred and eighty degrees and run backwards as though nothing out of the ordinary was happening – she looked as graceful and bizarre going backward and sideways as forward. Well, that, and why she would turn around to stare at the silverette.
So, with at least one goal for the evening, to find out why she was being stared at, Akii continued on to the bonfire, despite the fact that she also felt a bit of an urge to just walk away in the opposite direction. But, at the very least, it would eat up time, and with only thirty-seven hours before she would be driving back to Kingdom University, she just gave in and figured that solving this little mystery would eat up at least one or two of those hours. And with that and two nights of sleep – it was almost like she was already back at school.
After a few minutes of walking across a field, Akii was with the rest of the people and already people seemed to be getting drunk, though none of the people from her group. Two of the girls with her group came over to her with three red cups in their four hands, one was for her and she took it without question. Normally, she would have fought with them, but she was also smart enough to know that, in the end, they would wear her down and she would just end up drinking anyway, so what was the point of fighting about it? One of the girls gave a little fake cheer about it, at which Akii merely rolled her eyes. The other could tell that she was a little surprised to see people already stumbling around and falling over so easily, and explained to Akii that the bonfire had been going for a few hours already. So, those idiots had started early
Well, the girls stayed with her for a bit and they gossiped about who was there, who was with whom, who was cute, and who they were going to put their claws into. Well, when I say “they” I mean the two girls, Akii just sort of stood there and listened, occasionally saying something to try and rein them in and stop being, well, evil. Or, at least they seemed sort of evil to her, after a bit of their vicious attacks on others. Akii’s head scanned the crowd for that girl who had ran past her, it was hard to really see, since it was so dark and the fire was so bright, her eyes couldn’t get used to the light or the dark. After a while, she just straight up asked the two, “Hey, do you two know who that girl who ran past me is?”
“Oh, that girl?” one asked. “The one dressed like a whore,” the other added. “I think her name’s Vanilla or something.” “Sounds like a stripper name.” “I know, did you see how she was dressed.” “It looked like she was going to go to the beach or the street corner.” “And I don’t see any sand.”
At that, the two started cackling, but Akii had already stopped paying attention when the first indicated that she was unsure of her name. “Why do they have to act so damn childish,” Akii thought to herself, “It’s like they think nothing has changed since high school.” Anyway, the two went off into their world and eventually decided that they were going to go after some guy and they left Akii to herself. That poor boy.
Well, now that she had a moment to herself, Akii surveyed the crowd again, taking a sip of whatever drink they had given her. It tasted like some mix of beer, lemons, and vodka, which is to say it tasted awful. But as she surveyed the crowd she thought that this must have been what it was like to be at one of those ancient Roman bacchanalia, men and women drinking to the point where they were vomiting and passing out (luckily no one was there yet, but she did not doubt that many would end the evening thusly), people fucking without any sense of shame (well, not yet, but there were two couples making out in a manner that was rather inappropriate for public), and there seemed to be nothing there that could possibly restrain even one of them. It was sort of disturbing. Her attention was drawn to her right hand side, near the edge of the woods, she saw a girl and a boy talking, she started giggling and then the two started running into the wood. She wondered what they were going to be doing and wondered whether the two felt good about the idea of laying on the undergrowth and having a night of passion with one another. But her attention remained on the point where they had run into the woods, half expecting the girl to run back out, after realizing how stupid what she was doing was.
All of a sudden, though, her attention was called elsewhere, as she heard a cheery “Hello” come from her left hand side. Akii whipped her head around and saw, only a couple inches from her face, the pinkish haired girl. She stumbled back a few steps, why was this girl so close to her? Well, the pinkish haired girl giggled as Akii lost her balance and moved back from her and then introduced herself, “I’m Vanille, who’re you?” Well, that catty girl who she was “friends” with had been close about the name.
“Uh… I’m Akii Kurosawa,” she replied, caught somewhat off guard by the girl’s straightforwardness. No small talk, no easing into introductions, just a flat out question, while right up in her face. It was weird. “No need for lasts names, right?” “Yeah, uh, I suppose. I was just…” “So, why’re you standing over here by yourself?” Did this girl lack a filter? Did she just do and say what she felt? “Oh… I, uh, I don’t know.” A lie, but Akii did not want to admit that she just wanted to go home and that she hated all the people she spent time with. “It’s alright, all these people are a little bit much for me too.” Akii looked at Vanille sort of strangely, had the girl been watching her as she surveyed the orgy of alcohol and sex that was going on? Or was she just good at guessing what was wrong with people? Or did she really find it annoying. Akii noticed that the girl did not have a drink in her hands, which she found odd, but judging by how weird she seemed, maybe she was already drunk. But whatever the reason and whatever Akii’s response might have been, she remained silent in the wake of Vanille’s comment. But that did not stop the pink haired girl from adding more to what she said, but it was obvious from her tone and her stammering, that she felt a bit awkward filling in the silence, “Yeah, they uh… just go to hard, right? No need for all that.”
Vanille was met with silence again. “I mean, uh, right, like, why can’t we just, you know, like, talk and all.” Akii took a sip of her drink, but didn’t say anything. She felt a little bad about it, but she did not want to talk to this girl, who was obviously just trying to get her to agree. “Or you can act like a complete bitch.” And with that, Vanille walked away, leaving Akii by herself again.
Well, that wasn’t how Akii had planned on that little meeting ending. Actually, in one way it was, she did want to be left alone and have the girl leave, but, for some reason, she felt sort of bad about it. Maybe it was because she saw that the girl, though she started out storming off, ended up walking up to another group of people in a sort of slumped and dejected manner and that, even though they welcomed her into their circle and seemed excited that she was joining them, she just sort of stood there and didn’t look like she was saying or doing anything. Maybe it was because she saw that the girl kept looking around as though she was searching for someone. Maybe it was despite the fact that this girl obviously wanted to talk to her, Akii just pushed her away, for no real reason. Oh, sure, she said that his girl was just trying to suck up to her and tell her what she wanted to hear, but that was no reason. Hell, what did the girl even have to gain from talking with her and saying what Akii wanted to hear? It slipped into her mind that perhaps, just perhaps this was why she did not have any friends, at least not at home. Who was she kidding, the few people she spoke with at school were barely friends.
After a couple of minutes, she tied to drink down the rest of the swill she had in her cup, but the taste prevented her. She thought it would be dramatic to down a drink before doing something drastic, but, well, she just was not able. Not letting that daunt her, though, Akii trudged across the small bit of field that separated her and this group of people where the pink haired girl was standing silently. It was hard, to do that. Each step she wanted to stop and just stand there, at least until she finished her drink, then she could walk in the opposite direction to where six large, orange Gatorade athletic coolers were situated. But she made her progress, despite what she partially wanted. Well, she kept going until she was maybe two-thirds of the way there.
It was at that point that her courage fell out. She just stood there, taking another big gulp of booze, to regain the courage that drove her this far, but she knew it was just a ruse – when drunk she was worse than when she was sober, even more anti-social, though with the added effect of being mean to the people she did not want to talk to, so at best it would cause her to run away, at worst to mock the girl whose feelings she had just hurt. But the ritual, drinking to gain up your strength, it had to be done. Why? Who knows, but it did.
So, now, like an idiot, Akii was standing just a few feet, maybe ten or fifteen, from this crowd of people and more specifically the pink haired girl who she had just driven away. It felt awful standing right there, knowing that she was not even capable of going up to a girl, apologizing and asking her if she wanted to talk. What was wrong with her? How can you not have the courage to make small talk? Was she even a real person? Or was she one of those things without a heart, like from that game her roommate liked to play? It felt like she was just a monster sometimes, not because she was cruel or vicious or mean, but just because she could not live among people, like Mary Shelley’s daemon. Whatever the cause or the effect, Akii was now just standing there, awkwardly hating herself.
It was a few more minutes of that, during which she finished the awful drink she had been given by some friend, before the pink haired girl turned away from her group and walked over, once again, to Akii. Not saying a word, she grabbed one of Akii’s arms and walked with her back to where they had been standing before, or roughly where they had been before; in any case they were fairly far away from where the other people were. One of the boys from the circle shouted something, it sounded like it was addressed to Vanille, but she did not respond. Akii would have found it odd, but she too probably would not have responded. When they reached their destination, out of earshot of the crowd, Vanille let go of her and turned to face her. Akii was a bit worried, the girl looked mad and she had no idea what the girl was capable of and willing to do. When Vanille did not say anything right away, she actually got a little scared, looking quickly off to her left, to the bonfire, where she saw that no one seemed to be paying attention to them.
Then, with a voice that did not hide how irritated she was, Vanille finally spoke, “Why did you just ignore me?” She wanted to ignore her again, but this time it was because she was sort of afraid to answer. Up until this point, she had tried to avoid eye contact with the girl, and now was no different, “I don’t know. It was stupid.” She paused. But Vanille didn’t respond. “I guess… I just feel nervous around people. I don’t know, it’s stupid.” Vanille put a hand on Akii’s shoulder, “It’s alright. I know what you mean. I have trouble being around most people too.” Akii looked up at her, the new softness to her voice an encouragement that maybe the girl wasn’t mad. “So why did you come talk to me?” This time, it was Vanille’s time to avoid eye contact, as she looked off to her right, away from the bonfire. “Sorry, I didn’t me…” “You seemed different. When I saw you walking to the party, that is. You know how it’s easier to spot people like you, right?” Akii nodded, with a smile, “Ya, I know exactly what you mean.” She didn’t, but she thought she did. And with that reassurance, Vanille looked Akii back in the eye. Her cheeks now blushing so that they outdid her hair. It was nice, Akii thought, this girl really seemed like she could…
Her thoughts were cut off as Vanille leaned forward and, wrapping her arms around Akii, kissed her. She would have struggled or pushed the girl off but… she was dumbfounded. What just happened and what is happening was all that she could think. And all she could do physically was… well, admit that it sort of felt good. And it seemed like it went on forever, like it would never stop. Maybe it was the passion in it and the fact that this was her first kiss and that she did enjoy it, but it probably also had to do with the fact that this was extremely uncomfortable and, frankly, a bit scary.
When the pink haired girl finally pulled away, Akii shouted out, instinctively, “What was that?” Though she seemed a little embarrassed, this time, Vanille did not look away or blush, but simply admitted, “Well, when you said you were a lesbian I just sort of… I don’t know, lost control. I just…” “I’m not gay.” “What? But you said that you knew what it liked to see people who were different.” Her face was contorted a bit, she was obviously embarrassed, her cheeks a bright red, and her eyes were scrunching up a bit, looking like she was on the verge of tears. Akii, for some reason, felt very bad about not being gay right now, Vanille just seemed so upset about this revelation. “I thought you were just someone who felt uncomfortable around other people and like talking and all.” Then the tears started, “Please don’t tell anyone.” “Shh, shh, it’s alright,” Akii put a hand on Vanille’s shoulder, “I won’t, it’s not my place. I don’t care that you’re gay, that’s up to you.” But nothing she was saying seemed to matter, “Come on, it’s alright.” After this, she sort of stepped forward and hugged the poor pink haired girl. After a couple minutes, Vanille started to calm down and choke back her tears. “I’m sorry, Akii,” as she said this she pulled herself away from the silverette’s arms, “I really didn’t mean to do anything like that. I hope you’re not mad at me.” “No, it’s alright Vanille. I know you, uh, you didn’t, uh, mean to do that, not really.” “So, uh, what now? Should I go back to my friends?” “Do you want to leave, maybe we could hang out for a bit, not kiss, and talk?” “Sure. I hate those people anyway.” “Me too.”

Your Name: Sparks Title: The Disappearance of Sora Hiroaki Characters Used: Sora Hiroaki, Roxas Hiroaki, Ventus Hiroaki, Vanitas Hiroaki, Namine Otonashii, Hiro Matsumoto, Adelaide Rae, Riku Ichihara, Tore-N Koigokoro Word Count: 8294 Quick Synopsis: Sora Hiroaki... disappears? The Story:
Chapter 1
It was the beginning of summer. Sora Hiroaki, resident freshmen at Kingdom University, invited a select few to come with him to his home on Destiny Islands. These select few were close friends of Sora, and he chose them with great care. Yet, they all didn’t know what was to-
“Roxas! We’re leaving soon! Are you done packing yet!?” Roxas put on a small pout, and yelled back down at his cousin.
“Of course I’m done! Did you make sure to pack the charger for your cell phone this time Sora?!” It was a fair question. Sora never packed chargers for anything, he only grabbed the stuff he needed and used and left, too psyched about the trip to think of what he should have brought.
“Oh! My charger! Right! Thanks for reminding me Roxas!” As Sora’s footsteps sounded away from the bottom of the staircase, Roxas chuckled. He could just imagine the expression his cousin had been wearing, a slightly clueless turned bright realization look. Going back to his computer, he looked back at the beginning of his introduction. It seemed enticing enough, but work would still need to be done. Roxas laughed while he saved his work so far onto his flash drive. He had only gotten a few sentences into it and he’s already criticizing himself. Taking out the flash drive and stuffing it in his pocket, he went to look for his suitcase.
“It has to be here somewhere…,” he muttered to himself. He’d packed last night, and stuffed his suitcase somewhere he couldn’t remember at the moment, obviously. It didn’t help his room was a complete mess, and even after about five minutes of searching, he still couldn’t find it. He looked under his bed, under all his clothes he so graciously tossed on the floor who knows how long ago, and anywhere else in his room. Groaning, he heard Sora’s voice again.
“Roxas! I got my charger! We have to go, like, now! What’s taking so long?!” Growling in frustration, Roxas shouted back.
“In a second Sora! Just chill!” Ignoring whatever his cousin’s response may be, Roxas looked in the last place he could think of: his closet. Yanking the door open, he searched through yet another pile of clothes. It was now Roxas realized how much of a slob he was. “Karma.” Shifting a few shirts and pants, he finally found his suitcase. He wasn’t sure exactly why he’d put it in there, but didn’t waste any time pulling it out. As he did so, something from his closet, assumingly pulled from its hanger by accident, landed over his head. Roxas dropped his suitcase on the floor, and grabbed whatever piece of clothing had landed on him off. He took a look at it, and saw it was an old detective cape. Probably from some old Halloween costume. He stared at it for a moment, and saw the hat attached to it by a string. He paused for a moment. His latest blog was about a mystery, and the fact that this particular outfit fell down was quite ironic. Roxas unzipped his suitcase and pondered whether to pack the detective outfit or not.
“Roxas! We’re leaving RIGHT NOW! So let’s go!” Sora’s voice came again. Quickly deciding to stuff the outfit in his suitcase, Roxas zipped it back up and hurried out the door.
“I’m coming, jeez!” he said as he passed Sora at the bottom of the stairs. The two boys rushed to Sora’s car, suitcases in hand. They tossed them in the back seats, and got in, Roxas on the passenger’s seat, and Sora driving. After fastening their seat belts, Sora stepped on the gas pedal and they were off. A few minutes into the ride, Sora suddenly spoke.
“So, Roxas, what took you so long?” His question was accompanied by a bit of an accusing stare. Roxas turned towards him.
“I’m working on a new blog. Got caught up.” He replied. He wasn’t exactly keen on giving his cousin any reason to start teasing him, like telling him he forgot where his suitcase was. Sora made a bit of a disbelieving face.
“Really? Does it take you that long to save a document?” he asked.
“Yes.” With that, a veil of silence fell upon the two boys. Roxas was about to go stare out the window, when Sora spoke yet again.
“So… what’s your blog about?” he asked, his eyes glued to the road. Roxas smirked.
“A mystery.” He replied. Sora was quiet for a few moments, as if waiting for Roxas to continue. When the blonde remained silent, Sora frowned.
“Well? Aren’t you going to elaborate? A mystery about what?” Roxas’s smirk was still in place.
“Stuff.” Sora’s eyes narrowed. They hit a red light, and he turned towards Roxas.
“What kind of stuff? What’s the mystery about?” Roxas feigned a dramatic thinking pose. “Hm, it’s about…” He trailed off, his head slightly tilted upwards, yet his eyes poised at his cousin. Sora shot him an annoyed look.
“About…?” he prompted.
“It’s about… A disappearance.” The light turned green, and Sora focused on the road again. However, this didn’t stop him from continuing his questions.
“Oh? Who disappears?” he asked. Roxas stared at his cousin for a moment, and let out a small chuckle.
“The blog’s just starting; I don’t know what’s going to happen next.” Sora made a weird face.
“You’re weird Roxas.” Said blonde simply laughed.
Chapter 2
Sora stopped the car, and Roxas jumped out.
“Freedom!” he cried, throwing his hands in the air in a dramatic fashion. He dropped to his knees and started to theatrically kiss the ground. Sora got out of the driver’s side of the car and stood over his cousin. “Aw, come on, Roxas. My driving wasn’t that bad, was it?” he said. His tone had a slight whine to it, letting the blonde know his cousin wasn’t serious. Getting off the ground and dusting his clothes off, he walked to the back of the car to get his suitcase out.
“You’re driving as absolutely horrible, Sora. I’m almost convinced your license is fake.” Of course, he was only joking. His bland, monotone voice should have given that away. Except, he had forgotten this was Sora he was talking to. Putting on a mildly annoyed look, Sora nudged Roxas aside and grabbed his own bag from the back as well.
“I can assure you my license is completely authentic! I’m no rule-breaker,” he said, his voice lowering a bit on his last sentence, and his mouth forming a small pout. Roxas stared at him as he slammed the car door shut. They started walking towards Sora’s house.
“So, Sora, you do realize I was only joking about the license thing, right? I know you’re a goody-two-shoes, and I just didn’t like being in a car for so long, no matter who’s driving,” he said. Sora punched him in the arm.
“Ow,” Roxas said, emphasizing and somewhat stretching the word. It didn’t really hurt all that much, but he felt like he still had to say it. Sora turned his head away in a snobbish fashion.
“You deserved it. I really believed you, you know. Way to abuse the cousinly trust we have. How can I ever believe you again? I need to know I can depend on you, know you’ll watch my back when- Oh look our friends from the university are here!” Sora took off running, and Roxas could only face palm and groan. Sora was such a dweeb sometimes. Taking off after him, he arrived at the group to find Sora already socializing.
“Wow, I can’t believe you’re all here! This vacation is going to be sweet!” Sora was wearing a large grin, seemingly trying to converse with them all at the same time. Whether some people tried to follow the talkative brunette’s words or not was unknown to Roxas. He sure wasn’t. Nonetheless, the blonde surveyed the group of students. He could point out a few by name: Riku Ichihara, Tore-N Koigokoro, and Namine Otonashii. Although, he should know Namine, since he’d actually invited her himself. Two other people whom he didn’t recognize were a blonde haired girl and an orange haired boy. “So, seems like we’ve got seven people here total…” he thought. Walking up to his cousin, he grabbed his shoulder and spun him around so they were face to face.
“Sora, before you go off on a non-stop talking rampage, why don’t we get our rooms all ready and settle in?” he suggested. Said brunette’s face lit up.
“That’s a great idea Roxas! Then, we can all meet up afterward and hang out!” picking up his suitcase again, Sora started to go towards the Hiroaki’s house. Sighing, Roxas started to follow after him, calling back to the others,
“Let’s go, you’ll be staying at our residence or whatever you want to call it.”
Chapter 3
Now, the thing about the Hiroaki house was that it wasn’t a normal house. It happened to look like a house, but it contained over ten rooms and was more like some kind of summer residence for a very big family to stay at for, well, the summer. And for most of the year, Sora’s mom actually got it all to herself. Though Roxas didn’t want to even imagine the cleaning she had to do. Anyways, as the group arrived at the door, Sora wasted no time opening it and ushering everyone inside.
“Alright, I can leave it up to you to give everyone their rooms, right Roxas?” he asked. Roxas shrugged.
“Sure,” he replied. “This way.” He made it towards a tall set of stairs, and began the trek up them. That was one of the things he hated; all of the rooms were at the top of an unreasonably long stair case. It took a full three minutes to get to the top, considering the group as well as the baggage. Almost immediately, the blonde began to issue rooms.
“Alright, there are enough rooms for everyone to have their own. There are no locks and while Sora would try to make each one sound unique and different, I’m telling you all now, they’re practically the same. So take your pick, it doesn’t really matter where you stay. Just avoid the first… four rooms, basically, the first two on each side of the hall,” he said. Then, he smirked.
“Those are reserved for us Hiroakis if you were wondering.” With that, he stuck his hand up in a motionless wave and disappeared into one of the “reserved” rooms. The university students stood there silently for a moment, before the orange haired boy, Hiro, spoke up.
“Who says Roxas is hiding a teddy bear collection in those rooms?” And everyone dispersed.
SORA POV
Currently, the brunette islander was unpacking his suitcase. He hummed a little tune as he hung up some of his shirts. Back on the islands, his home, with his mom and his friends as well as Roxas, well, could this vacation get any better? A goofy grin was seemingly permanently glued onto his face. There was nothing that could ruin his mood now!
Suddenly, noise from behind him made him stop his humming and movement all together. It sounded like his door opening. For a moment, he wondered who was there. Going back to hanging up the shirt in his hand, he started to speak casually. No need to be scared, right? This was his own house.
“Whoever is there, I’ll be done in just a second so be pa-mmpf!”
Chapter 4
Downstairs in the parlor area…
The group of five, non-Hiroaki, guests were all sitting on the various chairs and couches, waiting for Roxas and Sora to come down. Hiro hung upside down on a love seat, while Riku, Namine, and the blonde girl, Adelaide, were sharing a sofa. Tore-N preferred the floor rather than a couch, for some reason.
“When are Sora and Roxas going to come down?” the auburn haired teen complained. Tore-N slightly rocked back and forth on his feet.
“We could start with some introductions, I guess…” he suggested. Hiro flipped himself upright, as the blood was starting to rush to his head.
“I’m up for that. My name’s Hiro Matsumoto. I’m in Sora’s Theater class, so he invited me and I came. My twin brother, some of you may know him, Kaito Matsumoto, was supposed to come. But he’s got a thing for some silver-haired girl so I thought I’d let him stay behind. Maybe he’ll actually have gotten somewhere by the time I get back.” The last sentence was muttered, but Hiro wouldn’t be surprised if someone heard him. Tore-N decided to go next.
“Tore-N Koigokoro here. I’m Sora’s roommate and while we had a bit of a…rocky start, we’re on pretty good terms right now. He invited me here, didn’t he?” The older boy let out a nervous chuckle. The events of his first meeting with the spiky haired brunette hadn’t been a pleasant one for Sora, and they’d been trying to put it behind them. He needed to make sure he never messed up like that again, which probably meant he should make sure to distance himself when they went swimming in the ocean during this trip…
While Tore-N got a bit lost in thought, Adelaide looked to Riku and the blonde haired girl. They both didn’t look like they were volunteering to go, so that meant she had to. It would be short, simple, and to the point.
“My name’s Adelaide Rae, it’s nice to meet you all. I’m on the soccer team with Sora, so that’s how I got here.” Yup, that was it, nothing special, just a few sentences. She then looked at Riku pointedly. Him and the other girl were the only ones left, and since the other girl hadn’t made any move to speak up, that meant it was his turn.
Riku caught Adelaide staring at him. So apparently it was his turn, huh?
“I’m Riku Ichihara, I’m just a friend of Sora’s whom he so kindly invited. I tutored him in psychology once, so I guess that’s where it started. Although you’re all not looking for my entire history are you?” he said, smirking. The others had kept theirs short and simple, and he’d follow suit. Now all that was left was the shy looking girl next to him and they were back to silence. Namine stared at her hands. She really didn’t like introductions. But, the sooner she went, the sooner it was over.
“My name is N-Namine Otonashii. U-Unlike all of you, I, um, I was invited here by Roxas… He’s, like, a kind of… little brother to me?” She made a sheepish looking smile. Everyone here was invited by Sora, but she’d been invited by Roxas. That made her stick out a bit, and she did not like sticking out. At all. She let out a soft sigh. This was going to be a long vacation, she knew it.
As the introductions wrapped up, the group was silent again. Tore-N was just rocking a bit, Hiro was staring at the ceiling, Namine was twiddling her fingers, Adelaide was glancing at her hands, then to Riku, then her hands again, and Riku was simply staring into space. The silence was broken, however, by Hiro, which wasn’t too big of a surprise.
“Well, I’m hungry. So, I’m getting some chips from the kitchen to eat. See you all.” With a small wave, the twin walked off in search of the kitchen. The room didn’t go back to silence, however. Because a few minutes after Hiro had gone, footsteps were heard coming down from upstairs. All four heads turned, and before they even saw the person, they spoke.
“Mysterious disappearance of 18 year old college freshmen, Sora Hiroaki, that’s what the headers of all the newspapers are going to read! Why? My friends, and friends of Sora, listen to me! Sora Hiroaki has officially disappeared from Destiny Islands!” Now, they probably should have taken this seriously. But, honestly, with Roxas waving his arms all over the place in a dusty detective suit and his hat falling over his face as he walked down the stairs, it was quite hard not to laugh. Adelaide let out a few restrained laughs, Namine giggled, Riku chuckled, and Tore-N flat out laughed. Roxas shot them all an annoyed and aggravated stare. His eyes narrowed as he began to speak again.
“Hey, I’m serious! Sora’s gone! I went to go see what was taking him so long, and found him missing from his room!” He waved his arms a little more to emphasize his point. Riku raised an eyebrow, disbelieving, yet not ready to blow it off as a joke.
“So, Sora’s really missing?” he asked.
“Yes!” Roxas insisted. Getting up, Riku walked past Roxas up the stairs. He was gone for a few minutes, and everyone anticipated his return. What would he find? Was Sora seriously gone? Was Roxas telling the truth? Why did he decide to dress in that ridiculous costume? Okay, the last one was more like Adelaide’s thought. But really, was the outfit necessary? A few minutes later, Riku appeared from the stairs. The room fell dead silent as they heard his conclusion.
“Sora Hiroaki has officially left the building. And perhaps Destiny Islands as well, it seems.” As everyone exchanged glances between each other, they had expressions that read worried, confused, and unsure of what to do. The one who didn’t seem affected, however, was Roxas. He simply gaped at the group.
“Excuse me?! You believe his word, but not mine!?” he exclaimed. Everyone gave him basically blank stares. Surprisingly, it was Namine who spoke up for the group, something everyone was somewhat shocked about.
“Y-You see Roxas, this i-is just my, um, opinion, but, I t-think it’s because…Riku wasn’t w-wearing, um, such a… unique outfit?” Her face only offered a hesitant smile, as if she was a bit nervous how he would take it. Roxas stared at her incredulously.
“Unique outfit? It’s just a cape and hat! It was appropriate for the situation…” he said, trying to defend himself. “Hey, Roxas, why did you pack that outfit anyways?” Riku suddenly butted in. The blonde boy snorted, crossed his arms, and stuck his chin in the air, turning away from the older, silver haired boy.
“It was a last minute decision. What does it matter to you why I wanted to pack it?” Before Riku could reply, however, Tore-N spoke up.
“Hey, instead of arguing over some pretty pointless things, why aren’t any of you concerned for Sora!? He could be kidnapped, and being tortured, or… some kind of other bad thing!” His tone was definitely angry, and somewhat scared. He loved Sora, and he felt downright insulted when no one seemed to care what had become of him. “If he’s missing, we should be out there looking for him!” Everyone seemed to get much more solemn expressions on. They all felt somewhat guilty… Who knew where Sora was or what he was doing? Satisfied with the feeling he set, Tore-N then stood up, and addressed the whole group.
“Everyone should go looking around the island. I’m sure we haven’t checked everywhere, so each of us can spread out. We all have cell phones, so if anyone is lost, there’s probably cell phone coverage throughout the island, right?” he said. Everyone just nodded. “We should add each other’s numbers too,” Adelaide put in, getting her phone out. They all agreed, and started to exchange numbers. Riku got Namine, Roxas, Tore-N’s numbers, Namine got Adelaide, Riku, and Tore-N’s numbers, Roxas- well, you get the point.
“Are we all ready?” Roxas asked. All heads nodded. “Then let’s go look for Sora!”
Chapter 5
Adelaide POV
The blonde haired girl wasn’t sure where to go. As Tore-N and Roxas took off first, the other girl, Namine, took it a little slower, but soon, it was only her and Riku. As he started to walk out, he looked back at her.
“Hey, Addie, you coming or what? You can search with me if you’d rather not walk around the island alone,” he offered, pausing at the doorway. Okay, so she wouldn’t have minded going on her own if she really had to, but the fact Riku offered, well, who was she to decline? Besides, if she had gone out alone, she would have liked company anyways. Of course, this had absolutely nothing to do with the fact it would be only her and Riku, looking for Sora around the island. Smiling a little, she made her way towards him.
“I’ll go with you, Riku. Thanks,” she said. Then, the two walked outside, on the lookout for the missing first year.
They’d decided to take the forest approach. That is, they went to look in the woodsy section of the island. There were overgrown vines, plants, and greenery everywhere. It was summer, and the sun was blazing, but the trees provided a nice cover and the heat was bearable. Debris littered the forest floor, and crunched under their feet as they stepped on it. Both of their eyes were searching the trees for anything out of the ordinary: movement, sounds, maybe a quick glimpse of… well, something. Yet, they hadn’t found anything.
“I’m starting to get the feeling Sora isn’t in the forest…” Riku said. Adelaide sighed. “If he is here, we’ll find him for sure. Let’s keep looking,” she said. Sora could still be here, they haven’t searched the whole forest yet. Besides, even if he wasn’t here, she didn’t mind just walking with Riku. Suddenly, a rustle of leaves caught both of their attentions. Riku suddenly grabbed her out of nowhere and pressed his back to a tree. He was practically hugging her, however he was glancing somewhat past the tree, eyes narrowed. The air seemed to still, as if it were holding its breath. Adelaide definitely was. Her heart was thumping in her chest, but she didn’t dare to speak. Her face was now considerably red, but she decided not to focus on that. More importantly, what was going to happen? Then, just as suddenly as he’d done it, Riku let go of her. Taking in a big breath of air, she looked at him, her expression obviously asking “What was that exactly for?” Riku stared at her for a moment, then broke out into a smile.
“Sorry about that, Addie. I wasn’t sure what kind of person, or thing, was there. Didn’t want to take any chances of you, or well, either of us getting hurt,” he explained. Adelaide smiled back.
“Yeah, then I guess I’ll have to thank you for saving me, huh?” she asked. Her heart had slowed down, and her mood was getting considerably lighter. Her companion let out a soft laugh.
“You sure do. When we get back to the university, you’re doing all my homework. Or, you know what, maybe I’ll do yours while you do mine. Then, we’ll see just who finishes faster,” he suggested. Adelaide couldn’t help but think that was so Riku. Always competing and challenging others, whether it be her, himself, and any other person he happens to be close to.
“Hey, that’s really not fair. How am I thanking you by having you do my homework? How about I owe you some kind of favor?” she offered. Technically, Riku hadn’t “saved” her from anything, but it was the thought that counted. The silver haired boy just shrugged.
“Alright, that works. But, I kind of had something in mind…” he said, his voice trailing off. Curious, Adelaide stared at him for a moment.
“Oh? What would that be?” she asked. Riku glanced at her from the corner of his eyes. “Well, it’s kind of simple, but when we get back to the university, accompany me sometime to draw,” he said. He looked away a little, almost embarrassed.
“Oh, okay, I’d love to. Be sure to tell me when, though.” Before their conversation could continue, however, more sudden movement caught their eyes. A glimpse of spiky hair was seen, and it was on the move. They shared a glance, then took off. A single thought echoed through their mind: “Sora.”
Chapter 6
Namine POV
This vacation was certainly not what she expected. She knew that there’d be a few conflicts, and some problems, but a disappearance? And Sora’s at that. How did it end up like this? As everyone stared to leave, Namine stayed behind a few moments, until leaving herself. She honestly wasn’t too sure where to go. She sighed, so much for a “relaxing” vacation. Roxas was definitely wrong about that part. He said she could draw the ocean while they went to the beach, or the land as they spent time outside. Well, she certainly wasn’t getting any drawing done. However, it really wasn’t Roxas’s fault. He didn’t know all of this would happen.
Thinking some more on where to look, the beach came back to her mind. She could search there! Smiling, relieved, she made her way to the coastline. She wasn’t too eager to meet some kind of kidnapper or madman, but she wanted to help find Sora nonetheless. There’s no way she’d stand by, doing nothing. If she did happen to meet some kind of psycho, then she was calling Roxas. He was on speed dial, so he’d be the easiest to contact. Plus, she wasn’t too comfortable calling others unless she absolutely had to.
Arriving at the sandy beach, Namine was thankful she was wearing sandals. Deciding to start walking to the east, she relished the warm feeling of the hot sand between her toes. It was pleasant, quiet, and she was completely alone. If she didn’t have a job to do, or rather a task, she would definitely leisurely walk along the water. But instead, her eyes were constantly moving, on the lookout for the sight of the missing Hiroaki. The beach was broad and flat, and the sand was a light tan color. If someone, or something, was there, then she’d definitely see it. Unless they happened it be on the other side of the beach, then she was going to take awhile to find them. Staying positive, Namine figured she’d circle around the island at some point, so she still could find out whether Sora was here or not.
A refreshing, sea breeze blew from behind her, getting her bleach blonde hair effectively in her face. Gathering a lock of it in her hand, she put it behind her ear, clearing her vision just in time to see something. The wind died down, and she stared to the right of her a little ways ahead. She was sure someone, or something, had been there.
Actually running forward now, Namine started to mentally prepare herself for whatever she may find. She might be face to face with some escaped criminal or fugitive. With this in mind, she decided to bring out her cell phone. Better safe than sorry. Turning the corner, around a small ridge, she spotted spiky Sora-styled hair. The color seemed a little off, but it was probably due to the shadows. He’d disappeared somewhere into the trees…
Chapter 7
Tore-N POV
Tore-N’s mind was racing. Where could Sora be? What part of the island? Could he find him in time? What if they were already too late!? All of his thoughts were taking over his head, and he found he was losing focus. He put on a determined face, and hit his head a few times. He shouldn’t be stressing himself too much. Right now, he needed to focus. He obviously couldn’t search the whole island, but he watched as the others ran off. Roxas, well, he didn’t see him go anywhere, but the girl, Namine, went off towards the beach, while Riku and Adelaide headed off in the forest. “Well, that’s two places covered, now, I’ll go and check around the inner island.” he decided.
He started to jog to the left, sticking inland for the most part. His senses were alert, making sure not to miss a single thing. Tore-N, while still walking on gravel and dirt and sand, managed to keep his footsteps relatively quiet. Nothing would get unnoticed by him, nothing. Clenching his teeth, the older boy forced himself to focus on the present, on the facts. His mind could not wander to Sora, or how he might be in a sticky situation, or in the hands of some kidnapper, or maybe... a child molester?! His eyes widened as the scene unfolded in his mind. Sora, innocent, pure Sora, being touched by some older man...
A wave of guilt hit him. When he'd first met the first year, he'd been the “older man” who was doing the touching. Heck, he'd even chased the poor boy around campus! It was almost the same situation... Except replace Tore-N with a much older guy, and the campus with an island. No! No! He would not let that happen! Sora shouldn't have to relive that experience, not after what he went through before. He's probably on his way to a trauma of men... And that would just ruin the boy's whole life! Fueled with an even stronger desire to find and potentially save Sora, Tore-N became extremely serious.
He picked up his pace a bit, and his eyes were narrowed in concentration. If he heard or saw anyone, or anything, he'd take off running. Whoever had captured Sora wasn't going to get away with it, not by his watch!
The rustle of bushes immediately made its way to the second year's ears. His whole body snapped to the left, and he actually caught a slight glimpse of, was that, brown or blonde hair? “Either way,” he thought, “There's someone there, and I'm going to definitely find them, no matter what.” And then, he started sprinting.
Chapter 8
Hiro POV
“Okay, chips, chips,” he said to himself, searching the cupboards. He'd found the kitchen rather quickly (maybe it was some kind of sixth sense?), and went on the hunt for potato chips right away. However, as easy as that may have seemed, it was not so. There was no closet of sorts, where chips usually could be found, so he'd resorted to the cupboards above the counter. But, the problem lied there: there had to be well over fifty of them. Along with that, they were high up, and even though he was a good 5'10, he had to climb up onto the counter on his knees to open one of them.
The first one, well, that one was just plain stupid. It had a sh*t load of sweets in it, all packed into the cupboard as tightly as they could be. How the door was even closed in the first place was a mystery to him, but when he opened it again, it was quite apparent what happened: every single thing that was crammed in that tiny space fell out. Right. On. Top. Of. Him. It's safe to say, he fell off the counter, but luckily, didn't hit his head (the kitchen was huge, he couldn't hit his head on anything if he tried). He did, however, land on something, (was it some lollipops?) that was hard and poking him. Lifting himself off the ground and on his feet, he looked down at the mess he'd made. What he had landed on had been plain popsicle sticks... Did someone shove them in there instead of the trash? What a slob. Along with the sticks, candies, snacks, and all sorts of other junk food were promptly spewed around the floor. A piece of sky blue paper caught his eye. It was lying in the almost direct center of the mountain of food, and in a black sharpie marker, bold uppercase letters read: “ITEMS IN THIS CUPBOARD ARE PROPERTY OF SORA HIROAKI. DO NOT TOUCH (and that means you Roxas!)” Hiro raised an eye brow. So this cupboard was Sora's? Well, he'd go mention this to him later. In the meantime, chips were somewhere in this room, waiting to be found. Casually, the auburn haired twin hopped back on the counter, and resumed his search. Hey, Sora said not to touch his food, so he wasn't. And if he wasn't touching it, he couldn't put it back; that'd be for Sora to do. Besides, this hunt for chips was going to take awhile. He just knew it.
Chapter 9
Adelaide POV
Currently, Addie and Riku were sprinting through the forest. Luckily, they were both decently fast runners, so they kept a nice pace and were gaining distance on whom they assumed was the missing brunette, considerably. It was actually rather strange, in Adelaide's opinion. Why would did Sora seem to be running away from them? They were his, well, basically his friends, so there was nothing to be scared of, right? Her eyebrows furrowed, and Riku shot her a curious glance. However, they didn't exchange any words, as talking when running just wasn't the smartest thing to do.
Instead, they had a sort of “communicating with their eyes” kind of thing going on. Adelaide's expression read “Why is he running?” As she stole a glance at Riku, she immediately realized he was saying “He's scared?” accompanied by a shrug. She 'responded' with a “Why?” For a few minutes, the silver haired boy simply ran, not sending the blonde any sort of communication. So, she had to assume he was thinking. Finally, he seemed to come up with an answer. He voiced it this time, however.
“Maybe he thinks we're bad guys. He was running from the start, remember?” he said. Realization washed over her. Of course Sora would think that! If there were bad people chasing him before, he probably can't tell the difference between them and his friends. Riku, having probably come up with the same thoughts and knowing she had as well, continued speaking. “Here's what we'll do. I'll tackle him, and you make sure to make it clear to him it's just us, okay?” Adelaide simply nodded. Riku picked the pace up into a heavy sprint, effectively getting ahead of her. But, as he did so, she spotted something on the ground. As she went farther and farther ahead, the object became more clear: a hat. One of those detective hats you saw in the old fashioned movies. Slowing down to a stop, she leaned down to pick it up. Surveying it, a thought crossed her mind. “Isn't this-”
“Roxas?!” Adelaide heard Riku's voice before her thought completed. Walking towards the sound, she was soon standing over a very-much-not-Sora Roxas... being crushed by the older boy whom was much larger than him.
“Roxas? What are you doing here?” she asked. Shouldn't he be out looking for Sora too? Roxas laughed, looking somewhat guilty, and somewhat pissed.
“Well, I'd love to clear up this situation, but it would help if I didn't have a guy who weighs about a ton lying on top of me,” he said. Riku shot him a glare, but got up nonetheless. The blonde boy got himself up, dusted his clothes a bit, before facing them both, as Riku had come to stand next to her. Handing him his hat, she simply said,
“Here. This is yours right?” Nodding, Roxas took it and placed it back on his head. Blandly, Adelaide noted he was still wearing the strange detective costume.
“Alright Roxas, start talking,” Riku commanded. Silent for a moment, the younger boy suddenly started to walk away. Letting out a frustrated growl, her companion marched after him, and she followed suit, if not less dramatic.
“Hey! Get back here!” he demanded. Roxas didn't even bother to look back.
“I'll explain everything when we get back to the house. Just follow me out of this forest first.”
Namine POV
A certain 19 year old girl pushed a giant leaf out of her way. She'd caught glimpses of someone with hair very much like Sora's a few times, and by following them, she was finding herself going deeper and deeper into the greenery. Wiping some sweat from her forehead, Namine forced herself to keep going.
It seemed as if she wasn't getting any closer. The glimpses were still basically at the same distance, and she almost doubted she'd ever catch up to this person. Between tripping over random sticks and pushing branches and leaves out of her way, her speed really wasn't all that great, and she was only walking. It was out of the question to try to run, as she'd only end up hurting herself, which didn't help her at all, obviously. But, within a few minutes, Namine thought the figure was getting closer and closer. It was after another five minutes she could see the person had stopped moving all together.
This discovery, though, came with a price. As she realized she was getting closer, she got the urge to start to pick up speed. The leaves were lessening, and she was gaining control over her footing. A giant palm, almost as big as her, decided to suddenly block her path. Trying to run right through it, she succeeded in passing it... and running straight into someone else who was on the other side. She squeaked before jumping back, her heartbeat picking up.
“I-I'm r-r-r-really s-sorry!” she exclaimed. When she looked at whom she bumped into, she let a gasp. It was the person she'd been following! But, he certainly wasn't Sora. For one, his hair was jet black, and his eyes a golden color. Also, Sora gave off the naive, innocent impression. This guy radiated the whole “bad boy” theme, with the clothes matching. He could still turn out to be totally unlike his appearance, since first impressions weren't always right, and Namine firmly believed that. The boy, looking around her age, perhaps younger, suddenly shot her a foul glare.
“Hey, what was that for? I've been trying to lose you after you started following me ages ago,” he said. Namine narrowed her eyes. She still didn't know this boy completely, and he just might be in a bad mood. Taking a deep breath, she swallowed hard before speaking.
“I-I'm looking f-f-for Sora H-H-Hiroaki, you h-haven't seen him, right?” she asked. At the mention of Sora's name, the dark looking boy scoffed and put on a sour look.
“Don't you dare say that name around me. If I knew where he was, I'd be making his life as close to hell as I could. So maybe it's best I don't,” he said. Silence fell upon the two, and Namine really wasn't sure what to do. Her eyes traveling from side to side, she shuffled her feet a bit. Turning around, she stammered out a soft, “I'll be g-going n-now,” before starting to walk away. The boy then let out a frustrated groan.
“Stop,” he commanded. The blonde froze. She heard footsteps, and then the boy was standing right behind her.
“Sorry for snapping at you. I'm just... not on good terms with Sora. Never have been, never will.” the last part was muttered out, but Namine could still hear it. Turning her head slightly, she could see the boy's face.
“O-Oh, it's okay, r-really,” she tried to reassure him. Maybe he really wasn't that bad of a person after all. Walking so he was beside her, the dark haired boy held out his hand.
“The name's Vanitas. Vanitas Hiroaki,” he introduced himself. Namine managed a small smile. She timidly gripped his hand, and shook it lightly.
“N-N-Namine O-Otonashii...” she said. Vanitas let go of her hand. Sighing, he crossed his arms over his chest.
“Well, Namine, I might as well help you out of this forest. I know the way, and you probably don't. I might as well since you wasted all that energy following me, or whatever so let's go.” With that, he started walking right away. Scurrying after him, she decided to listen and let him lead her out of here. She wouldn't have been able to, now that she thought about it, since she didn't exactly note the trail she went on.
Their walk was silent, and she didn't mind it at all. She simply followed the sound of Vanitas's footsteps as she kept her gaze on her feet. Suddenly, however, a branch whipped out and almost hit her on the head. She snapped up, and saw Vanitas's hand gripping it.
“Watch where you're walking, would ya? Or at least look forward. I'm not stopping anymore branches from hitting you from now on,” he said, Namine simply nodded, and tried to make sure her eyes didn't fall downwards, like they usually did. And from then until they arrived at the Hiroaki house, she wondered, still, exactly where Sora was. Hopefully, the others had been more successful than she had been.
Tore-N POV
Tore-N's breathing had become heavy. He was sure the person had gone somewhere in this direction... Aha! Pinpointing his destination, he tried to go even faster than he already was. As he neared, the figure he had seen earlier was coming closer and closer. He was just starting to make out some details when it hit him: this wasn't Sora. He could just tell by the way the hair was styled, and the overall shape that it wasn't, couldn't, be Sora. He slowed down as disappointment filled his mind. However, he soon shook it off. Even if it wasn't Sora, this person looked remarkably like him, and maybe he had some kind of clue. After all, someone is better than no one.
Picking up the pace again, Tore-N determinedly followed the stranger. Within ten minutes, he was able to finally able to put his hand on the, who he now could see was a boy's, shoulder. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he finally spoke.
“Excuse me, do you happen to, by any chance, know who Sora Hiroaki is?” he asked. The boy, a bit shocked for a moment, suddenly grinned, looking almost like Sora himself.
“Do I know Sora? Of course I do! He's one of the funniest and best little cousins ever!” he exclaimed. Turning himself around to face Tore-N, he held out his hand. “Ventus Hiroaki, at your service. You would be...?” Blinking for a moment, the brown haired boy then shook Ventus's hand while responding.
“Tore-N Koigokoro. Nice to meet you Ventus. And, did you say Sora was your cousin?” he asked. Ventus smiled yet again.
“Yup, my one and only- well, no, not my only, I mean, there's Vanitas too... but yeah, I’m guessing you don't know him. Anyways, what's this about Sora?”
“He's, well, you see, Sora's, uh.” Tore-N found himself struggling to word what he wanted to say right. This was Sora's cousin he was talking to, how could he spread the news that the little first year had gone missing? Not to mention it was a bit off-putting, considering all he'd done to Sora in the past. Ventus seemed pretty fond of the spiky brunette Hiroaki, so Tore-N didn't really think he would be too favored if he really got to know him.
Taking yet another deep breath, he decided to go right to the point. “You see, Sora's gone missing. I've been looking for him, actually, and kind of thought you were him as well...” he said, chuckling somewhat embarrassed and scratching the back of his head.
“Sora's missing? Well, that seems pretty serious... Although, you know what, I'll help you out. Let's head back to the main house. There are bound to be more answers there than anywhere else.” Tore-n was a bit confused now. Ventus, while seeming like a very caring and protective person, and obviously fond of Sora, didn't seem to fazed by the fact that Sora was missing. “Looks like I'm not as good a judge of character as I thought I was...” he thought. Nonetheless, he simply followed Ventus as he started to walk away. Besides, he was a bit curious what he'd meant by “there'd be more answers there than here.”
Roxas POV
Roxas sighed as the house came into view. Riku and Adelaide had actually caught him, which he was pretty annoyed at. For one, he didn't enjoy getting tackled by Riku. That guy was huge! Well, compared to him at least. Plus, they were forcing him to stop his fun. This way, he'd have to address everyone, and he wasn't even sure where everyone was either. The problem, however, was solved momentarily.
As the three made their way to the front yard sort of area, they were greeted by Namine, Vanitas, Tore-N, and Ventus. Roxas's eyes widened. Ventus and Vanitas?! What were they doing here? Walking up to them, he wore a puzzled expression.
“Ven?Vanitas? What' are you-”
“Roxas! You jerk!” Everyone's heads turned as the front door slammed open to see a very much annoyed, very much fine, very much not missing Sora Hiroaki.
Chapter 10
Everyone's eyes were glued to the small brunette. While they didn't know it, they all had basically the same thought in mind.
“Sora?!” Before these thoughts could be voiced however, the steaming first year continued talking. He walked right up to Roxas and grabbed his shoulders.
“What is your problem!? Here I am, minding my own business, unpacking my suitcase, and then you come out of nowhere and shove me in a closet! I had to break the stupid door down to get out, which, by the way, you are paying for. Plus, you stacked up all sorts of junk in front of the door, which is why it took me so long. What's the deal? That closet was stuffy! Not to mention dark...” The last part was said more under his breath, but Roxas wasn't too focused on his cousin. No, he was more aware of the growing anger radiating from the rest of the group. Everyone was now staring at him, although Ventus didn't look too surprised. He whispered something to Tore-N, and the boy seemed to nod in agreement.
Taking Sora's hands off his shoulders, the blonde faced the group.
“Okay, I guess now's the best time to explain myself, huh? Well, this was supposed to be a fun, summer activity. You know, like a scavenger hunt, or something. Only, Sora was the only thing you had to find,” he explained. “I thought it'd be fun to start the vacation off with something so...” His voice trailed off. He didn't sense any change in anyone's mood, and that meant he probably shouldn't tell them that his actual reason was to get a plot for his “mystery disappearance” blog...
Riku was the first to step forward.
“So, Roxas, you're saying that everyone was worried sick and running around the island, fearing the worst and worrying even more just for some activity? A game?” he asked, somewhat disbelieving. The blonde only nodded. Exchanging a few glances with each other, everyone excluding Ventus and Namine started advancing on him. Backing up, Roxas started to sweat.
“Y-you know guys, it was just a harmless game. I mean, you all found your ways here, right? Right?” He looked around. They were still moving towards him. Suddenly, the door burst open again, and Hiro appeared.
“Hey, why are you all out here? I was looking for you in-” Roxas grabbed him before he could finish. He somewhat flung him towards the angry students and ran as fast as he could. Ignoring Hiro, they all chased after the small blonde shouting, “Roxas! Get back here!”
Staring at them until they disappeared, Hiro glanced at Namine and Ventus, whom had stayed behind.
“Alright, I'm lost. I only just found a bag of chips in the way-too-big kitchen, and everyone seems mad at Roxas. Mind filling me in?” Namine exchanged looks with Ventus. The older boy stepped forward, and helped Hiro off the ground, as he'd been shoved to the ground by Roxas.
“Well, you see, it all started when Roxas claimed that Sora was missing...”
~FIN
Okay! It's done! And, I want to explain a few things: first, Ventus and Vanitas were both on the island because well, there's a Hiroaki house, right? So they've got to be there. Roxas just didn't realize they were here, or that they'd come back with this friends and all... And, about Ventus knowing about the situation, he's Roxas's older brother, and kind of put the pieces together based on the facts he was given, and what he knew about his little brother. If there are any more questions, feel free to contact me or something....
